Alex Ray parked the car smoothly and turned his attention to the massive mech piloted by Obadiah Stane.

With one hand, he extended his control over the machine.

As soon as Tony Stark stepped out of the vehicle, he rushed straight toward Pepper Potts. His eyes were full of worry as he embraced her tightly, as if trying to shield her from the world.

He was terrified—if he'd arrived even a second later, Pepper might've died. He couldn't imagine life without her.

Pepper clung to him just as tightly, like she was holding on to a lifeline. Fear still lingered in her eyes, and she couldn't quite believe she was safe.

If she hadn't felt Tony's body warmth and heartbeat, she wouldn't have thought this was real.

"Hey, hey, hey. Why don't you two just get married right now?" Alex Ray walked over with a teasing glint in his eye. "Is now really the time for a public love fest?"

But most of his attention was on the massive mech in front of him.

"So… should I handle this, or do you want to do it yourself?" Alex asked, glancing sideways at Tony.

Tony quickly set aside his emotions and glared furiously at Obadiah inside the mech. "Why are you doing this? I can't believe you'd betray me like this."

Inside the mech, Obadiah's voice came through, cold and venomous. "I've had enough of you! That company should have been mine. Everything was perfect—until your damn mutant friend got involved. I could've succeeded long ago!"

His voice rose in fury. "If I can't get what I want, then let's all die together!"

He activated the self-destruct sequence in the mech, fully intent on taking everyone down with him.

Seeing this, Alex immediately used his magnetic powers to lift the mech off the ground and suspend it mid-air.

As the mech began to glow red-hot, he pushed the magnetic field harder, launching the machine upward.

A deafening explosion tore through the night sky. Fire erupted in a column, heat waves rippling through the city.

Residents poured out of their homes to stare at the brilliant fireball that lit up the sky.

As the last echoes of the blast faded, Alex descended with quiet grace.

He gazed at the fading smoke and murmured, "Honestly, your plan never would've worked—not with me around."

Though his words were aimed at Obadiah, the man was already gone.

Miles Morales stood rooted in place, staring in awe at Alex as he flew with effortless control and dismantled a crisis so elegantly. His heart brimmed with admiration and envy.

He had always dreamed of possessing such power—of handling problems with the same kind of cool, calculated mastery.

Silently, he made a promise to himself: he would follow Alex's lead, improve his skills, and become just as remarkable.

Meanwhile, Tony stared at the burning wreckage high in the sky. He was conflicted. Though he and Obadiah had drifted apart, they had once been partners. Now that Obadiah was dead, Tony couldn't help but feel a pang of grief.

"Alright, we should head back. I've got something I need to discuss with you," Alex said, knowing it was time to shift gears.

Tony stepped up to Alex and clapped him on the shoulder. "Thanks, man. I owe you one. Also, think I could get another one of those miracle pills? I want to run some tests on it."

Clearly, Tony had become very interested in Alex's Senzu Beans.

"Let's take care of business first," Alex said, pulling the still-dazed Miles over. "I think you'll want to hear this kid's story."

Tony eyed Miles from head to toe but couldn't see anything unusual. He frowned. "Let's talk in the car. We can't stand here all night—and I need to get Pepper home."

Just then, federal support finally arrived—led by Tony's old friend, James Rhodes.

Rhodes hurried over, grabbing Tony by the shoulders and giving him a once-over. "You alright? I was worried sick."

Ever since Pepper's emergency call, Rhodes had been rushing around trying to track Tony down. He'd gone to Tony's house, found it empty, and followed the trail here. Now, seeing his friend safe, he finally relaxed.

"But just so you know, you've got a press conference to handle tomorrow. That explosion caught the whole city's attention," Rhodes added.

Tony frowned. He hated press conferences—especially when it came to explaining incidents like this. But he also knew Rhodes was right. It was his responsibility.

Pepper, always sharp, sensed Tony's irritation and instantly shifted back into her professional role.

"No problem. I'll get the staff to start prepping. Tony will be there on time," she said briskly.

Tony gave her a look, and his tension eased. With Pepper on it, everything would be handled.

"If there's nothing else, we'll head out now," Tony said to Rhodes, then looked at Alex.

Rhodes and Alex exchanged nods before Rhodes stayed behind with agents to clean up the scene.

During the drive, Alex prompted Miles to explain how he ended up here through a rupture in the space-time continuum. Pepper listened with skepticism—it was a lot to take in.

Tony, on the other hand, was fascinated, his eyes glittering with curiosity.

"So this kid got sucked into a parallel universe because of a collider? Man, I'd love to meet the guy who built that. Genius concept," Tony said.

"Think you can get him back?" Alex asked.

"No guarantees. I'll need to study it. If I can get access to collider schematics, I could probably build one myself," Tony replied, looking at Miles.

It would take time, especially without blueprints, but Tony was confident. If someone else could design it, so could he.

Miles looked glum. "I don't have the schematics."

He'd been in the middle of a fight with Kingpin when he was pulled through the dimensional rift. Blueprints were the last thing on his mind.

Alex noticed the slump in Miles' shoulders and offered quick reassurance.

"Don't worry. Tony's one of the smartest people I know. Give him some time—he'll figure something out."

Miles looked up at Alex, eyes filled with silent gratitude. He didn't say a word, just nodded.

Hearing Alex's compliment, Tony smirked and gave a confident nod.

"Don't worry. Good news is coming," he said.

A warm feeling blossomed in Miles' chest. In this strange universe, he didn't feel so alone—not with Alex and Tony at his side.

Eventually, Alex dropped Tony and Pepper off at their villa.

Before leaving, he casually tossed a blueprint to Tony—one containing a new element.

Tony scanned it briefly, then looked at Alex in shock. The designs were far beyond what he'd completed. He hadn't even cracked this formula yet.

Alex grinned. "Don't look at me like that. Your dad came up with it. And no, I'm not telling you how I got it."

With that, he turned and got into his old car with Miles, driving off without another word.

Tony stared after him, hesitant to speak. He wanted to say thank you—but his pride got in the way.

Still, Alex had saved him tonight. In the end, Tony could only murmur, "Thanks."

He turned and walked into his villa.

Behind him, Alex's lips curled into a faint smile.

The system activated with a new prompt.

"Congratulations, host. Tony Stark's favorability has reached full stars."
