The announcement was sudden.
Commander's voice rang out:
> "Unit 9. Line up. Today, you meet the bloodlines that made you."
Six glowing gates shimmered open. From each one, powerful figures stepped out—each of them radiating control, poise, and overwhelming soul presence.
One by One, They Arrived:
Lara's Father and Mother – known as The Thunder Duo, famous for their lightning-infused blade and barrier technique.
Kevin's Father and Mother – rogue-style battle magicians. His father could twist fire into solid threads, his mother manipulated illusions.
Teaha's Parents – quiet storm warriors from the East; his father once served as general in a silent war, his mother wielded sharp-edged sound waves.
Mira's Sister and Parents – healers and wavecasters from the Moonwater Sect. Her sister walked with grace, her mother's hands glowed with moonlight.
Bihoo's Family Mother Enira, the strategist of the Northern Front.
Father, a warlord turned swordmaster.
Older Brother, charming but sharp-eyed, his aura burning gold-red.
Each of them bowed slightly to the students.
Then Bihoo's brother looked around and said:
> "Wait—where's Aunty and Uncle? One of the students doesn't have anyone here?"
Everyone turned to look.
Nisa, standing quietly, blinked.
"Aunty…? Uncle…?" she murmured, confused.
The commander's expression shifted.
Kevin whispered, "Wait—no one's here for Nisa?"
She said softly, "I've never met them… ever."
The atmosphere turned heavy.
The commander took a step forward.
> "Nisa's parents were part of a lost Soul Order. They vanished many years ago during a forbidden mission near the Ghost Frontier. Their fate… is unknown."
Gasps.
Bihoo stared at her, fists tightening.
Nisa didn't speak.
She just lowered her eyes… and stepped out of line.
Later That Day – Under the Tree
The team sat in awkward silence, watching their powerful families speak to one another.
Only Nisa stayed on her own.
She didn't ask questions.
She didn't cry.
But Mira and Lara noticed the way her hands gripped her jade.
Bihoo finally stood up and walked toward her—
