Chapter 1 - NEW BEGINNING

1987,

an old manor on the outskirts of Wiltshire, England.

This manor occupies a huge area and is filled with an ancient, gloomy atmosphere. If some brave people want to go in and take a look, to see if there are any supernatural events. However, ordinary people do not have the opportunity to enter this manor. Because this is a wizard's manor, a spell has been cast around it to prevent ordinary people from entering the wizard world.

The owner of the manor is Lucius Malfoy, a former Death Eater.

"It's finally over." Draco Malfoy closed the book and sighed heavily while sitting on the chair. The continuous high-intensity reading was too much for his eight-year-old body. There were a few big words printed on the cover of the book - "A Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi" by Philida Spurr.

"Unconsciously, I have been in this world for eight years." Malfoy looked at the floor-length mirror in the study, looked at his platinum-blonde hair and small body, and still felt a sense of unreality. He actually traveled through time. He just saved a primary school student that year, and then he was hit by a car and traveled through time. He traveled to the world of Harry Potter again, and the person who replaced him was one of the main supporting characters, Malfoy.

In his previous life, as a fan of novels and movies, he was well aware of the plot development of the original novel, and he felt very sorry for Malfoy in the original novel. "He has a good family background and handsome looks, but he only does low-level villain things. He is not bad enough, and he only does cheap things to oppose Harry Potter. His father is just a influential wizard who is good at political schemes." However, these are just his views before he traveled through time. After traveling through time, he naturally would not follow the original novel and live his life according to the original trajectory. Since he traveled through time, wouldn't it be a waste of such a good opportunity if he didn't change the course of history??

"It seems that this is the only benefit brought by time travel." Looking at the piles of books in the study, Malfoy showed a satisfied smile.

"Photographic memory and improved comprehension ability, what level of cheating is this?" Malfoy couldn't help but think.

Since you want to change the trajectory of your life, strength is naturally the most important factor. If you have the same strength as Voldemort and don't commit crimes, coupled with your inherited handsome looks and family background, you are simply the standard template of a winner in life.

With an adult soul in his body, Malfoy is naturally not as active as a child. On the contrary, as a well-educated Malfoy, he understands one truth: "Knowledge is power."

Without a good theoretical foundation, all magic is castles in the air. If Tom Riddle had not been led to Hogwarts by Dumbledore, he would have been at most a wild wizard. Malfoy, who had already understood this, would not miss the rare free time. Due to his age, he could not effectively control the casting of spells yet, so he naturally used this time to learn the basic magical knowledge. Herbology, standard spells and other basic subjects were the must-learn contents.

"I didn't become a top student in my previous life, so I have to satisfy my addiction to being a top student in this life." Since he determined his goal, Malfoy began to work hard for it, and in the process he was surprised to find that his memory and comprehension abilities were more than one level higher than in his previous life. Perhaps it can only be attributed to time travel.

"Knock knock knock" there was a knock on the door.

"Young Master, the master will ask you to go over there." The butler's voice came from outside the door.

"Okay, I got it." After putting the books back to their original places, Malfoy pushed open the door and walked around a few corners to Lucius Malfoy's study.

"Father, what do you want to talk to me about?" After Malfoy faced the reality, he decided to play the role of the son seriously. There was no other way to have such a cheap father. Moreover, although he was a villain in the original book, he was still quite good to his family.

"I just need to find an opportunity to teach him the art of standing in line.

Voldemort's team is not easy to follow. In the original book, if Narcissa hadn't saved Harry's life, assuming the Dark Lord still lost, this family might have been sent to Azkaban. Am I just hoping my father will become a dragon?" Looking at Lucius, Malfoy's thoughts could not help but spread.

"How's your study progress?" Lucius stood by the window. The sunlight outside the window made Lucius's already pale face even gloomier. But the concern in his tone was real.

Unlike other children of the same age, Malfoy was very silent since he was a baby. He basically didn't cry or make a fuss, and he seldom spoke when he was older. Some gossipy servants began to spread the word: "It seems that the young master is a mute. He can't even recite the spell, which is equivalent to a squib." This made Lucius, who was proud of his bloodline and family background, furious and dealt with those servants. But he couldn't help but have doubts: "My child is too abnormal, he can't really be a squib."

