(That day in the evening)
Iruma went straight to bed after coming back, just as Sullivan was about to go off on his own somewhere a voice stopped him
"Wait" Hikaru begins "Now that nii-chan is gone, Let's talk"
"What do you wanna talk about" Sullivan says as he tilts his head side ways
"Opera-san" Hikaru turns towards Opera who was just about to leave the room "can you bring us tea?"
"Of course" Opera says and suddenly there are two cups of tea on the table
"T-That was quick" Hikaru looks at Opera in surprise, not expecting him to pull a Sebastián on him
"Hm Opera, Hikaru sit" Sullivan says and takes his seat, rests his chin on his hands "Let's talk shall we" the whole vibe of the room changes
'Gulp'
Sullivan sits at the head table , Hikaru and Opera take their seats
"What do you want to talk about" Sullivan asks Hikaru
"I want to know if you know anything about my parents" Hikaru says, looking hopefully at Sullivan
"Well" Sullivan begins " to be honest, at first I thought you were a succubus descendant but after seeing what happened today I can confidently say not only are you a part succubus but also possess water manipulation powers"
"H-How" Hikaru asks shocked that Sullivan deduced his powers in a short time
"It was simple really" Sullivan replies " I felt the change in the flow and when I sensed it I found you not just forming a barrier but manipulating water to a high degree . Hmm... not high degree control but more like near perfect control"
"Amazing" Hikaru gets starry eyed at Sullivan's deducting capability "you are right, I posses the power to control water perfectly, in other words Aqua Dominion "
"As expected of Sullivan-Sama" Opera says finally speaking and making their presence
"Of course" Sullivan in chibi form takes Hikaru's hands "aren't I amazing" Sullivan dances around
Hikaru couldnt understand it, this guy acted like the most carefree guy one minute and the other he acted like a demon lord. 'I guess it's one of the mysteries of the netherworld'
"Oh!! yes Hikaru" Sullivan stops dancing and suddenly looks at Hikaru and asks "do you like guys?"
"W-WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT!???" Hikaru replies stuttering with his words due to embaressment
"Why?" Sullivan begins "It's so I can make sure that guys never get near you of course"
"Isn't it wierd" Hikaru mutters quietly, not looking up
"Look up" Sullivan envelopes Hikaru "it's not weird, why would it be weird. If you love them and they love you, what's the problem. Gender shouldn't matter when it comes to your soul mate"
"Exactly!" Opera cups Hikaru's cheeks "You can like anyone you want regardless of the gender, we don't care if there were such restrictions in your old world. But, here there are no such restrictions. Feel free to like anyone you want"
"Thank you...." a soft voice finally says, Hikaru felt more grateful than he has ever felt all hie life
"So.... " Sullivan begins "do you like guys or not"
"Umm..... " Hikaru's ears go red from embarresmnt "yeah"
"That means I have to kill every guy wjo comes near you" A chibi Sullivan with a spear in his hand says as Opeea nod tbeir head in approval
"Nooooo granpda" Hikaru cries out
(A while later)
"Now Hikaru-kun, do you have anything else you want to know" Sullivan asks in calm and gentle tone
"Granpa just one more thing" Hikaru begins "where is the library, I want to know all that I can about magic"
"Ohoho" Sullivan chuckles and Opera also hide their laugh "if you are that curious then it is right next to kitchen. But, remember even if you want to read, do not read till late at night "
"OK grandpa" Hikaru replies, already heading towards the library
.....
(The next day)
"Iruma-kun wake up" Sullivan barges into Iruma's room to wake him up "Let's have breakfast!!"
'I am scared' Iruma starts to panic as he remembers his current situation 'I dont want to go to that school, if the demons find out that I am a human!!!'
"Can I ask you something" Iruma asks as he raises his hand
"About school??" Sullivan inquires "before that"
'Click'
"To celebrate your and Hikaru's enrollment, I bought you this"
Behind Sullivan were a row of gifts, two uniforms similar to Bablys ones but more robe-like, books, toys, flowers and other such things were laid on the cart and on the front was a sticker on which 'for Iruma and Hikaru' was written
"Wow!!" Hikaru's eyes shined as he went closer to towards the cart "these are all books related to magic!!"
