"Shi Jing?" Chen Lian repeated under his breath. For a moment, he was a little taken back.
This momentary paused was quickly concealed as he smile brighter.
"A good name!" Chen Lian exclaimed, then walked forward to pat on Shi Jing's shoulder.
At the same time, he turned his head toward Fang Zheng and the disciples behind him, his voice cold and irritated.
"This old man has some matter to discuss with this young man, leave!"
Fang Zheng face darkened. Although he was arrogant, he wasn't mentally crippled.
From the way Elder Chen interact with this no-name person, he had some clues as to what happened.
"Brother Fang…" One of the disciple whispered to him on the side.
This only made Fang Zheng irritated and fueled his hatred for Shi Jing. Without saying anything, he bow to show respect to Elder Chen.
"This disciple will be leaving." He said, then turn his back toward the entrance of the courtyard.
Elder Chen didn't paid those group of outer disciples any attention, treating it as though they were not worth his time.
His attention was on Shi Jing. Despite this young man's age and lower cultivation status, he didn't show a hint of discourtesies.
"May this old man have a chat with you?"
"This child is still young, when treated with considerable amount of respect by someone of higher status, I doubt he can resist what I have to offer!"
Shi Jing could somewhat read his thought. After all, he wasn't a young child, but a matured transmigrated soul as well as regressor who experienced many life and death.
But he didn't point out the old man's thought or intent and wear an amiable smile.
"Of course." Shi Jing said, gesturing for him to enter first. This is a considerate show of respect toward elderly people.
Seeing this, Chen Lian grew even more appreciative and positive regarding Shi Jing as he walked forward first.
Young people these days often only show respect to those of higher status, not that of elderly status. This sight was rare.
Inside the entrance of the courtyard, is a small porch. Taking a few steps past this porch is a small sliding door. Past this door is a small room with a wooden table and two stone chair.
Shi Jing and Chen Lian sat on opposite side, neither offering each other a word.
The only sound was the movement of the servant stirring their cup of tea, followed by the splashing water sound as the tea is poured.
When the tea is poured, the fragrance of the tea leaves permeate Shi Jing's small guest room.
At this moment, Chen Lian wasn't anxious, he was a person with many years of dealing with people, and to him, what is a few minute compare to years of wait?
Often, it is better to let the other person be anxious, this will naturally have them revealed the first flaw.
Not to mention, facing someone like Shi Jing, a child who hasn't even mature yet.
"This old man is interesting… Some time I forget I'm in a body of a child, if not for my transmigrated life, perhaps I would have already hastily spoke up to break the silence."
Shi Jing shook his head as though he was thinking of something.
Without saying anything, he raised his hand to pick up the tea cup and took a big gulp.
This movement startled Chen Lian.
"Isn't the proper procedure is for these kids to be anxious and speak out of turn first?"
"Why is this kid not playing by the rule?!"
Chen Lian was calm and indifferent outwardly, but inwardly, he was looking Shi Jing as though he was an anomaly.
Other than Shi Jing's talent for cultivation, Chen Lian didn't think that he also possess a certain degree of wits and schemes at such a young age.
Was this a deliberate act? Or does this young man have no clues as to what is happening?
For a long brief of time, there was silence between the two, with the occasion sound of tea cups clattering, as well as the servant's footstep.
Seeing this strange interaction between the two, the servant grew increasingly anxious.
"What is up with these two? One young, one old, neither saying anything!"
Of course, the servant, a young lady in her twenties didn't voice her thought and acted as though it was normal.
"Damn this kid!" Chen Lian cursed inwardly and took the initiative to speak.
The silence between the two of them was becoming unbearable.
If it was just for that, he wouldn't mind, but Shi Jing was drinking and eating, while daydreaming as though he wasn't even sitting opposite of him.
"Young man, have you heard of the Sword Cloud Manor?" Chen Lian asked. There was a trace of pride in his voice.
"Of course," Shi Jing nodded, then continued slowly," Within the Cangwu Mountain Range, the Sword Cloud Manor is at least the top five righteous force. I don't believe it, this is all hear say."
Chen Lian nodded, then shake his head slightly, placing down the cup of tea on the table.
"You're not wrong. In the eastern continent, there are many region. Similarly, there are many forces. The Cangwu Mountain Range is one of these region."
"And even in this region, I dare say that our Sword Cloud Manor is number one, arguably second only to the mysterious Soul Refining Sect!"
Hearing this, Shi Jing was a little shock.
"The status of the Sword Cloud Manor is more illustrious than I initially thought..."
The memories of his body was few and scattered and contain very little information about this world.
At the very least.
He was aware that this world has five continent, each split by the vast fog sea. Going further, he was currently in the eastern continent.
The characteristic of the eastern continent is strange to his modern understanding. This is because there are barely to no empire or dynasty, kingdom or states.
Perhaps it is due to the fact that the entire continent is filled with countless mountain ranges and valleys.
