Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – Exo Tau Trouble

Rayne: "What the fuck?! Where is my bike?!"

Kael: "No, man. No, no—not now. We gotta run! These police drones are gonna catch us!"

Rayne sat at the back of Kael's bike, thinking about who could've stolen his.

Rayne: "100% sure it's those Exo scum. They probably haven't seen a bike like mine in their lives. It was expensive as hell, so they stole it."

Kael: "Told you we shouldn't be here."

Rayne: "Sorry, man... I just thought we'd have some fun."

Kael: "Fuck it. What's the plan then? Tell the police? File a report?"

Rayne (sarcastic): "And what will we tell them? 'Excuse me, officer, I lost my bike... oh yeah, it had drugs and alcohol in it, and we were illegally inside Exo Tau.' Real smooth. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to help."

Kael: "They don't know it was ours. We'll tell them it was stolen from our city and taken there."

Rayne: "What about Dash's video? And our location tracking?"

Kael: "They won't check that deep. You're too high, man. We just lost a bike. Forget it, dawg. I'll buy you a new one. What's the point of having rich parents if we don't use their money?"

Rayne: "It's not about the money. It's the memories with her. I could buy ten bikes better than that... but..."

Kael: "Her? Don't tell me—you treated your bike like a girlfriend?"

Rayne: "Yeah. She had a name."

Kael (laughing): "No way! Every rider treats their bike like a girl, huh?"

Rayne: "Exactly."

Kael: "Well, now you got none. First Rose, and now your bike. Ha!"

Rayne went quiet. The joke hit a bit too hard.

Kael (realizing): "Hey bro, I was just joking. Don't be so serious."

He playfully tapped Rayne's lap—just trying to lighten the mood, but in a way that felt off.

Rayne (laughing but brushing his hand away): "Fuck off, motherfucker."

Kael: "Alright, alright. What's the plan then?"

Rayne: "We'll get some bodyguards and hit those scum."

Kael: "I don't think it's a good idea and where are we gonna find bodyguards? What about our personal home guards?"

Rayne: "No way. They'll definitely inform our parents even if we bribe them."

Kael: "Then?"

Rayne (calmly): "Just leave it to me."

------

Later — At a Bar in Exo Tau

Kael: "Buddy, weren't we supposed to find bodyguards? Why are we at a bar? Did the plan change?"

Rayne: "Nahh!! . I'm here for more than regular bodyguards. I'm hiring bounty hunters."

Kael: "Hey, I don't think it's a good plan , Working with bounty hunters is a huge crime."

Rayne: "Who's gonna know? Just cover your face. This bar's full of criminals and bounty hunters."

Kael: "How do you know that?"

Rayne: "We live in the 35th century, man. Just use your phone—it tells you everything."

Rayne spotted four tall, muscular men at a corner table. He approached them confidently.

Rayne: "Hey. What do you guys do for money?"

Unknown Man: "Not your business"

Rayne: "What if I make it your business?"

The man looked Rayne up and down, then laughed.

Unknown Man: "A kid's gonna give me work? Listen, we don't escort girls or do crap like that. We kill people."

Rayne pulled out $7,000 in hard cash. The man's face changed. He grabbed Rayne by the arm and pulled him aside.

Man (quietly): "What's the deal?"

Rayne: "That's half. You get the other half after the job. $10,000 in total."

Man: "Nah, more "

Rayne (cutting him off): "If you don't want it, walk away."

Man: "...Fine.

Rayne told him someone stole their bike—and along with it, a huge stash of drugs. They wanted it back.

The man checked the location and froze. It was old abandoned mining factory

Man (tense): "Fifteen thousand. Take it or leave it."

Rayne: "Why the change?"

Man: "The leader of that area... he's strong. I've heard stories and rumours he was dra's (dra'vahi) ex military general. No one's ever landed a punch on him, ."

Rayne: "So you're scared?"

Man: "I'm not. But this is risky If you don't pay that much then get out"

Rayne (interrupting): "Shut up. It's nothing for me. My shoes cost more than this."

------

At the Mining Factory Hideout

As soon as they arrived, gunfire broke out. The hunters opened fire in return. One of their own went down, but they managed to take out three enemies hiding behind cargo containers.

Gunfire fill the air like thundercracks. Sparks flew from metal crates. One bounty hunter tackled an enemy behind cover, slamming him into the steel wall. Rayne ducked, barely avoiding a stray bullet that shattered a pipe above. Steam hissed as Kael grabbed a discarded pistol and fired blindly, covering the mercs. Then he droped the gun goes towards the rayne

Just when they thought they had control, two shadowy figures ambushed Rayne and Kael. They fought back but were taken down in minutes.

As the mercenaries retreated, their leader shouted:

Man: "I'll be back—for my money and my revenge!"

The two figures dragged Rayne and Kael away.

Captured

Guard 1: "Sir, only these two jokers were left."

Guard 2: "Tie them up. We'll deal with them later."

---

Some Time Later

Rayne stirred and groaned.

Rayne: "Kael… Kael! Wake up!"

Kael: "Huh… Rayne? You good?"

Rayne: "Yeah. You?"

Kael: "My jaw… my stomach… they beat the hell out of us."

A shadow loomed over them.

???: "So, they're alive?"

???: "Of course, idiot. I didn't hit them that hard."

???: (to Kael): "Hey buddy, you okay?"

Kael: "You kicked me in the face. What do you think?"

???: (laughing): "Sorry! Thought you tried to shoot us."

Kael: "Are you blind? We didn't even have guns."

???: "Oops you are wrong you did have a gun and you fires in every single direction like a child . Anyway, name's Tichala. And he's James —"

James (interrupting): "Don't tell them, dumbass! You'll get us in trouble!"

Tichala: "Come on, bro. It's just a name. Besides, who says it's real? To kael Hey, it is my real name, though."

Rayne and Kael start yelling, asking for help.

James (annoyed): "Shut them up."

He covered their mouths roughly.

Tichala: "So… should we take them to him?"

James: "Of course."

They dragged them into a dark, blood-splattered room. A tiny bathroom sat beside it, barely clean.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the bathroom. A man walked out, washing his hands—hands stained dark red.

Rayne (thinking): That's… blood.

Kael (thinking): We're fucked.

The man turned around—and Kael's eyes widened in fear.

------

Dragged into the shadows of EXO-Tau, Kael and Rayne are face-to-face with a man whose presence speaks louder than any threat.

Blood on his hands. Silence in his eyes.

They don't know who he is—

But he definitely knows they're not just two lost rich kids.

In the heart of the ruins, answers come with a price.
