The dungeon trembled again.

A crack split the far wall, and from it oozed a dark, violet mist — thick and choking. Even the Goliath, towering and primal, stumbled back in confusion. Its deep orange eyes flickered with uncertainty.

Ethan felt it in his bones — this wasn't just dungeon pressure. Something had awakened.

From within the cracked wall, a second creature began to emerge. Hulking, obsidian-colored skin and bone armor laced its thick body. Its face was less beast and more horror — half-human, half-bull, with glowing red eyes that radiated hatred."Another Minotaur... no," Ethan muttered, eyes widening. "A mutant... like the last one... but this one's more refined. It's intelligent."The creature stepped fully into the room, towering just a bit smaller than the Goliath, but the air around it was crushing.

Even the Goliath roared in challenge. The mutant turned, analyzing it — then without a sound, it charged.

Ethan and Lili could only watch in stunned silence as the two monsters collided — the impact sending dust and shockwaves across the battlefield.

"They're fighting each other?" Lili whispered.

"For now," Ethan said, quickly drinking a potion and yanking the rock shard from his leg. Blood spurted, but the healing already kicked in.

He stood, gripping his sword. "This is our only chance."

"What do you mean?" Lili said, already loading another bolt.

Ethan's eyes were sharp. Focused.

"If one kills the other, we'll be left with a winner — fresh or not. And something tells me that new one's not your average dungeon spawn. We hit both from the sides. Pressure them. Keep them wounded. When one falls, we finish the other."

Lili nodded, swallowing her fear.

"I'll cover you."

With a roar, Ethan dashed forward once again.

The Goliath and the mutant traded blows — the Goliath's massive fists colliding with the mutant's bone-clad arms. The sound was like thunder crashing through the cavern. Dust, rubble, blood. The mutant was faster, more precise, but the Goliath had power.

Ethan flanked them, and sliced into the mutant's hamstring. Black ichor sprayed as it shrieked — and in that moment, the Goliath landed a crushing uppercut that launched the mutant backward into the wall.

"Good," Ethan growled, panting. "Lili!"

"Already on it!"

Twang. Twang.

Two bolts flew — both slammed into the Goliath's back. It turned, enraged, just as Ethan slid beneath its legs, slashing upward through its tendons.

The beast stumbled.

But the mutant wasn't down.

With a feral screech, it leapt from the wall — faster than either of them expected — and drove both fists into the Goliath's spine.

Crack!

The Goliath fell to its knees, blood pouring from its mouth.

"Now!" Ethan shouted.

He sprinted toward the Goliath, leaping onto its shoulder, and drove his sword down into its neck — all the way to the hilt.

The creature gave one last roar... then collapsed.

Boom.

The ground shook with its death.

But Ethan didn't stop.

He ripped his blade free, spun, and met the charging mutant head-on — blades clashing with claws, steel against bone.

"You're next," Ethan growled.

The mutant swung with brutal force, but Ethan deflected, twisting under its arm and slicing across its ribs. It struck back, its claw grazing Ethan's cheek — a line of red blossoming instantly.

Ethan winced but held firm.

Twang.

A bolt slammed into the back of the mutant's neck, making it stumble.

Ethan didn't hesitate — he dropped his dagger, gripped his sword with both hands, and plunged it upward into the beast's heart as it turned.

The mutant froze, shuddered... and let out a low, gurgled cry.

Then it fell — face-first, dust billowing up around its massive corpse.

Silence returned to the dungeon.

Ethan stood there, panting, drenched in sweat and blood.

Lili rushed to his side. "Ethan-sama! Are you—?"

He raised a hand. "I'm okay. Just... tired."

They both looked at the carnage around them — two monsters, dead. A boss and something far worse."What the hell was that thing?" Ethan thought, still catching his breath. "It wasn't supposed to be here. That was no normal spawn..."Lili was staring at him in awe.

"No one would believe this unless they saw it," she said. "You... you took down both. Ethan-sama, that was—"

He waved her off, eyes still fixed on the mutant's body.

Ethan said."That one a hell of a fight".
