Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: Sugar Daddy Meet The Fam!

Principal Shiro's POV:

Soon after the dark palace aerial ship passed over our heads, I spotted a small boat that looked eerily similar to my damaged aerial craft flitting around the giant flying ship, raining fireballs down on the ship's defensive barrier. I moved to reassure myself as I reached for my spatial storage ring, but…

"Where is it?!"

The ring I thought was around my left index finger was gone. The other two arch mages gave me strange looks as I frantically looked through my clothes for my spatial ring.

"Hey, Shiro. We're going to go now."

"See you later!" The two of them said before leaving.

I had been robbed. Someone had pickpocketed my spatial storage ring and was currently using it to pick a fight with the Dark Palace.

"If anyone finds out that ship belongs to me, I'm dead!" And with those words I ran after the giant ship that was quickly leaving the city behind.

Once they left the airspace of the Walpurgis Island I had to chase after them using a wind attribute flight spell. Unfortunately, it was of a rather low tier due to me specializing in light magic. Hence, I was left in the dust as they moved farther away.

*POP*

Suddenly there was a flash of light and a giant popping sound. After that the giant aerial craft of the dark palace disappeared.

I moved back to the island with an anxious feeling in my gut, as I pondered who could have robbed me.

"Knows Fire Ball! Can sneak around an arch mage! Would want to frame me…!"

Suddenly, the image of a mischievous professor with a talent for spreading misinformation flashed inside my head. Suddenly, I rushed back to the city to look for that man.

"Did he figure me out and try to frame me?" I muttered to myself as I entered the city.

I started frantically searching for him, but the city was rather large, so looking haphazardly wouldn't do any good. After taking a deep breath, I sat down on the edge of a water fountain and recomposed myself before deciding where to look next.

"Hey! What in the-!"

If I were him, where would I most likely go after leaving the inn. He is rather odd and excentric so maybe he went to the shopping district to look for something interesting.

"How you been big sis! Or is it big bro now? HAHA!"

Or maybe he went to look at the arena. It is rather attention grabbing with it being the largest structure in the city.

"GOOD TO SEE MY LITTLE CRYBABY HASN'T CHANGED A BIT!"

Or maybe-.

"HEY! STOP IT! LET ME GO!"

"WOULD YOU QUIET DOWN?! I'M TRYING TO THINK!" I yelled at the trio making a fuss behind me, only to be shocked at what I saw.

The person I just yelled at was the very man I had been looking for, but that wasn't what concerned me. Floating above him was a giggling jester and as for the other person. He was a dark-haired, green-eyed elf, that Mr. Sun had put in a headlock as he was giving him a nuggie.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed as I saw the man who was still technically employed at my academy bully one of the most feared mages of the modern day.

As people started noticing who and what was happening the plaza began to empty of people as many were scared of getting caught in the crossfire.

"PROFESSOR SUN! UNHAND HIM AT ONCE!"

I moved to stop that lunatic before he could pin the blame on me. After dragging him off the elf I grabbed him by the hair as I forced him to bow his head as an apology.

"PLEASE EXCUSE MY IMPERTINENT SUBORDINATE! I BEG YOUR FORGIVENESS OH GREAT MAD MAGE!"

"Hey big bro! Who's the geezer?"

"My boss's boss!" The lunatic said to the floating jester with his head still bowed.

"Huh? Big bro?" I was confused

"Oh! Hey, geezer! You mind! We're sort of in the middle of a family reunion. So, scram!"

I stepped back as the jester was giving me an ominous glare, while the mad mage was giving me a pleading look. Scared and confused, I left the plaza before I got on their bad side. In hindsight it might have been for the best I didn't kill him, seeing as he has a connection to the mad mage. It must have been someone else who stole my ring. Afterall, there would be no point in framing me given who the mad mage works for.