"Of course!!" A chibi Sullivan declares proudly "my grandsons deserve only the best of best!"
"Also see this" Sullivan presents forwards a embroided hankerchief which had their name embroided, Sullivan presents the one with Iruma's name towards Iruma and Opera presents one towards Hikaru "me and Opera embroided these for you two, though as this was the first time we ever did it, we made few mistakes "
Hikaru and Iruma notice how Sullivan's fingers were covered with bandages, both the brothers were overwhelmed by such kindness
"Oh yeah!" Sullivan says as if suddenly remembering something "You wanted to ask something Iruma-kun?"
'I can't!!!!!' Iruma almost cries at his pushover nature
Meanwhile, Hikaru thoroughly enjoys his nii-chan's hilarious expression 'you are so funny nii-chan, I could almost eat you because of your cuteness.....Oops wrong word hihihihi'
Both Hikaru who is fully excited to summon his familiar and Iruma who looks as if he wishes to disappear, leave for school , they both quietly make their way to the school
"Ne nii-chan" Hikaru out of nowhere asks Iruma "what are you afraid of? "
" 'What am I afraid of? ' " Iruma replies "I am afraid of the fact that if any demon finds out I am a human, I may be be eaten!!!"
"Hmm" Hikaru looks up "that is scary I suppose. But, nii-chan whatever happens, I want you to know that grandpa, I and Opera-san will always be with you"
Hikaru at this moment was not lying, when he first came to the netherworld, he had convinced himself that he has no place here to call home, but just in two nights and one day, this place seemed more like home than even the orhpange. 'Grandpa truly loves me and nii-chan like we are his grandsons and Opera-san also cares about us, I am starting to like those two I suppose... I had thought I could never treat Iruma like my big brother but I feel like I can call this person my brother'
Before they knew it, they had made it to the gates of Bablys
"Good morning Iruma-sama" a excited voice says, the brothers turn around only to see Asmodeus greeting Iruma "Good morning to you as well my love"
"Morning" Iruma replies " Asmodeus-kun?" unsure as to what to call him
"Pleass call me Azz" Asmodeus says and he turns towards Hikaru "you can also call me Azz but I would prefer you call me 'beloved'!"
"No" Hikaru's cold voice cuts the air "thank you but I will stick to Azz" Hikaru had thought about it all day long 'I know that Azz is never going to stop pursuing something once he sets his eyes on it, so it's better that I reject his advances till I am sure that I like him and I don't want other people to think I am dating someone'
"I-I see" Asmodeus snaps out of his shock "Well then please allow me to carry your bags for you"
"Woah it's the honour students"
"Yeah, Asmodeus is really serving them"
"Wait doesn't it look like he loves Hikaru"
"Of course he would, I mean who wouldn't"
Hikaru decided to ignore the last two comments and Asmodeus decided to hear only the last two comments
(Scene change)
Hikaru, Iruma and Asmodeus are walking together in the hallway
"Familiar Summoning??" Iruma asks Asmodeus curiously about the matter
"It's a school tradition" Asmodeus "the Familiar we summon also determine our rankings, rankings are like grades in our school"
'I hope my Familiar doesn't eat me!!" Iruma thinks, terrified at the thought
"Well" Asmodoues's voice brings Iruma out of his chain of thoughts "I checked,the three of us are in the same room and here we are"
Hikaru meanwhile is standing, just looking around unaware about the attention he is receiving, his looks just standing there attracted attention of both genders
"Isn't it a bit tense" Iruma asks Asmodeus as he looks around seeing everybody being nervous
"Of course" Asmodeus replies "these Summoning determine not only our rankings but also the one conducting our batch is quite infamous"
'Step step step'
