Uchiha Madara scoffed.
"Fine then. Your Senju clan suffered even more than my Uchiha. I feel a little better now."
Hashirama Senju blinked in surprise.
"Huh? That actually makes sense..."
Tobirama Senju fumed.
"Sense or not, both our clans are extinct now? We built Konoha to protect the Senju and Uchiha, and to shelter all other shinobi families. And now you're telling me every other clan still exists while the Senju are gone?"
Kakashi Hatake quietly added.
"...The Hatake line ends with me too."
Mito Uzumaki sighed.
"My clan needs no comment. There were never many of us to begin with."
Kushina Uzumaki nodded.
"My son is the only Uzumaki left, isn't he?"
Might Guy cleared his throat.
"Well, my family was small too. I'm the last one..."
Tobirama stared at them all, his voice rising.
"So the Senju, Uzumaki, Uchiha, Hatake, and Guy clans are all gone? Everyone who can fight is dead?"
Hyūga Hiashi frowned.
"Second Hokage, that's a rude way to put it. The Hyūga still have strength."
Tobirama nodded slowly.
"Right, the Hyūga are still strong. But look around you. The Nara clan relies on shadow binding and intellect that doesn't even compare to mine. The Akimichi are only good for expanding and eating food pills. The Yamanaka clan just reads minds. The Aburame use bugs. The Inuzuka rely on tracking dogs. The Sarutobi are known only for Fire Release and need a monkey for backup. The Shimura clan hides in the shadows and people think Danzo is their only member. So tell me, who else can actually fight?"
He paused, chest heaving from anger.
The idea that every truly combative clan had died out left a bitter taste in his mouth. A small part of him was almost relieved that the Uchiha perished too. At least the Senju didn't die out alone. But he knew the thought was cruel.
Before Kakashi rose to fame, it had been Hiruzen Sarutobi and Itachi Uchiha who kept the other villages from daring to invade. Even Mei Terumi had once infiltrated Konoha but retreated the moment she sensed Itachi nearby.
If not for Kakashi's flashy Sharingan and clever tactics, the Third Hokage's era wouldn't have been respected for long.
Tobirama gritted his teeth.
"Only the Hyūga and Akimichi have any real power left. The Sarutobi are half-valid at best. Shimura clan? A dead name. Everyone else is support. Nara gives plans, Akimichi provides snacks. None of them ever produced an Anbu-level genius. None are Uchiha-level talents."
At that moment, Danzo finally spoke.
"That's not my fault. Sarutobi sealed away all the forbidden jutsu after the Fourth Hokage died. Ever since, aside from that Nine-Tails brat, no one has even seen those techniques!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen's face turned pale.
Danzo had just thrown him under the bus.
Tobirama turned sharply.
"Sarutobi, is this true?"
Hiruzen stammered.
"Master, you said we had to lock the scrolls away for safety..."
Tobirama glanced around, only to realize Sarutobi had disappeared.
"You think I invented all those forbidden jutsu just to bury them in a scroll? If no one's going to use them, I might as well have spent my life napping!"
Sarutobi reappeared moments later, flustered.
"I... Danzo shares responsibility for those decisions."
Danzo snapped.
"What do you mean we're both to blame?"
Fourth Raikage Darui laughed.
"You two are something else. Guarding treasure but never using it. Brilliant strategy, Konoha."
Ōnoki shook his head.
"If our village had access to that kind of legacy, we would've unified the world centuries ago."
Mei Terumi crossed her arms.
"Hokage, just hand over the forbidden techniques. Let it be four villages, four Kage. We don't even need Konoha anymore."
Tobirama looked like he might lose his mind.
"Are there really no worthy successors left?"
He turned slowly to Namikaze Minato.
"If only you hadn't died so early... look at what Konoha has become."
Minato rubbed the back of his head.
"I didn't want to die young either. I wanted to raise my son properly."
Tobirama stared at him with sympathy. He had never been a father himself, but he had loved his brother deeply. He understood loss.
Darui typed in the chat.
"Sarutobi, Danzo, where are you? Tell us how you doomed your own village. I'd like to avoid making your mistakes."
Ōnoki added.
"Yes, do share. We could learn a lot."
Mei Terumi scoffed.
"You two are unbelievable. But I'm curious. Let's hear it."
Rasa chimed in from the beyond.
"I may be dead, but as a former Kage, I want to know too. What happened to Konoha?"
Tobirama Senju clenched his fists. There were no clans left. The support clans had survived, but everything that mattered was gone.
They all turned to Sarutobi and Danzo, their eyes pleading for answers anything to save what little remained.
