Chapter 33 - Birth of Rever

Two years had passed peacefully for the Arc family. Fleedorb had grown quiet after the last Regional Devourer attack, and no new world-level threats had emerged. Ryu's reputation as the "Reborn Hero" had spread far and wide, but for now, the Arc family lived a quiet, joyful life.

On a calm spring morning, a new light entered their lives.

Reina gave birth to a baby boy.

They named him Rever Arc.

Ryu held his newborn son gently in his arms, eyes soft with wonder. Unlike when Caline was born—when so much uncertainty still lingered—this time Ryu felt... peace. Hope. A sense of full-circle completeness.

Reina, resting in bed, looked over at her husband and whispered, "He has your eyes... but Mina's quiet presence."

Mina, sitting nearby and smiling, chuckled softly. "That's not a bad thing."

---

As Rever grew over the following months, one thing was clear: he wasn't like Caline.

Caline had shown signs of talent from a very young age—absurd reflexes, accelerated understanding of techniques, and the rare ability to read energy flows instinctively.

But Rever... was slower. Gentler.

He was curious, yes—but more in the way he stared at the trees swaying in the wind, the patterns in the stars, or the way birds chirped in rhythm. His energy was quiet, inward. Peaceful.

Still, whenever Ryu held his hand, he felt something subtle in Rever's pulse.

A latent foundation, steady and deep—not explosive, not overwhelming like Caline, but stable. Like Mina.

Mina noticed it first. "He has my potential," she said one evening, holding her nephew while watching the others train in the field. "Not flashy. But with the right guidance... he'll become something incredible in his own way."

Ryu nodded. "That's more than enough."

---

Now, with Caline at nine and growing stronger every month, and Rever just turning two, the Arc household was full of life again.

Reina and Ryu were proud. Mina, ever a quiet guardian, never left their side. And though a shadow still lingered in the distance—always something unknown in the world beyond—this chapter of their lives was defined by warmth, growth, and the promise of a future worth protecting.
