"Ma'am, everyone in the garden saw him wielding a weapon to hurt Mrs. Willis. There's no rebutting that."
"You saw wrong. He didn't do anything of that nature. You don't know what you're talking about."
"I understand your emotions are running high, maybe because he's a close peer of yours, but I urge you not to be an obstruction of justice."

"You don't have a choice or say in this, ma'am," the officer explained quietly.
The other officers proceeded to pull Grant from the bed, placing him in handcuffs.
Grant started to wriggle against their hold, shouting.
"Sir, please calm down," the officer said, pressing him down to put the handcuffs on him.
Grant's hands fought against the handcuffs.
"You can't take him. He's in bad shape. Are you not seeing his injury is bleeding? He needs to stay in the hospital just for a while, not go to some cell." She pushed against the officer.
