[Power stones! Muwahahahahaha!]

After sending his Divine Dogs to continue their search in the dark alley, Fushiguro entered the establishment, finding his way towards the security room.

Peeking through the glass frame on the door, Fushiguro saw the guard nowhere to be seen. Must've went to the bathroom.

'Perfect.' Fushiguro cheered in his mind before silently entering.

Typing on the computer, it didn't take long before he had access to the replay section of the cameras.

As the Cursed Spirit was sensed to have disappeared yesterday, that's where he started.

For the next few minutes, Fushiguro scoured through the camera, marking each people who entered through the alley.

The one that caught his attention however, was the two familiar thugs along with a teen who looks to be the same age as him.

The two dragged the teen inside and after a few minutes, Fushiguro watched as the teen slowly backed out from the alley, staring inside as if there was someone else in there.

"What's going on there?" Fushiguro rhythmically tapped his finger on the table.

In the screen, the teen looked around his surroundings first before entering the alley once again.

Another minute later, Fushiguro saw a silver haired girl entering the same alley, only to start running outside as if someone or perhaps, the Cursed Spirit was chasing her.

Fushiguro took note of her face and took a pic of her, taking note to send it later to Ijichi to find.

Another minute later and the mysterious teen also got out of the alley, walking calmly as if he wasn't about to get mugged by the two thugs earlier.

"Two leads." Fushiguro smirked and did the same to the teen on the screen, taking a photo of his face and sending it to Ijichi.

After fast-forwading through the entire day and nothing much happened compared to the one that caught his attention, Fushiguro finally left the security room and this time, with two possible leads that will help him solve the mystery.

Sometimes, Fushiguro can't help but praise his investigation skills.

"Hey you! What are you doing here!?" Unfortunately, his moment was destroyed when the security finally came back from his bathroom break.

'Time to make my run.' Fushiguro wasted no time and jumped out of the window.

Although the Jujutsu Sorcerer community have connections with the government and even have more power than the police, that doesn't make them capable of avoiding the law completely, especially if there's no cursed spirit in incident, even if it's just an investigation.

"Oi! You kid! Get back here!" Was the last thing that Fushiguro heard before landing on the ground uninjured.

***

After having successfully kicked his sister out of the room, Kenshin grabbed his phone and the moment he laid his eyes on the screen, he felt himself freezing.

On the screen was a sticker of a white bear sending blowing kisses of hearts.

Under it were several messages from Sawako.

{Sawako: W-Wait! How do I unsend a message!? (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞ }

{Sawako: I don't mean anything by that! (III╥_╥) }

{Sawako: My phone just fell and it suddenly sent that sticker!}

{Sawako: I mean, I'm in the sticker section but that wasn't the sticker I was supposed to send to you!

(,,>﹏<,,) }

{Sawako: Hello? Are you there?}

{Sawako: It's just a misunderstanding, okay?}

Feeling bad for her, Kenshin immediately replied.

{Kenshin: It's fine! I totes understand! I'm sorry for not being able to reply sooner! My stupid sister just decided now's the best time to annoy me!

"( – ⌓ – )=3 }

{Sawako: Really? So that's why….}

{Kenshin: Anyways, are you free tomorrow?}

{Sawako: Tomorrow? I think so, why?}

{Kenshin: Well, I was planning to eat outside and maybe you'd like to join me?}

***

Reading the message, Sawako's face turned beet red and she whispered to herself.

"I-Is it a date? He's asking me for a date?"

Never once did Sawako experienced texting a boy of her age, much less get asked out for a date.

All because of a writer woke up and decided to make a horror movie that turned her incapable of making friends.

"Should I accept? I didn't think he'd actually ask me out. But if I refuse, he might get sad…" With her selfless personality, there are times when Sawako would tend to forget her own needs for the sake of others.

"Well, it's not like I have anything better to do tomorrow other than do chores around the house." Coming up with the decision, Sawako texted her response.

{Sawako: I'd like to!}

After sending the message, Sawako froze as she came to a realization.

"Wait, I don't have money to pay for the food tomorrow….Should I ask from mom? Maybe dad will give me?"

***

Back to Kenshin's room, the man himself, thousands of years old, saved an entire world, vanquished the evil itself, can be seen jumping around the room in excitement.

"My first date. It's a date, right? Right!?" Tears welled up in his eyes as Kenshin was finally about to experience a date with a girl for the first time!

Kenshin raised his arms up in a victory pose.

"Yosh! I need to prepare for tomorrow! Brush my teeth, pick my outfit, and get enough money to pay for our meal. I wouldn't dare to call myself a man if I let her pay, after all."

After having all of his plans made, Kenshin wanted to make this day productive.

And so, he decided to see if he could find the original Kenshin's loan sharks and give them a visit.

If Kenshin wanted to live a normal life, he has to settle some loose ends from the past.

Going out of his room, Kenshin bid farewell to his parents and left the house.

***

"You two imbeciles! Can't even handle a normal teen! Do you know how much he owes us! More than the value of the two of you!" An old man with wrinkles all over his face, spoke with anger in his tone.

Holding what seems to be a wooden cane, the old man smashed it on the two familiar thugs' heads.

