Chapter 70 - Chapter 70;A RECIPE FOR CHAOS

Chapter 70

Chu Chu stood at the edge of the cliff, the ground beneath her seemingly ready to give way at any moment. The view was breathtaking, but her focus was elsewhere. She signaled Minji silently, urging her to approach.

"What are you doing?" she hissed "Where's Na Yeon?"

Just then, Shantel approached, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "She's at the front!"

"Bring her here!" Chu Chu nearly yelled, frustration spilling over.

"How?" Minji shot back, bewildered.

"Tell her there's treasure or something!" Chu Chu snapped, her impatience bubbling to the surface.

Shantel's brow furrowed. "But what exactly is your plan?"

Chu Chu rolled her eyes, her irritation palpable. "My plan is simple: I'm going to push her off!"

Minji and Shantel exchanged worried glances. "You want to kill her?" they both exclaimed, voices rising in disbelief.

"No! She'll just get a few scratches and end up in the hospital. Then I can carry out my plans!" Chu Chu's voice was laced with anger.

"What do you plan to do with Hyun Min?" Shantel asked boldly, her curiosity piqued.

"Oh God… Are you seriously asking that? Fine, I'm going to take advantage of him somehow! I'll take pictures, use them to threaten him, so he'll have to date me!" Chu Chu's tone was venomous, each word dripping with desperation.

Minji and Shantel shared another cautious glance, the weight of the situation sinking in. They didn't voice their concerns but silently agreed to follow through with Chu Chu's reckless scheme.

With a determined stride, Shantel headed out, intent on carrying out the plan. Spotting Na Yeon in the distance, she sprinted towards her.

"Hey guys, I found a treasure!" Shantel called out, her voice layered with fake excitement.

The other students began to rush forward, curiosity ignited by the prospect of treasure, but Na Yeon was already ahead of them, her instincts sharp.

"Where? Where? Where?" she demanded, her eyes wide with anticipation. But then suspicion crept in. "Why didn't you take it?"

Shantel raised her hand in mock innocence. "Because I already found one!"

Na Yeon's eyes sparkled with ambition as she bolted forward, ignoring the hesitant students who knew all too well the lengths she would go to if she didn't find what she was looking for.

Shantel directed Na Yeon toward the edge, urging her to look around.

"But I don't see a flag," Na Yeon protested, glancing around in confusion.

Before she could react, someone roughly shoved her from behind, sending her tumbling over the cliff. Na Yeon rolled down the steep slope, her cries swallowed by the wind.

Chu Chu stood smiling at the edge. "What if something happens to her?" Shantel asked, her eyes wide with uncertainty.

"Nothing will happen, just maybe broken bones and scratches, that's enough!" Chu Chu replied, her grin widening with excitement.

"Let's call the other students to get her or something!" Chu Chu said eagerly, moving away from the cliff's edge.

They called out to the other students, this time with Minji taking the lead. "Guys! Guys! Something has happened to Na Yeon—she rolled off the cliff!" Minji said, feigning panic as she rushed back towards them.

Alarm spread like wildfire through the group, and the other students sprinted forward, Chu Chu, Minji, and Shantel exchanged glances, triumphant as they walked away, leaving chaos in their wake.

As they departed, the sun gleamed down on the cliff, indifferent to the dark intentions that had just unfolded. The thrill of the moment was intoxicating, and all they could do was look forward, unaware of the consequences their actions might unleash.

**Sarah's POV**

Hyun Min and I stood silently, the world around us fading as his gaze locked onto mine. He began to walk toward me, each slow stride deliberate, hands shoved deep into his pockets. Just as the tension reached its peak, a loud grumble echoed through the air.

"I guess you're hungry!" I teased, a chuckle escaping my lips, breaking the stillness between us.

"That wasn't from me!" he shot back, his voice laced with mock indignation.

"Oh right… it was from me!" I admitted, heat flooding my cheeks. Embarrassment swept over me like a wave, and I hurriedly turned away, desperate to escape the intensity of his gaze.

Outside, I leaned against the cool wall, pants escaping my lips like I had just sprinted a mile. That stare… that sexy, smoldering gaze of his had me all flustered. Gosh, why did he have to be so captivating?

I shook off my thoughts and made my way toward the camp kitchen, the soft murmur of voices and the scent of something delicious guiding me. As I stepped under the shade, a middle-aged woman behind the counter looked up and smiled warmly at me. I recognized her—she was the chef from school, likely brought along to feed us.

"You didn't join the game!" she remarked, her voice bright, as she set a steaming cup of coffee in front of me.

"No, I couldn't… I have a visitor!" I replied quickly, hoping the words would convey the charm of my situation.

But she didn't seem to grasp my meaning. Her smile remained.

As she looked at me with a confused expression, I realized I needed to clarify. "I mean my.....pe...riod!" I said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

She burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but join in. The tension was broken, and she quickly got up and headed into the kitchen. Moments later, she returned with a steaming hot breakfast spread before me.

As she placed the last dish down, the aroma of exotic spices wafted up, teasing my senses. "Do you understand Korean?" she asked with a smile.

I shook my head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "No, but I have a tutor," I replied, trying to save face.

She nodded understandingly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. As I began to dig into the food, the flavors exploded on my palate. It wasn't bad, but it was certainly different from what I was used to. The one thing I recognized was the spicy kick of kimchi.

As I looked up, our eyes met, and I asked, "Why do Koreans eat plenty of dishes at once?" My curiosity got the better of me.

She smiled, her face lighting up with amusement. "It's just our tradition and culture," she said, her voice filled with pride.

I nodded, taking a bite of the food. The flavors danced on my tongue, The kimchi added a tangy kick, and I found myself enjoying the meal more with each passing moment.
