After Josh finished loading his wooden flying boat. He said his goodbyes and made sure everybody was good. A few were standing by him, to see him off . He hopped into the boat and said "bye everybody. When I come back we will do the impossible make this place great".
Putting his hands on the boat he activated his wind power. He started infusing it into the boat. This is one of the things she had learned last night. Once he was done he refilled his wind power, with the energy of another power. He then started to move the wind underneath the boat causing it to lift. After rising a few dozen meters. Josh activated the power in the boat it began too soar across the sky.
Now it was the hard part. Deciding where to go next. The boat would run out of power and need to be refilled in about an hour. So Josh decided wherever he was at that time that would be his first stop. He needed to find more monsters or people with powers. Maybe he could help some people in the process. If he told his daughter he helped people, when he finally found her she would call him a hero. Josh smiled at the thought of that.
She's wearing across the sky Josh cracked open a mountain dew and lit another cigarette. "No this is peace" he thought. He continued like this for a little over an hour. He wasn't moving that fast so he was still in Michigan. He noticed He was close to the upper peninsula. He immediately slapped himself in the face. " I was supposed to be going in the other direction. Towards the lower half, so I would at least be able to see the border situation." He thought. He was slightly upset. " I guess I will check out around here. At least then it might have been worth coming out here.
Josh then began to descend. As he got closer to the ground, he got a good look at the area. There wasn't too much around. a couple buildings, houses and a lot of trees. He then decided to activate his purple eyes. Once he did he looked around there were a handful of groups. Only two powered people. Both about 10 miles from each other each on other sides of him. He even saw some monster energy. There is four together, there energy looked much weaker then the monster cow. There was also one monster that was only a little less than that of the monster cow.
Josh decided he would go after the four first. The one was only about a half mile from the four. So he would deal with it after. He headed in that direction. On his way he recharged the energy of his boat. He needed to be ready for a quick getaway if necessary.
As he got closer he began to see what they look like. All four looked the same. They look like coyotes except they were twice as big. Their teeth were four times as big, sticking out of its mouth on an angle, intertwining when its mouth is shut. It had green streaks of scales along its side. The rest of it looked mostly normal.
One of them was almost fifty percent bigger then the rest. Even though they weren't as strong as the last monster he faced. He wanted to do this stealthily. "I will be smart about this" he thought. " After all there are four of them, and one of me.
Landing the boat about a quarter mile from them Josh got out. He pulled a camp tarp out of a storage trunk, that he had in the boat. After folding in the wings he covered it. He had his new powered greatsword, along with a circle shield powered with strength energy. The shield is not particularly strong. but with the strength energy it is extremely durable. along with many other things, Josh found out the strength ability made things more durable along with the metal bone ability. The strength power did it slightly better though.
Josh headed into a wooded area towards the monsters. As he was walking, he wished he would have got closer. He didn't feel like walking. He was just flying in a boat after all. He couldn't jog or run because they would for sure hear him. So he stealthily walked, and used the wind power to move wind around him. Because of that it was unlikely for him to be heard.
As he could get closer he began to hear them. And soon he could see them. All four of them were trying to get in a little wood cabin. They kept headboarding the door but it looked reinforced." Is somebody in there?" He thought. " Oh well that doesn't change anything" he pulled out his sword and hit it against the few trees to make noise. The monsters immediately stopped what they were doing. They looked in his direction. When they saw him they all bolted towards him. Two of which trying to come around to his sides. the big one with the last one running straight at me.
" Are they trying to flank me?" Josh said out loud. He was surprised that they were this smart. But they went through an evolution so it makes sense. As they got closer they started glowing. And then moving even faster. This caught Josh off guard he swung his sword at the big one but it moved around the blade, Jumping towards Josh and fighting him in the shoulder. As the blade hit the ground. the two at his sides that were about to reach him, along with the last one in front of him went flying away. Just the big one was still gripping on to his shoulder.
Josh grabbed the monsters back. He tried pulling it off of him with his strength power. It worked but the monster never let go. and that caused it's teeth to rip across. Causing Josh a great deal of pain. As he winced he activated his firepower shooting a fireball at the big one. Hitting it and sending it away.