"What did you do that day, huh? You forgot? What? Did you two drank yourselves to death huh? Is that it?!"

The two thugs, kneeling on the ground, could only bow their heads and endure the insults being thrown towards them by the Yakuza boss or in Japanese terms, their Oyabun.

"We're extremely sorry, Oyabun-sama!" They smashed their heads on the concrete floor and apologized loudly, much to the snickers of their fellow members.

"Sorry your asses." The old man flared his nostrils before turning to the side.

"Sakamoto, I heard you've been looking for a vacation in Shinjuku right? Coincidentally, this boy lives also at Shinjuku. Fix their mistake and have your vacation at that city." Standing in the dark corner was a thin frame of a tall white-haired man wearing loose glasses, leaning on the wall with a lit cigarette between his index and middle finger.

Taro Sakamoto, world's finest assassin. The legendary hitman, a human weapon.

"Hnn…" Sakamoto inhaled and exhaled from his cigarette before nodding his head.

It's just intimidating someone to pay a loan, he'd done it several times in the past.

"Get it done then, go." The old man gave Sakamoto a short glance before shifting his focus back to the two failures in front of him.

Sakamoto nodded his head before proceeding to leave the room, the smoke of his cigarette trailing over his shoulders.

***

"The Yakuza." Kenshin muttered to himself while walking on the streets.

Based on the information he got from the two thugs, it was the Yakuza whom the original Kenshin idiotically asked for a loan.

As for how much is the loan?

A whopping 1 million dollars. Yes, not Japanese yen, but pure American dollars.

The reason behind the loan was due to the gambling he did in the casino, where he lost his entire winnings and due to addiction, asked one of the Yakuza's lieutenants for a loan, whom he coincidentally bumped into during his time in the casino.

Coincidence? Kenshin thinks otherwise.

From what he know base on the movies and documentaries he could recall, one of the hot spot for loan sharks are the casinos. Even the casino themselves would offer for a loan to its customers.

Time goes on and the original Kenshin's loses far surpassed what he can afford and technically decided to end his life in the hotel room he was staying at.

And now, the original's problems falls to the current Kenshin.

What a great way to start his new life.

Though fortunately, he's not normal.

"Too bad they don't have the specific location of their Oyabun, or else I would've dealt with it through tampering of memories." Kenshin sighed in defeat.

For now, he could only go to a bar where most Yakuza members visit frequently, in hopes of gathering any leads and information.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they sent one of their goons to deal with me now that I've reached the deadline of payment."

Passing by a clothing store, Kenshin contemplated first before walking in.

The original Kenshin didn't have any fancy clothes for dates, he has mostly formal and house clothes only.

So, Kenshin decided to do himself a favour and buy himself some clothes that would surely make everyone gobsmacked.

That is, if those films and tv series were real.

At this point, Kenshin is mostly using his film knowledge as a reference in dating and forming relationships.

***

"Shinjuku…." Getting off the train and out of the station, Fushiguro stared at the locals and foreigners bustling around the streets.

Suddenly, Fushiguro felt someone accidentally bump their shoulder to his, slightly pushing him out of the way.

Thud!

"I'm sorry…." Fushiguro frowned and when he turned to look at who did it, he saw a white-haired up with glasses, about to light a cigarette on his mouth.

Fushiguro was surprised at the man's appearance as he felt his teacher's figure overlapping towards the man.

However, unlike his teacher who stays positive at all times as if problems have never found him, the man in front of him looks like the problem itself.

Cold and impassive face, indescribable aura and those eyes, it reminds Fushiguro of himself in the past before he met his teacher.

Like the life itself has lost meaning and are searching for its purpose in life.

Only when the tall white-haired man was finally gone did Fushiguro woke up from his stupor.

"Weird. That man is weird." He muttered to himself before shifting his attention back to his original purpose in coming to Shinjuku.

Continue his investigation and find out more about that boy he saw from the alley.

***

After testing his new clothes and buying it on the counter using his 'hard-earned' money from kind strangers on the way, Kenshin had it packed up before leaving.

However, just when he was about go to a secluded alley to bring the bag of clothes to his inventory, he suddenly felt someone touching his shoulder.

"Hmm?" Turning around, Kenshin squinted his eyes when he saw a white-haired man with glasses and hair tied to a small bun on the back of his head.

"Do I know you?" In his heart, Kenshin already have an idea why this man is here.

"You are Kurosaki Kenshin, right? We're gonna need to have a talk." Judging by the man's impassive face, Kenshin could tell that the man wouldn't take a 'No' for an answer.

'Might as well entertain myself for a bit and gather more information about the Yakuza at the same time.' Just as Kenshin was about to nod his head and follow the man's lead, another voice interrupted them.

"Excuse, are you Kurosaki Kenshin?" From the looks of it, even the white-haired man wasn't expecting this and raised his eyebrow when the two of them turned their heads to the source of the voice.

Clad in his black uniform, Fushiguro has his hands tucked inside his pockets while looking at the two figures with a serious face.

'What the?' Kenshin felt his jaw drop by seeing this.

Two different people in each of his sides, both wanted to have a 'talk' with him.

'Is this the infamous Mexican Standoff?!'