"Silence" a cold voice breaks the atmosphere "I am today's administrator Naberius Kalego" a tall, lean demon with short, deep purple, cropped hair, and a long fringe swept to the side in a wing-like style enters the room
"I am always incharge of this activity " Kalego speaks as he makes his way towards the platform "why you ask? Because I am ruthless, I am the one to judge whether you are useless trash or somewhat useless trash"
"For example" Kalego bends forward to meet Iruma in the eye "if there were a student who'd use their grandfather's influence to recite a vulgar spell on the stage and a cause a ruckus with a brawl on the same day or for example " Klaego turns to meet Hikaru in the eyes "those who give speech which disturbs the peace of the ceremony I will get rid of them immediately "
Kalego resumes his walk towards the platform "likewise I will also expel those I deem inept"
"E-expel"
"Wait is he serious"
"Silence" Kalego snaps his fingers as a cute guide in the shape of a heart with a screen appears beside Kalego. The guide gives the Summoning lecture and steps
1. Make a circle with your blood on the parchment
2. Enter the Summoning circle
3. Throw the parchment in the fire
4. The Familiar will be summoned from the smoke
'Slam'
"That ends the summary" Kalego shows a seal "You have to use only my seal, I will recognise if you use any other"
'He really hates the cute guide!!!' Almost all sweatdrop his actions
"Don't cause any trouble or try anything funny" Kalego looks at Iruma as he says the last part
"Is this dangerous" a random student asks
Before Kalego can reply, a voice replies to the question
"HOW SILLY!" Hikaru comes forward with his eyes closed " a Familiar is your servent for life, even if it wants to,it can not hurt you. If in case it tries, punishment awaits it"
'Clap clap'
"Excellent " Kalego points towards Hikaru "but don't interrupt my lecture again, now let us begin, stay alert" he passes by Iruma and gives him a scary look
'He really dislikes me' Iruma looks towards Hikaru only to see him unbothered about any of the things Kalego-sensei said
"I shall fight for you" Asmodeus looks as if he is ready to attack "I might win if I try a suicide attack"
"YOU LOT!!!" Kalego shouts "get in line"
Soon the ritual starts, one by one, everybody starts to summon their Familiar until it's Asmodeus's turn. The smoke fades away only to reveal a snake with wings, fangs and horns- Gorgon Snake
"Iruma-sama" Asmodeus exclaims as he and his familiar bow
"Wow Azz-kun you are amazing!!" Iruma says
"No I am sure what you will summon will be even more impressive" Asmodeus says and walks towards side to let Hikaru perform the ritual
'As expected of Asmodeus, his bloodline is impressive.....The younger grandson of that idoitc chair-demon, though I scolded him, I have to admit his speech gave even me chills and that powerful water barrier, even if I hate to admit this, Hikaru might be stronger than or equal to Asmodeus..I can't really expel this one , but I can expel the other one'
As Hikaru made his way to the platform, the hall got quiter and quiter till all the eyes were on Hikaru, Hikaru soon throws the parchment into the fire and as smoke arises
'I wonder what will be my Familiar'
"What is that"
"Wow that fox looks so pretty"
To everybodys surprise including Hikaru, from the smoke appeared a fox with Midnight fur, glowing cyan eyes, shimmering aqua tail and overall sleek form (A/N check commnts for the image)
'Kawai' Hikaru runs forward and hugs the fox and brings the fox to Iruma and Asmodeus to show them
"See!!" Hikaru brings the fox towards Iruma's face "Isn't he the cutest!!"
"Umm" Iruma begins "Hi-chan how are you so sure it's a 'he'?"
'Hi-chan' Hikaru replies remembering how Iruma loves to give nickname "dunno I just have a feeling"
"As expected of my beloved" Asmodeus looks at Hikaru with a lovestruck expression "but what kind of fox is it?"