As a result, when Lucius personally started to teach Malfoy, he found that his child was an absolute genius. Not to mention the learning of daily life behaviors, he was extremely interested in magic. After learning to read, his learning progress was even faster. He could even consciously control his magic power. Once, Lucius gave his wand to Malfoy with a try-it mentality and taught him a simple spell. As a result, Malfoy succeeded in casting the spell at once. The initial silence naturally became a symbol of talent. Rather than a symbol of a squib.

Which parent doesn't want their son to be successful? In addition, Malfoy's passion for magic is even higher than Lucius himself, so Lucius naturally has extremely high expectations for Malfoy.

"Everything is fine, father. Judging from the knowledge reserves, it should have reached the level of a third-year student in school," Malfoy replied.

"Very good, you are worthy of being the heir of the Malfoy family." Lucius was very satisfied, and a slight smile appeared on his pale face.

"Tomorrow the Parkinson family will come to visit us. I heard there is a girl of your age. How about it? Are you interested?" Lucius said this to Malfoy in a rare and slightly joking way. Perhaps it was because Malfoy's talent was too outstanding, and Lucius's cheerful mood even weakened his gloomy temperament. Malfoy's precocity and the tradition of intermarriage between pure-blood wizards also showed that Lucius' words were not entirely a joke.

"Father, you are joking." Malfoy just said softly. But his heart began to surge: "Parkinson? Pansy? How should I get along with her?"

#2Chapter 2 PansyThe next morning, Malfoy continued studying in his study as usual.

After three knocks on the door, the old butler's voice came: "Master, someone from the Parkinson family is here. The master wants you to go out and meet them."

"Okay, I'll be right there," Malfoy replied.

Malfoy slowly closed the book and came to the living room. From a distance, he saw two figures, one tall and one short. They were probably the Parkinson family members who visited today.

"Hector, it's been a long time since we last met. You're still the same." Lucius showed a rare smile on his face, but no one knew how sincere this smile was.

"Yeah, long time no see, Lucius." Hector also made a symbolic polite remark.

"Little Draco, come here." Lucius waved to Malfoy, "This is your Uncle Hector, one of my best friends back then, and he still is."

"Hello, Uncle Hector." Malfoy bowed slightly, greeted politely, and fell silent.

"I heard you're a squib?" A clear voice suddenly came. There was no need to ask who the owner of the voice was, of course, his so-called official match - Parkinson Pansy.

"She is predictably bad." Malfoy thought silently, and couldn't help but look at Pansy. Her chestnut hair was short and scattered between her ears, and her slightly messy bangs covered most of her forehead. She was wearing a Gothic black pleated dress, and her arrogant look made people think of a word - princess. However, in the Parkinson family, Pansy was also very beloved, so it was not an exaggeration to say that she was a little princess. But the harsh words she spoke naturally broke this noble temperament.

"Pansy! Is this the etiquette I taught you?" Hector's face changed when he heard this, and he immediately scolded Pansy. "Hurry up and apologize to your Uncle Lucius and Master Malfoy."

"Hmph." Pansy turned her head away without saying a word.

"Children are ignorant. Hector, you don't have to be angry. Malfoy, go show Pansy around the manor. Your uncle and I have some things to discuss." Lucius seemed to have not heard the insulting words towards the family just now.

"Yes, father." Malfoy nodded slightly.

"Pansy, go hang out with Malfoy and remember to apologize."

"I don't want to follow a squib." Pansy whispered to herself.

"Pansy!" Hector's tone became heavier.

"Please come in, beautiful lady." Malfoy bowed slightly and performed a gentleman's courtesy. "I think our fathers must have important matters to discuss. It's better for us not to disturb them for now."

"What a little gentleman, his manners are impeccable." Hector couldn't help but praise him. "Lucius, your education is really successful. Unlike Pansy in our family, she has been spoiled since she was a child, lawless, and dares to say anything."

Lucius chuckled and said, "Children should not be restrained in their words. It's good to be lively. Let the children spend more time together." As soon as he finished speaking, he turned to Malfoy and said, "I believe you will get along well. Treat Pansy well. Your uncle and I will go upstairs first. We haven't seen each other for a long time. It's time to catch up." After that, he went upstairs with Hector and disappeared at the end of the stairs.

