Damon got to his feet, looking very furious. "Of course we are, you're his daughter after all," he snapped as he gave me a very harsh look.
"You should definitely be punished for that and you're well aware of that. That's how things had worked for centuries, a child gets to suffer the sins of his father: so you saying you're not aware of that doesn't change anything." Damon continued in a sharp voice that made me swallow emptily as I stared at him from my spot a few feet away from them.
I let out a long breath then I cleared my throat before speaking.
"So… does this mean you're all gonna punish me?" I asked quietly and when they didn't respond, I let out a scoff of disbelief.
"You told me you'd never hurt me, you said I wasn't a prisoner here, and you said you'd protect me." I breathed out and Damon snorted before rolling his eyes.