At this time the other three were back up, headed at him. He didn't want to get bit again. So he activated the sword's power. Then maneuvered himself so all three little monsters we're next to each others on his side. Extending his sword spikes shot towards and stabbed all three. " Okay one left" Josh thought as he heard a cry come from the big one. It was upset.
It's green scales begin to Glow brighter and it charged at Josh. Josh still had his sword ability active. So when the monster got closer and he swung his blade. The monster dodged to the side. But a spike came out of the blade stabbing the monster ending this fight.
Standing there Joshua's examining his wound. It was fairly deep. Drawing out his light power at an enhanced level, he began to spread the energy around his shoulder. Then covered it by wrapping his shirt around it. He then checked the monsters for crystals which all four had, and retrieved them. They were much smaller than the monster cow's. But the big coyote monster's Crystal was slightly bigger. They were all light green and that's when he noticed. it was the same type of power as his speed power. He put them away now knowing there would be no point in absorbing them, besides a slight power boost.
After examining the monsters a little longer he decided to ignore the cabin and head back to his boat.
Reaching the boat Josh cleaned himself up. He wondered if he should go straight to the other monster. He was worried that he had got lucky with the monster cow. And what if he doesn't get lucky this time. He decided to put his fear aside, then headed towards the final monster in the area. As he was walking he noticed the ground was tore up all around the area. Like somebody was digging everywhere. This was definitely odd. Josh continue to study the ground as you walked.
When he finally reached where the monster was supposed to be he noticed he couldn't see anything. Just trees and tore up dirt. Looking around he decided to just activate his purple eyes. He still didn't see anything, at least that was until he looked down. He saw an energy source heading up straight towards him. There was no time. Before he could activate any power, a giant worm that was at least fifteen meters long, and four wide shot out of the ground, underneath Josh swallowing him with its super wide mouth. It immediately closed his mouth, and Dove back into the ground.
It was dark Josh couldn't see anything. Activating his firepower he saw he was in some sort of stomach. He knew he needed to get out. He started to blast his fire in every direction. But the walls were tougher than Teflon. They wouldn't burn. And to make things worse he had just burnt all the oxygen and now he couldn't breathe. He dropped his sword as he was swallowed or he could use that. He used his strength power, trying to push out with no success. He only used more oxygen. Now he was getting frantic.
He decided to try Cynthia's new ability maybe it would help. Reaching for the power and grabbing the evolved version. he pulled the power out and activated it.
He started to feel cold. And since it was related to water he immediately knew what it was. With a slight smile he put his hands on the wall of the worms stomach. He then used all of his other powers, to boost this power. Causing it to reach level seven. He then started using the power through his hands.
The word began to freeze from the inside. Eventually within seconds, its entire body was ice. Because it was moving so fast underground it shattered sending Josh flying out, and being crushed by dirt that collapsed on top of them.
Wasting no time Josh activated his earth power creating a dome around him and lifting him up out of the ground. He made sure to lift the worms frozen body with him. resting for a moment after reaching the top. and after finding something to cover himself because he burned through his clothes again. He sifted through the pieces of the worms frozen body. He found the crystal. which was only a little smaller than the cow monsters Crystal. He could tell it had the Earth's power. The first power in the Crystal was at level five." So I guess this worm was a level five monster. " Josh said to himself. " If that's the case I must avoid level six or higher monsters. I am strong but my attacking power needs improvement."
He decided to head back to his boat and rest for a bit. The walk seemed to take even longer than when he walked here. That's when he noticed the worm had took in him over two miles away. "That damn worm" Josh was very upset. He couldn't run because he needed to draw in energy as he was walking. which was hard enough while walking. He just sucked it up and kept walking.
However after a few moments Josh stopped. He could feel something weird. Some sort of power he activated his purple eyes and looked where the feeling was coming from. He saw a large unmoving power source. It seemed to be connected to a dozen smaller power sources. He immediately started walking towards it.
He came across a large Hill and at this side was a small opening. The power was coming from inside of it. For a spit second he thought about walking away but decided this might be important. It obviously wasn't a monster he could tell when things had Life energy. He decided he would enter and see what was going on inside.