There was a silence after that. It was like being cursed to silence. But the silence was finally broken by Malfoy. "Even if you don't like me, it would be more boring to just stand here than to be with me. You might find something that interests you in this manor?" As an adult soul, it was not worth it to argue with a little girl, so Malfoy was the first to speak and break the deadlock.

It seemed that she felt it was boring to just stand there, so Pansy nodded reluctantly: "Then I will mercifully let you be my tour guide.

"There was a hint of expectation under the helpless expression. After all, the Malfoy family is also one of the ancient wizard families. Maybe something interesting will happen in the mysterious manor.

"It's my pleasure," Malfoy replied.

"Little girls are really hard to please." Malfoy, who was single in his previous life, couldn't help but complain.

The two of them walked slowly in the corridor. The expensive lamps in the hallway emitted a gentle light, which clearly illuminated the lines on the gray and black walls formed by the erosion of time. Every time they walked a certain distance, they could see a long-lost celebrity painting hanging on the wall, or a portrait of the Malfoy family's ancestors.

Because the internal structure of Malfoy Manor is very complicated, the layout of various corridors is winding and tortuous, and there are many forks. People who are not very familiar with it can easily get lost, so Malfoy emphasized to Pansy: "Remember to follow me closely, don't get lost."

"You've said this three times. Aren't you annoying me, little Squib?" Pansy was full of impatience. "You said you were going to take me to see something interesting. Where is it? Don't tell me it's these crappy paintings in the corridor." Pansy had lost her patience after walking around in the corridors. She complained to Malfoy.

"The artists of these paintings and the ancestors of the Malfoy family would cry if they heard what you said." Malfoy couldn't help but think. "What a difficult little girl to serve. How can I comfort her?" Malfoy thought as he walked.

"This room is very special." Suddenly, a voice came from behind.

Hearing this, Malfoy suddenly turned his head and looked in the dim light, only to see Pansy standing in front of a stone door with some strange symbols carved on it, exuding a gloomy atmosphere.

"There's something wrong with this room." Malfoy's mind immediately flashed through a book he had read about the dark arts. Many of the symbols on the book were exactly the spells of ancient magic.

"Pansy, don't go in!" Malfoy shouted to Pansy hurriedly, but it was too late. Pansy, full of curiosity, pushed the door open and walked in. It was strange that the heavy stone door was opened by an eight-year-old girl. Then something even more abnormal happened. The stone door gradually began to close by itself. Pansy, who was looking at the room behind the stone door, did not notice it.

"Oh." Malfoy shook his head and rushed in before the door closed.

With a creaking sound, the stone door closed heavily. The light that was previously available in the room thanks to the lamps outside the door also disappeared. Pansy, who was carefully observing the secret room, could not help but come back to her senses.

"Fortunately it's not a forbidden place." After rushing in, Malfoy immediately scanned the room with the help of the weak light. Looking at some magic materials and broken wands, Malfoy immediately determined what this place was based on his rich knowledge.

"With this kind of security measures, just two people can break in. How dare you study the dark arts with peace of mind, father? Aren't you afraid of a sudden attack from the Ministry of Magic?" Based on the clues at the scene, the knowledge in his mind and his understanding of Lucius, Malfoy quickly came to the conclusion: this secret room is none other than the laboratory where Lucius usually studies the dark arts.

Malfoy complained in his heart. But now was not the time to worry about these things. The key was how to get out. "I wonder if this young lady was frightened." Malfoy began to have a headache again. If it weren't for this burden, it would be fine for him to stay in this dark secret room. Although he hadn't started to study any advanced black magic yet, he could still do it with just a fluorescent flash. With some books in this secret room to kill time, it wouldn't be a big problem to stay there for a day. But now it was different.

Pansy seemed to have finally come to her senses. Her expression could not be seen in the darkness, but if there was light, Malfoy would be able to see that her slightly trembling body betrayed the fact that she was afraid.

Pansy tried to remain calm and said, "What kind of place is this in your house? It's so gloomy and there's not even a light. Isn't it said that the Malfoy family is famous for their wealth? Can't they even afford a light? There is no place like this in my house." Although she was afraid, her sharp-tongued nature did not change.

Malfoy did not reply in the darkness.

Because he decided to teach this little Loli a little lesson.

"Why don't you say something? Are you scared silly?" Pansy continued.
