Chapter 13 - Everything changes

The battle between the two siblings had ended in a draw. Their duel left an impression on everyone had witnessed it thst day.

Later that day, the Flag Bearer ceremony had ended and the cadets where celebrating their last day in the land of knighthood. All legitimate members of the Royal families were all in the Lionheart ball room having their farewell party...all excluding Raven and Ava who were still exhausted from their duel.

A few moments later

Six mysterious figures hovered in the clouds above the Lionheart Arch-Dukedom, they began to chant an ancient incantation, their voices weaving together in perfect harmony. The air around them seemed to vibrate with dark energy, and a giant magic circle materialized beneath their feet, pulsing with an otherworldly power.

With a final flourish of their hands, the figures unleashed a barrage of massive fireballs from the magic circle, each one hurtling towards the unsuspecting duchy below. The fireballs blazed with an intense, fiery glow, leaving trails of smoke and flames in their wake. As the fireballs descended upon the duchy, the fate of Raven, Ava, and the entire realm hung in the balance.

The fireballs rained down on the Lionheart Arch-Dukedom, striking buildings and causing widespread destruction. Panic set in as the inhabitants scrambled to respond to the sudden attack. The duchy's defenses were caught off guard, and it seemed that the mysterious figures had chosen their moment carefully.

In the infirmary, Raven and Ava remained unconscious, unaware of the chaos unfolding above them. The medical staff and guards rushed to respond to the attack, but they were vastly outnumbered by the sheer scale of the destruction.

As the fireballs continued to fall, the duchy's defenses began to mobilize. Archers and mages rushed to the scene, preparing to counterattack against the mysterious figures in the clouds. The Lionheart soldiers donned their armor, ready to defend their home against the unknown threat.

Meanwhile, the six figures in the clouds watched the destruction they had unleashed with cold calculation. They seemed to be waiting for something, perhaps a specific outcome or a reaction from the duchy's defenders.

The fate of the Lionheart Arch-Dukedom hung in the balance, and it seemed that the outcome would depend on the bravery and cunning of its defenders. Would they be able to withstand the attack and counterattack against the mysterious figures, or would the duchy fall to the unknown threat? The battle had only just begun, and the outcome was far from certain. The leaders of the five great families rushed into action, each one determined to assess the situation and defend their interests. The air was thick with tension as they converged on the scene, their faces set with determination.

Duke Lionheart, led the charge, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of the enemy. "Where is the fire coming from?" he bellowed to his soldiers. "Find out and report back to me immediately!"

Meanwhile, Duchess Rhinoaxe rallied her family's defenses, her voice ringing out across the duchy. "Shield wall, form up!" she cried. "We need to protect the people and their homes."

Duke Elephantaeus assessed the situation calmly, his eyes narrowing as he studied the trajectory of the fireballs. "Our mages need to pinpoint the source of the attack," he said to his advisors. "We can't counterattack until we know where to aim."

Duke Buffalone charged into the fray, his battle cry echoing through the streets. "Let's show them the power of the Buffalones!" he roared. "We'll drive them back and protect our duchy!"

And Duches Leopardrien slipped through the shadows, her eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity. "I'll find out where those fireballs are coming from," she whispered to her most trusted operatives. "We'll take out the enemy before they even know what's hit them."

One of the six figures in the air, a tall, lean man with a sinister grin, smiled as he sensed the power of the leaders of each respective family. "Now, fun begins," he whispered to himself, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

With a wave of his hand, the six figures began to chant in unison, their voices growing louder and more intense as they cast a massive summoning spell. The air around them seemed to distort and ripple, as if reality itself was bending to accommodate their dark magic.

As the spell reached its climax, a huge gate materialized in the air, adorned with the grotesque face of a troll. The gate creaked open, its massive stone doors grinding against each other as a dark, swirling miasma began to leak out. The miasma spread, a noxious cloud of darkness that seemed to corrupt the very air itself. And then, the demons began to flood out of the gate, a horde of twisted, nightmarish creatures that seemed to be born from the very darkness itself.

