"And I never said it was. I just want you and your lowly daughter away from him; that's all. As for his other woman, Nyx, I'll deal with her when I am ready to do that."

Something about that name felt overly familiar. My blood ran cold as I thought about the woman from Silver moon pack. The one who had cut ties and ended her engagement with the Prince—Amara's father— because she'd fallen in love with a butler.
Shaking my head to rid myself of these thoughts, and deciding that my life was probably an unending sequence of spiraling emotions, I raised my gaze to meet Ms Jennifer's and bowed. "I'll do just that." I said slowly, surely. "I'll ensure that my daughter doesn't return here and that she stays at Beta Orion's manor."
