We finished our conversation and collected Lillian before heading deeper into Ajuka's lab so he could give us a more thorough checkup than his scan from earlier and see if he could figure out a solution to Lillian's problem.
Ajuka led the way whilst I followed a step behind, whilst Serafall trailed behind trying to convert Lillian into the cult of Miracle Levia-tan✮.
I fell into thought about our previous conversation.
Once Serafall had calmed down from the perceived insult from Ajuka, she explained that while I will eventually get engaged to another devil in order to revive the Zagan pillar, it would not be until my public reveal.
Even then, Serafall explained that, since she would be adopting me, she could use her position as Satan Leviathan to block most of the proposals, and she definitely wouldn't consider any from the Great King faction. My unique circumstances were too important to allow anyone from their faction into my inner circle.
I agreed with her, as I prefer the New Satan faction's progressive ideals over the Great King faction's desire to conserve their political power by stagnating any changes to the Underworld. I didn't even consider the Old Satan faction.
Serafall's explanation also reaffirmed that, by accepting her adopting me, I was giving away some of my control to her such as marriage arrangements.
I was turning myself into a political tool.
Although Serafall wouldn't use me as a political tool, I would still be subjected to the Underworld's expectations of me. Additionally, my actions would reflect on Serafall and, to a lesser extent, the Sitri house.
She did reassure me that I would have a few years of peace as devils debut around the age of eight, usually at a big party to which all the pillar houses are invited.
I then asked them if they were sure they wanted to stop my explanation of Highschool DxD. Although Serafall had been childishly demanding for storytime that was a part of her Magical Girl persona.
She explained that there was no point in continuing.
"There's no point Kay-chan we might as well wait. Whilst I'm excited to learn it isn't a definitive future and it won't happen for a decade or so anyway, waiting a few days to set a meeting with Zechs-chan and Falb-chan won't matter and you won't have to say everything twice."
I had asked why they couldn't just relay the information I told them only to be admonished by Ajuka stating that as soon as I had made contact with Serafall, I had become a person of extreme importance to the devils due to my background and knowledge thus I should be introduced to the others Satans as soon as possible.
"I have to show off to Zechs-chan and Falb-chan my new son!"
Serafall had also described her plans to boast about me to her friends and family, it was decided that Lillian and I would stay at her place for a few days before we would meet with the other Satans. After that meeting she planned to take us to the Sitri estate as, due to her duties as Leviathan, she would be too busy to take care of us most of the time.
She explained that by staying at the Sitri estate, her parents would be able to teach me what I would need to know about the devil faction and raise Lillian properly considering she was truly a child unlike me despite her soul's age.
We decided to move on and collect Lillian after we finished discussing the plan for the next few days.
Lillian had spent the entire time of our conversation learning about the basics of the underworld courtesy of the lady who had taken her from the room earlier.
Once she joined us Ajuka led us further into the facility whilst explaining his plan on the way.
Firstly he wanted to do a deep scan of our DNA, soul, and magic reserves to make completely sure that we were stable. He didn't mention it but I suspected he also wanted to try and analyze the contract I was under.
He also mentioned being especially interested in Raphaels' existence due to it being based on his clan trait. Whilst we walked I explained the skills from 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime'.
How they were expressions of a person's abilities granted by the will of the world due to personal growth and can be inscribed into the person in various locations based on their strength: material body, spiritual body, astral body, soul, or heart core.
Each skill allowed the expression of an ability from simple things such as increased strength to manipulation of fundamental physical/magical laws.
When I said that my skill was called Raphael, Lord of Wisdom and it was of the virtue skill set I got a weird look from Serafall and an eyebrow raise from Ajuka.
They were both intrigued by the fact that a lot of the religions in my world, both dead and alive, mirrored the different pantheons of this world and that lots of stories used these mythologies as a basis for characters, powers or even the world setting.
Serafall focused more on the content of the stories and demanded that I tell them to her later whilst Ajuka was more focused on the reason the mythologies existed in my world.
He theorized that, if my world had historical religions based on the various pantheons, perhaps my world had been connected to this one in some way a long time before the meteorite that introduced supernatural powers.

"Kay-chan?"
I focused back on the real world at Serafalls call and realized we had now arrived at what looked like an MRI room. Mostly empty with a bed in the center that could be inserted into a large cylindrical machine.
"Cain you go first, just lie on the bed. Make sure to get Raphael to disable its passive defenses, based on your explanation of it they will interfere with the scan."
I did just as he asked whilst climbing onto the bed, although Raphael did express its displeasure stating, 'It is recommended not to disable Raphael's passive defense.'
Usually, I would follow Raphael's advice but I wanted to use this chance to make sure I was completely fine despite my impossible biology. Whilst Ajuka may not be my friend he could be considered an ally and so long as I am interesting to him he won't harm me.
Not that Serafall would let him.
She had seemingly already accepted me as her son and started displaying her affection in her unique way.
She wasn't nearly as clingy as she appeared in Highschool DxD but that was likely due to not knowing me long enough and Sona pushing her away.
It would probably be better for my future to just accept her 'Magical Girl affection' so as to avoid Sona's fate.
Ajuka's scan took a couple of minutes during which he was constantly staring at a screen to the side of the room muttering to himself, he continued even after the scan was done before Serafall broke him out of his thoughts.
Lillian took my place at Ajuka's urging after a bit of reassurance from me.
A hospital-looking room with a big machine in it would be scary for any child after all.
Her scan was quickly complete after which she immediately jumped off the bed and raced over to me and Serafall.
Ajuka was now fully invested in analysing whatever he was seeing in his data so Serafall Lillian and I just began a conversation in which Serafall told us tales from her past.
