Chapter 3 - A teammate!

Elizabeth had stayed up all night, while She could have spent the night in the luxurious room offered by the World Villain Organisation, she sought to be as effective as possible and had spent the whole night maping out the base thanks to the transparent walls. After that she spent the rest of her time doing the daily exercise routine her father had drilled into her. 45 push ups, 45 pull ups, 90 squats, 90 lounges, 2 minutes plank, 3 minutes cobra, twice a day, no cuts or baits, all done one after the other. An odd plan for a girl, but it seemed to have worked out for her at least. But the break of the first ray of sunlight, the people had started waking up, getting back to work. She too, decided to get to work.

Just as she walked out of her room, Mustafa walked right into her, he paused for a second before shoving some papers into her hands, "You are needed on the third block second floor. Now.", "Saying good morning can't kill you, you know.", "Not if I set that to a bombs trigger.", She thought of a reply, but came short, she nodded to his statement and followed his order, heading to the location, of course, she did not know which block was block 3 and which floor was second floor. A co-worker seeing her getting lost, guestured to her to come closer, "What ya lookin' for?", "Oh uh, Third block, second floor.", "Ahhh hahahaha, yah, that's over there." He pointed to west, "Just get a platform and get off after the second click sound you hear", "Thanks."

She ran over to the direction the co-worker had given her, only for her name to be shouted by Mustafa on the opposite side of the building, "ELIZABETH! ITS OVER HERE!", she looked around and spotted Mustafa, but was confused about the situation, it then clicked, a realisation that made her smile, she was in a villain organisation, of course they'd toy with her if she didn't know something. She quickly made her way back to Mustafa, and eventually got to where she was supposed to be. There was another person there, covered in a thick cloud, it was near impossible to know how they looked or what they were, Elizabeth sat down next to the cloud thing, just then, Mustafa threw a large book onto the table, "Here is the list of available heros to mess around with. Choose one, study them, then go out there and make them quit their job. You two will work as a team of sort. You won't help eachother directly when you go out there, but you can aid eachother discreetly. When you are here, you can start a fling for all we care, just don't make it difficult for us to do our part, ok." Elizabeth took the book, "That is fine, but who is . . . It?" The cloud shifted, before it started taking a more detailed form, it was a african man, a handsome one at that, "I am Katlego, you are?", "Oh, Elizabeth. . . Whose idea was it to do this team thing?", "Do you really have to ask?", "just making sure.", "I will leave you two alone, choose your enemy and start prep work once you do." Mustafa left the space, Katlego turned to the book in Elizabeths hands, "Are you not choosing?", "I am."

She flipped through the pages of the book, each page was details on a hero, most of the heroes listed in the book were not even seen on TV yet, they were so unpopular it wouldn't matter if they suddenly quit being heroes. She then closed the book, put her fingers I the middle of the book, then opened it fast, randomly landing on a picture of a blob, ". . . The hell am I looking at?", "That's Goop. You wouldn't be a good match.", "Ew. Don't say it like that.", "Am I wrong?", she looked over Goop's information, his body was naturally conductive and wasn't easy to decompose, "Your right . . . How did you know?", "I studied all the heros.", "All of them?", "Most. But close to all.", "And how did you know I wasn't a good match for him?", "Your hands. People with electric or lighting based drives have a faint burn mark on their palms.", "Oh. I didn't know that.", "Can you turn to page twelve?" She did so, the hero on said page was called 'Iron Stone' a hero who could turn his body into Iron. "Perfect. I can rust him.", She imagined that, a man of iron, rusting, struggling to move as he slowly loses his ability to move, "Ain't that a bit much?", "I'm a villain. Nothing is too much.", "True.", "Who will you choose?", "Uhhhh. . . ." She closed the book again and then opened it to a random page, it ended up on page twenty

-seven, with the hero, 'H2o' on it, his name was his power, he could control water, only water, other liquids did not have the same structure as water, so he couldn't control them. "Perfect. I'll take this.", "not the worst match, you'll live.", "Cold much.", "It's just how I am."

She closed the book, setting it aside, she then looked around for someone, seeing that they were not around, she shrugged, before relaxing, "Ok, so about this aid thing, let's talk about what kind of aid we'll be giving each other.", "Go on.", "I can provide aid with technology and information, providing it of course. Not telling you it, I suck at talking sometimes.", "Understandable. I can provide you with resources and financial aid.", "That's good . . . But I have to know, where does the money come from?", "My robberies.", "Already?", "Since I was eleven.", "Oh. Wow.", "You?", "I've mainly just fought people. I'm here to push a point across, get the world to recognise that they do not know what a villain is.", "I . . . Did not ask about that.", "I didn't know how to respond to your question.", "I see. You are dumb then.", "Hey.", "I'm not wrong am I?", "You are very wrong.", "We'll see." She scoffed standing up, "Onto the research, see you later.", He stood up and held her hand, "Wait", She froze, confused, the scene was straight out of a Romcom, he then spoke, "Can you do my research as well?", "You kidding.", "No. I'm not.", "So your lazy?", "Yes.", "Damn, why didn't you try defending yourself, jeez.", "Too much work.", "Lord help me. No. Do it yourself.", "I'll give you a hundred bucks." Elizabeth held out her hand, "Now-" Suddenly, she had a hundred bucks in her hand, and Katlego was nowhere to be seen. "Why you- . . . That's actually a hundred. Ok."

With that, she walked off, heading to start her research
