Chapter 74 - Chapter 26: Testing the Effect

Horn was completely unaware of what was happening outside. He just looked at the silver-white ring in front of him in surprise.

When he first finished making it, he didn't have any special feelings, just a bit of joy. But suddenly, he developed a strong affection for this ring.

Maybe it was because this ring was his first work that made him naturally close to it.

After fiddling with it for a while and finding no problems, Horn rushed upstairs with a disheveled head.

Upstairs, the wild witches were gathered together. Horn had locked himself in the basement for the past ten days. Occasionally, when he came out, he went straight to the trading area. Even his meals were sent to him by Annie.

Without Horn's guidance, everyone didn't slack off in their cultivation. No one was lazy. Going from being a wild witch with no status to a first-ring wild witch would have made them laugh out loud in their dreams in the past.

But now they had a higher goal: to become mages like Horn and Enoch!

No one wanted to experience again the feeling of being a weakling at the mercy of others and living in constant fear.

Even Sharon, who was in her fifties now, didn't want to be left behind!

Only by becoming stronger could they live up to Horn's kindness to them.

They were gathered now because Annie had made a breakthrough. She could successfully probe her spiritual power into her Sea of Consciousness!

According to Horn's standard, Annie could now be considered a mage!

However, her Sea of Consciousness seemed a bit different from others. With Enoch's guidance, she successfully found her magic circle.

To her shock, her magic circle was constantly changing!

This should be the reason why she always summoned different summoned beasts, because her magic circle was not fixed at all!

Annie didn't want to disturb Horn while he was making magic items, so she gathered everyone to brainstorm and find a solution.

Although she could always summon new things, it was not very stable. Such magic could easily cause big trouble at any time.

However, the wild witches didn't have any good ideas. Even Enoch didn't know what to do. If Annie's magic circle was normal, with his experience, he would have been able to teach her.

But Enoch was at a loss when it came to a constantly changing magic circle. He had never seen such a thing before.

Just when everyone was at a loss and discussing whether to go to Horn, the door was pushed open with a loud laugh!

Horn, with messy hair and stains all over his clothes, appeared in front of everyone.

He held the ring and showed his research result to the wild witches.

Baring his snow-white teeth, he smiled like a crazy child.

The wild witches wouldn't make fun of him for this. Instead, they were sincerely in awe of his enthusiasm for making magic items whole - heartedly.

Enoch came to Horn's side and marveled at the silver - white ring. Could this strangely - shaped thing with no magical fluctuations really release magic?

"Is this the magic item you were making?"

Horn nodded proudly. Making this thing really gave him a great sense of accomplishment. He felt he had to show it off to his friends to make up for all the brain cells he had sacrificed these days.

Seeing him nod, the wild witches immediately surrounded him.

Although they didn't understand what a magic item was at all, they knew the value of the holy artifacts of the church.

"What's the effect of this ring? What kind of magic can it use? Can everyone use it?"

Different from the wild witches who were just marveling at the novelty, Ian asked quite practical questions.

"Well... I engraved a fireball spell magic circle on this ring, but I haven't tried other things yet. It should be able to release magic normally."

Horn smiled awkwardly. It seemed a bit inappropriate to show off without figuring things out.

"Then let's go outside and find a place to test it. It'll also broaden our horizons. This kind of test must be done."

Ian said with a gentle smile.

"Great! Great!" Daniel clapped his hands. He was the youngest among them and was very interested in new things.

The black dog Terry excitedly said he wanted to go and have a look too. This ring might be a very powerful weapon. As a battle - junkie, he had no resistance to things that could improve his strength.

With their encouragement, all the wild witches decided to go out together to see what this magic - item ring could do.

An hour later, the wild witches appeared in a forest outside the city of Maman.

There were too many people here. It was really difficult to find a place where they wouldn't be discovered at all.

Moreover, Horn and the others found an abandoned yard. This yard used to be the residence of a first - level magical beast that liked to live in dark places. It was killed by Horn and the others on their way by and they dug out its magic crystal.

Horn found a tree of a suitable thickness and started testing the power of this magic ring.

He put on the ring, input magical power into it, and then silently recited the spell.

A fist - sized fireball condensed at the front of the ring. With a thought, the fireball flew out with a whoosh and hit the tree.

The fire exploded, leaving a bowl - sized pit in the tree, and then the tree burned violently.

Enoch recited a spell, and a stream of water appeared out of thin air to extinguish the fire. A fire would cause errors in judging the power, and it was also not good to start a fire.

He had now engraved the magic circles of the water flow spell and the water mist spell in his Sea of Consciousness. He was at least a qualified second - ring mage.

Horn then stretched out his index finger and cast a fireball spell at another tree of similar thickness nearby.

The genuine second - ring spell was a bit more powerful than the second - ring magic released by the ring, but the consumption of magical power was almost the same.

However, this ring had an advantage. As long as one's magical power met the minimum standard, they could launch the spell. So this ring was useless to Horn, but for other wild witches, it was definitely a very powerful item!

This was equivalent to allowing other wild witches to learn a new magic out of thin air!

Horn got a bit excited just thinking about it. If he engraved other spells on the ring, would it mean he could also use other spells?

For example, the earth - based magic that he had never been able to master?

Horn was full of all kinds of ideas and couldn't wait to go to the basement to make a few more rings right away.

The wild witches were all amazed at the power of this new ring. They took turns to grab the ring and bomb the poor trees nearby.

Although the magical power consumed by the fireballs made them a bit exhausted, the feeling of releasing fireballs was much more enjoyable than other magics!

Even Annie, Shirley, and Mrs. Sharon were having a great time!

Fireballs were the romance of mages!