She did change the stories to make it Magical Girl-ey though.

"Firstly, there is no instability in your DNA, and it's as you described it to me earlier." Ajuka began.
"Whilst Lillian does have the DNA of a god she currently has no divinity although that might change if she could activate the DNA again in the future."
"Her human DNA is a closer match to those from the hero clans than humans but there's no problem with it, the natural strength it provides will be overshadowed by the God and angel DNA. It essentially acts as a binding agent due to its adaptability, that's why she had no problem even if her DNA wasn't optimized by Raphael like Cain."
"Interestingly she has no connection to the heavenly system unlike others with angelic heritage, I believe this to be caused by her God DNA. So, she could indulge in sin without her falling. I will need to reassess her when she gains her wings though as that's when her angel side will be fully activated and a connection may be formed."
"The good thing is her body will accept an Evil Piece since her god DNA has no divinity and her incomplete soul will not be able to resist it despite it having some divine qualities."
"She also has the angel's holy power and a reserve for mana meaning she should also be able to use human spells. Cain, on the other hand, has only one demonic power reserve similar to a demon's but your energy also produces dragon aura so you should expect trouble to be drawn to you but in exchange, you will become more powerful when singlemindedly pursuing a goal."
"The dragon DNA is from Albion the Heavenly Dragon and a Dragon King whose DNA I have never analyzed before. They're significant enough that you should be able to assume a dragon form through training in the future like half-dragons especially if you can awaken the Bune clan trait."
"What kind of dragons are those?" Lillian interrupted Ajuka's explanation.
"They describe different ranks of strength for dragons. Dragon Kings are about as strong as Serafall and typically the peak a dragon can reach in its life. Heavenly Dragons are those that have broken the limit of their species, their strength being far greater than the Dragon Kings but still far from the Dragon Gods."
"They could be considered the demi-gods of the dragon race and would rank near the top in the world in terms of strength." Ajuka waited for Lillian to finish her contemplation before returning to his analysis of me.
"Your demon and devil bloodlines have been assimilated and purified by the ancient demon blood you have meaning you should theoretically be able to use all your clan traits eventually."
"Though Serafall, you didn't mention he also has Lucifer DNA." He glared at the guilty Magical Girl.
"Teehee?" She attempted pacification.
"I don't have any care for the Lucifer throne though, nobody else needs to know."
"No secret is safe forever and if this gets exposed it could cause all sorts of problems. Whilst we are going to introduce you as a Sitri-Zagan who Serafall found and adopted due to your Sitri traits mutation, this will cause people to question who your parents are."
"The Sitri blood can be explained as coming from one of the Sitri branch clans but the Zagan side is more difficult but we can get away with saying it's from someone who fled from one of the wars and was hiding in the human world."
"If you do eventually take a dragon form we could even say that your parent from the Zagan clan was a descendant from a marriage with the Bune clan as you do have their DNA. A devil with three clan traits has never been seen before but technically isn't impossible and there have been devils with double clan traits."
"The Lucifer bloodline is different. There are no branch clans, the only known members of the clan are Rizevim and his son. So if your Lucifer bloodline gets exposed people will assume you're related to him. Some will want you to take the Lucifer throne, some will want to use you as a political weapon and others will want to eliminate you at all costs."
"Do you understand the problem? A devil with three clan traits is a miracle, if it came out you were a Lucifer aswell it would throw the underworld into chaos, even more than just someone having lucifer blood, regardless of your intentions. So you must make sure you never reveal that part of your lineage."
"I understand."
I really didn't want to become the center of a political storm so I was happy to accept Ajuka's order.
I had already set some goals for this life and a becoming a political focus of the underworld would hamper that immensely.
My first goal was to determine if all 7 of us from my past life had reincarnated as their characters, and during the process determine if this world is composed of just the three stories discovered so far; the five stories we combined back in my past life; or even more.
Secondly, I want to explore this world. Whilst I know the stories I want to learn more about the details and explore the 'lore' that wasn't included in the stories. I also want to learn the interesting ways the worlds interact with each other like the Evil Pieces inspiration being from the Demon King Army spell 'Gyze'.
During my exploration of the world, I want to take part in the plot. Not only is it tradition for reincarnators to involve themselves in the plot (sauce: fanfiction); the reason we read stories and played games based on them was to imagine ourselves as a part of them.
Now that I had that chance to take part in a story in a fancy world, why wouldn't I?
Naturally, this world is dangerous, even more so than Highschool DxD, with beings of great power and influence. I will have to grow strong enough to travel freely to avoid being killed or captured if I encounter other powerful beings.
Eventually, if I get strong enough, I could even try and explore the other worlds within the Dimensional Gap.
"Cain you should be especially careful about your pride and greed, whilst your combination of genes makes you less susceptible to sin overall when compared to devils, your dragon DNA focuses all your sin towards pride and greed. So ultimately you might end up more prideful and greedy than a typical devil."
"Your soul should help with that since it's entirely human. Although human souls are generally less powerful than supernatural species, yours is slightly more powerful than a young dragon. This means your soul should be strong enough to contend with your body's instincts and its balanced nature will help offset your sin."
I nodded grateful for his explanation.
Although Raphael had told me much the same about myself, it didn't have the knowledge to explain the consequences of my mixed DNA.
Whilst we stole lots of knowledge from Rizevim, it was mostly magic research or experimental results. People dont tend to store or write down what they consider common knowledge as people typically learn that growing up.
"Now that's done, let me Analyze Raphael please." Ajuka looked impatient now and I'm sure his mad-scientist side is demanding he research something as exotic as a magic soul-based artificial intelligence from another world.