The leaders of the five great families gazed up in horror as the demons poured out of the gate, their numbers seemingly endless. "By the gods," Duke Lionheart breathed. "What'sgoing on here!!!?"

The demons poured out of the gate, a seemingly endless horde of twisted creatures that defied the imagination. Monitors, giant lizard-like creatures with razor-sharp claws, charged forward with reckless abandon, their jaws wide open as they snapped at the defenders. Nagas, serpentine beings with human torsos, slithered through the streets, their venomous fangs bared as they struck at anyone who dared to stand in their way.

Dark elves, twisted and corrupted versions of their elven cousins, darted through the shadows, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent as they struck from the darkness. Ghouls, undead creatures with a hunger for flesh, shambled forward, their eyes fixed on the living as they clawed and bit at anyone who stood in their way.

And then, there were the Ogres, massive, lumbering creatures with skin like thick, rough leather and strength that could crush a man with a single blow. They charged forward, their roars thundering through the streets as they smashed aside anything that dared to stand in their way.

The defenders of the Lionheart Arch-Dukedom were thrown into chaos as the demons attacked from all sides. The streets were filled with the sounds of screams, clashing steel, and the thunder of demon roars. The leaders of the five great families rallied their troops, fighting to hold back the tide of demons and protect their people.

"Hold the line!" Duke Lionheart bellowed, his sword flashing in the dim light as he struck down a Monitor. "We can't let them break through!"

But it was clear that the defenders were vastly outnumbered, and the demons seemed to be endless. The gate continued to spew forth its dark horrors, and the battle raged on with no end in sight.

"Man, this sure looks like it's going to be bothersome." Elliot Said. "Are you guys up for a little challenge?" He Saud looking at Viggo and tge rest.

Viggo, who couldnt contain himself started smiling. "Let me guess, it involves killing those demons?"

"What should be the prize?" Aurora asked

"Man, you Elephantaeus are always thinking about money, aren't you?" Cassius said. "But you got a point there." She added

"We'll figure that out once we're dine here!" Lila said

"Alright. I guess we all agreed then...right?" Elliot asked

The group nodded in unison as they started walking towards the gate. The knights around all stopped even if it was for a moment to watch the legendry group that took down "The Mad lion" together once again as they stood tall, their determination and strength evident as they faced the horde of demons. Elliot Lionheart, his greatsword gleaming in the dim light, charged forward with a fierce battle cry. "For the Lionheart family!" he bellowed, his sword slicing through the demons with deadly precision.

Cassius Rhinoaxe, her Axe and shield flashing in the light, fought with a fluid elegance, her movements swift and deadly. She carved a path through the demons, her sword slicing through their ranks with ease.

Aurora Elephantaeus, her eyes blazing with magical energy, unleashed a blast of fire that incinerated a wave of demons. Her magic was precise and controlled, taking down demons with pinpoint accuracy.

Viggo Buffalone, his fists roaring as he threw them in wide arcs, charged forward with a fierce battle cry. "For the Buffalone family!" he bellowed, his fists smashing deep into the demon horde.

Lila Leopardrien, her jian jie swords flashing in the light, danced through the demons with deadly precision. Her swords sliced through the demons, the chains on the handles rattling as she used them to snag and disarm her enemies.

As the battle raged on, the five leaders began to take down demons with alarming ease. They moved in perfect sync, their movements choreographed by years of battle experience. The knights fighting beside them watched in awe as the leaders took down 1000 demons each, their strength and skill seemingly unmatched.

As the demons fell, the knights fighting beside the leaders couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. These five leaders were truly the strongest humans around, their strength and skill unmatched in the land. The battle raged on, but it was clear that the tide had turned in favor of the defenders. The demons were no match for the combined might of the five great families.
