"I know a way to be resurrected."
With her eyes red from excessive crying, Nina looked at Maya, there was now a twinkle of hope in those eyes. "Is there really a way to go back to life?"
Scratching her head, Maya replied "Yes, I'm not completely certain I'll be able to take you guys with me but if there's a slight chance, it's best we try it."
"Why are you trying to help us?"
"I don't know…, It's kind of a gut feeling. I just thought I should just go with what I'm feeling."

Reale Academy.
The Academy of every youth's dream, where the children of the most prestigious and powerful people enrolled. A place that nurtured talents that could potentially become great grade existences. Reale Academy has been around for over 500 years, it has nurtured over a hundred high grade students and even once the hero of a generation, a greater grade existence.
But I would say to hell with all that, I'd much rather go to a normal school with normal people. This place is just a nest of arrogant spoiled brats. I guess I don't really have a choice.
My parents put in a lot of effort to get I and my twin sister into this school, so we might as well try our best to graduate.
Currently I'm staring at the huge gates of the massive academy, apparently, we don't get to leave the academy till the holiday at the end of the semester.
"Hale, what are you doing? Hurry up we have to get our grades assessed"
Snapping me back to reality was a feminine voice
Turning my head towards My twin sister Hayley
She didn't wait for me any longer and simply walked to where the other students were gathered for the grade assessment.
Watching her go towards them, I noticed a lot of the male students couldn't take their eyes of her. Apparently, lots of guys, including my friends in middle school seemed to think that Hayley was some sort of beauty goddess, I just couldn't relate with them, I mean sure she wasn't ugly but she didn't strike me as the incomparable beauty they all made her out to be, maybe it's because she's my sister and I've seen all kinds of ugly sides of her personality.
However, all those guys staring her would soon find the both of us extremely repulsive. They were all rich kids from prestigious families or organizations who felt that they were the chosen ones with their backing and bloodline. Hayley and I were from a normal middle-class family on the surface but in reality, our dad is the leader of the black market, the shadow king, with lots of their families and organizations beneath him. Although this was the case, we couldn't just say we're the children of the shadow king after all he's a man that's wanted by the government, even though he's at higher grade qualitative existence he still couldn't possibly fight against the government that had numerous higher grades and even the great grade executives. With our undercover background we are probably going to be grouped in with the kids with absolutely no backing and trashy bloodlines.
But this wasn't the main problem. The main problem is our talent and grade, the kids from rich families had naturally ascended more times than the ones from the supposed trash families as such most of them were already lesser grade - 2 or 3, while the ones from the top organizations or the children of the government executives were already at lower grade - 1. Each grade was further divided into three tiers. I and Hayley were already at lower grade - 3 much higher than any of the other first years but our dad forcefully lowered our grades to minor grade - 3, it'd obviously be a bit suspicious if two prodigies popped out from a middle-class family and that'll bring a lot of problems hence our current situation.
I jogged a bit and met up with Hayley
"What took you so long?"
Mockingly I said " don't you know you should observe the area when you enter unfamiliar environment, you're too lax"
Puffing her chest in a proud manner and waving a hand at me dismissively she said "Oh, please, even though we had our grades lowered these morons are of no threats, my combat experience dwarfs theirs a million times"
Letting out a bitter smile "That's beside the point"
I let out a sigh" Just don't forget our training
"Hale Servas!"
"I guess that's my queue, see you on the other side sis"
Hayley just scoffed at me not bothering to reply
I walk into the building, as soon as I stepped into the building, the space around me distorts, I find myself in a 50 by 50 white room. A 7-foot bulky man stood in the center of the room.
His hoarse voice resounded in my ears "Your task is simple try to land one hit on me, the more difficult it is to block your attacks the higher your combat assessment will be."
I get it now, so all I have to do is land a single hit, that shouldn't be too difficult
"Begin!"
The seconds these words entered my ears, I tensed my calves and propelling my body towards him, in under two seconds I had already covered the 20-meter distance between us. Clenching my left palm into a fist I threw a punch aiming for his face, he didn't seem to be the least bothered by my attack
-Thoom!
Pain instantly engulfed my fist, it felt as if I just punched a diamond wall. Still, I didn't let the pain get to me, I twisted my body and delivered a kick aiming for his liver just as my leg was about to connect, knowing he would just block it anyway I twisted my body again aiming at his feet this time.
I suddenly saw a huge fist enlarging right in front of me
What the hell, he didn't say he would attack
I couldn't dodge so I had to block, putting my arms up, I defended my face
-Thoom!
-Bang!
His fist connected with my forearms and the next second I felt my back crashing into the wall 25 meters behind me.
Kneeling on the floor, coughing profusely, I spat out a bit of blood
"You… didn't say you would attack"
The Bulky Man didn't say a thing he just stood there like I wasn't talking to him
Recollecting myself I finally get back on my feet
The bulky man seeing me back on my feet said
"If you're within range I will attack, you have four minutes and twenty seconds left."
That short exchange only lasted ten seconds, the remaining thirty must have been the time I spent recovering from his attack. I can't let him hit me and at the same time I have to try to hit him.
Sigh
This would be no problem if my physical abilities weren't reduced by over Four thousand percent. I guess I have to work with what I have.
Steeling my resolve, I charge at him again, raining multiple blows at him, I had to continuously attack him at an incredible speed. He blocked every single one of them, he didn't try to attack during that period. I think he saw through my plan. My plan was simple, keep raining blows till he finds an opening to attack, when he attacks, I would give up on defending and land a blow before taking the full brunt of his attack but he saw through it and decided to keep blocking till I exhaust my stamina.
I kept throwing punches and kicks at him as I racked my mind for a solution. Then an idea suddenly came to my mind. I twisted my foot loosening my right sneaker, then I aimed a kick at his stomach, while letting the sneaker fly off directly to his face.
Apparently caught of guard by the two simultaneous attacks, he hesitated for a split second but still managed to block the both of them, but that split second was all I needed, I had already twisted by body into a spinning motion by the time he blocked my sneaker in front of his face my right foot had connected with his face, or so I thought.
-Baam!
What the…! He still managed to block it
I did a back hand spring and got a bit of distance between us, I was just about to think of away forward when a loud sound of applaud and laughter entered my ears
"Hahaha, absolutely exceptional."
I was beyond confused, why was he applauding me when I didn't land a hit
The bulky man handed a card to me saying "Excellent, you managed to almost land a hit even without using your ability. Fascinating, you pass. You're combat grade is B++."
Gesturing to a door behind him that definitely wasn't there before, he said
"You may proceed to the next assessment"
I stepped through the door, looking at the card, I fell into deep thought
Name: Hale Servas
Age: 17
Qualitative existence: ….
Combat grade: B++
Estimated intelligence: ….
Overall Student Evaluation: ….
Is B++ a good grade, from the way he sounded that seems to be the case, and what's this overall student evaluation thing, whatever I'll just try my best and accept the results, I mean how far can I go with basically all my power sealed. I wonder how Hayley will do on the combat test
Outside the building, where the students where the students were gathered, another name was finally called out
"Hayley Servas!"
Sighing Hayley walked towards the entrance of the building; she felt a bit relieved she couldn't stand those morons outside continuously trying to hit on her
Clicking her tongue, she thought
I wonder how well Hale did, I should try my best not to lose to him.
