Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: What Sin Have I Committed to Marry Such a Disaster

The man's voice was extremely hoarse, with an unusual flush on his face. Only then did Bella Green remember.

Yesterday she had a big fight with him, disregarding the torrential rain and driving him out. Outside the villa, the man stood there in loungewear, without a phone or keys, for half the night.

Suddenly, Bella Green realized something, her eyes widened immediately, her voice trembling with fear: "Gas, gas!"

Mason Bennett frowned and only then noticed the faint smell of gas in the air. He had a severe cold and could hardly smell anything, but the fact that he could now faintly smell gas suggested how strong it was.

Mason Bennett stood up and strode towards the kitchen.

"Ring ring ring..."

The ring of the landline telephone in the hotel and the alarm clock rang simultaneously, making the moment feel particularly abrupt and eerie.

This sound caused Bella Green's pupils to contract instantly.

At the same time, Mason Bennett also noticed the phone on the coffee table, his face changed suddenly, and he turned around quickly to dive towards Bella Green.

The half-tilted landline phone was knocked off by the violently shaking alarm clock next to it, causing the receiver to fall off. In an instant, the spark met the gas, and with a loud boom, the entire presidential suite turned a fiery red.

In the scarlet world, in Bella Green's eyes, there was only the man rushing towards her regardless of everything.

As darkness swept in, Bella Green had only one thought.

Mason Bennett, what sin did you commit in your past life to marry a disaster like me?

If there is a next life, don't meet me again...

...

...

As her consciousness gradually returned, Bella Green only felt that her headache was about to kill her, and her mind was in chaos. Around her, the incessant noise of voices made her instinctively frown.

"Now the Green Family's face has been completely disgraced by her. If the engagement is broken, just let it be. But jumping off a building—does she think it's not embarrassing enough? I've told you, children raised outside have no manners. Just give her some money and let it be, why insist on bringing her back?"

"Mom, Bella is just too heartbroken. The most important thing now is that she's okay."

A familiar female voice exploded in Bella Green's mind, and resentment surged like a flood. But at this moment, she couldn't even open her eyes. It felt like her soul was trapped in darkness.

"Sister, can you stop always thinking about others? Clearly, you have the engagement with Vivian's brother, and when she came, she grabbed your fiancé. Getting the engagement annulled was expected, and then she pulled this whole jumping off a building stunt. Isn't it just nonsense?"

The uniquely hoarse voice of a teenage boy going through puberty was filled with displeasure and disgust.

"Xiao Yi." The woman's voice carried a tinge of helplessness.

Bella Green struggled for a long time before finally opening her eyes. Her limbs gradually regained sensation. She looked up at the ceiling, hearing the voices of the Green Family's mother and sons around her.

She turned her head and looked at the few people beside the hospital bed, but her mind was in turmoil.

What is going on?

Broken engagement? Jumping off a building?

Wasn't this what happened shortly after she was brought back to the Green Family?

She, has been reborn!?

"Heh..." A low laugh was squeezed out from her chest.

Bella Green greedily looked at the sunlight in front of her, breathing desperately, as if only in this way could she prove she was still alive.

"Bella Green, do you have no shame? You can still laugh after everything. Do you know that because of you, the Green Family has become a joke in Brocade City now."

Seeing Bella Green wake up and even laugh, Francesca Willis was enraged and cursed furiously.
