Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Rewrite Reality, Rewrite Love

Kael Adrienne could barely breathe.

The air in this twisted world felt like velvet soaked in perfume and poison—a world where only the Kissless One existed and the others had been... paused. Caged. Forgotten. Rewritten.

But one thing broke through.

A single phrase scratched into the mirror-reality, like a nail carving through glass:

"He is not yours. He is not ANYONE'S."

His eyes widened.

That handwriting—precise, neurotic, desperate—belonged to only one girl.

Mireille.

The Pen That Fights Back

Suddenly, the mirror shattered. Not from an explosion. But from a quill—black and smoking, piercing through reality like a sword.

From the fracture stepped Mireille, her glasses cracked, ink-stained hands trembling, breathing hard like she'd run through the void itself.

"Found you," she whispered.

Kael's lips parted. "Mireille... how—"

"You made me your chronicler," she snapped. "I write your story. Not her. Not that thing."

From behind Kael, the Kissless One rose slowly, her eyes burning with a glitchy violet fire.

"You came here... for him?" she said, her voice melting between girl and god.

"No," Mireille said, summoning a tome with glowing words. "I came here to steal him back."

The Rewrite Begins

The Kissless One hissed and raised her hand—but Mireille wrote faster.

The world bent.

A whip-crack of code.

Kael felt something uncoil in his chest—as if the collar of her control had finally loosened.

"Wait," he gasped. "You can change reality?"

Mireille didn't look at him. Her eyes were locked on the Kissless One.

"She's not a girl. She's a glitch. A fantasy Kael once wrote in a notebook and never kissed. Now she wants to devour every real obsession that came after."

The Kissless One snarled, her form twisting—tentacles of data slithering from her dress, as if reality itself was bending to her hunger.

Obsessions Don't Like Being Rewritten

The other obsessions began to awaken.

Aria fell from a black void above, landing on her feet like a cat, blade in hand.

Eva burst from a mirror, dual pistols shimmering with spellfire.

Clara crawled from under the bed, eyes glowing and unblinking.

Ravynne emerged from a coffin-shaped mirror, blood-dripping roses in her hair.

And finally—

Luna Bellamy, her voice echoing as she landed in a swirl of moonlight.

"Kael is mine. Get in line, b*tch."

The Kissless One screamed.

"You're all parasites! You kissed him, yes—but he created me first!"

Kael's Breakdown (Again)

Kael fell to his knees.

"I didn't ask for any of this."

Too late.

Eva kissed his cheek. "Too bad. We asked for you."

Aria pressed her sword to his chest. "If you try to leave, I'll cut your legs off."

Ravynne smiled darkly. "Let's see if your soul can handle seven obsessions."

Kael groaned. "Seven…?"

A new System Notification chimed.

The Love That Shouldn't Exist

The Kissless One began to collapse.

But not in defeat.

In fusion.

Her body cracked like glass, revealing a pulsing light.

She looked up at Kael—soft, almost… mournful.

"You used to whisper my name in the dark. Remember?"

Kael hesitated.

A flicker. A bedroom. A notebook under his pillow. A scribbled name he never shared with anyone.

His first crush.

A fantasy that never came true.

A secret he forgot… and she never did.

"I waited," she said. "I loved you first."

Then she screamed, her form exploding into obsidian feathers that rained across the entire dreamworld.