"I don't know either" Hikaru replies and looks towards Kalego for answers
'Tch'
"You have summoned a deep sea fox" Kalego looks Hikaru in the eyes "or otherwise known as the abyss fox- it is said that they are only summoned by those who posses unnatural talent in water magic and also posses unmatchable beauty, they are said to be able to mix in the shadow of their masters and also possess abilities related to water..... that creature is quite rare, it has not been seen for some time"
Now it was the turn of the last student, the other honour student, Iruma. The demons started whispering amongst themselves
"Will he also summon something like Hikaru"
"Nah Hikaru is the cutest and best"
"Dude control your fanboyness"
'Will I be able to summon a familiar' Iruma starts to get nervous 'I am a human that means I have no magic, I am sure any familiar I summon will be weak and if do badly I will be expelled....EXPELLED!!! yes if I do badly I will get expelled, I won't have to come here'
Iruma sighs in relief and in a carefree manner while smiling starts to follow the steps
'Smiling like a fool!!' Kalegl grits his teeths 'he is just like that idotic Mr irresponsible- reckless, noisy, carefree. An amalgamation of the three things I hate. That bustard!!! I can't even remember the how many time he has involved me in his antics, docking my pay on a whim, forcing me to use that stupid lecture guide and making a mess at the entrance Ceremony...but I am incharge of this I will make sure to expell his older grandson at the slightest mistake'
Meanwhile Hikaru has a very amused expression expression his face, barely containing his laughter 'a Summoning is a ritual demons use to form pact with magical beast and it is also a contract which humans use to make demons slave and since nii-chan is a human and has Kalego-sensei's seal...'
'Whosh Whosh'
"This is it!!" Iruma gets excited "this is my Familiar?????"
On the ground in front of Iruma was Kalego or to be more precise half of Kalego, the lower half was still where he stood but the upper one was on the platform
"WHAT DID DID YOU DO!!!!!!!" Kalego shouts at Iruma
"I-I don't know" Iruma replies not understanding what happened
"Undo" Kalego looks at Iruma in contempt " undo the Summoning now!!!"
Iruma runs towards the lower half of Kalego and tries to pull him out
"YOU FOOL" Kalego shouts in pain "YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PUSH IN THESE CASES!!!"
"Right!" Iruma begins to push the lower half of Kalego
"No!!!" A desperate Kalego calls out "not the legs but the head! "
But it was already too late
'POOF'
In place of Kalego, now a small white creature resembling an owl chick, about the size of a grapefruit, with small black, bat-like wings, black, horn-like tufts, and Kalego's distinctive front hair curl was flying
"Sensei!!!!" Iruma asks in panic "are you okay?what h-happend"
"Iruma-sama- " Asmodeus begins but is intterupted by a frantic Iruma
"Soemthing has happend Azz-kun" Iruma asks Asmodeus in a voice full of panic
"You didn't like the attitude of Kalego-sensei" Asmodeus begins ignoring Iruma completely "You decided to make him pay by making him your familiar"
"NO I DIDNT MEAN TO!!!!!!!!" Iruma tries to explain how all this was an accident, he looks towards Hikaru for help only to see him leaning against a wall and laughing
"ME A FAMILIAR!!!!!!!" Kalego's voice takes a demonic edge,his form starts to become larger and larger, glaring daggers at Iruma"UNACCEPTABLE. YOU BASTARD STOP SCREWING AROUND AND UNDO THE RITUAL OF ELSE AHGHHHHHH"
'Crash'
Unfortunately before Kalego could say more the punishment of trying to harm the master is delivered
(In the Chair-Demon's office)
"This has happened for the first time" Sullivan waves his hand in a no motion "You can't cancel the contract, it is valid for a year, if you try to cancel it, both of you may die"
Haering the contract couldn't be cancelled, Kalego fell sick and questioned all his life choices
(Meanwhile)
"My beloved why won't you allow me to court you" Asmodeus says as he chases Hikaru down the hallway of Bablys
"B-Because I don't like you" A blushing Hikaru replies 'why is Asmodeus so stubborn and why is he so good at flirting!! '
Both brothers didn't know it at the time but this was only the start of their trouble
