Chapter 10 - Chapter 10-The Coveted Necklace

Those who heard Mr. Steven's shout were surprised and exchanged glances.

"How could they find you so fast, Sam?" Tom asked incredulously, exchanging glances with the others.

"I guess it's normal, they're asking everyone they meet on the street," Zack stated.

"Let's see what they want, looking for you, Sam!" Tom exclaimed, ready to step forward.

"Wait!" Samson stopped Tom. "Since they're looking for me, I'll go face them out front. You guys just wait inside. If things get out of hand, you know what to do," Samson said again, firmly.

"Copy that!" they replied in unison.

In the front yard, a large man was talking on the phone. "Good evening, Mr. Sebastian," he said. "Good news, we've found the residence of the young man named Samson. We're now in his front yard."

Mr. Sebastian's face lit up with the news. "Good! Send me the house's location, I'll be there tonight. Don't do anything before I arrive, understood?"

"Yes, Sir!" his bodyguard replied.

Samson stepped out, his hands behind his back. With an intimidating aura, he shouted at everyone in front of him, "All of you! You've trespassed onto my property without permission. Why are you looking for me? You've scared my family and my neighbors!"

Inside the house, Vivian and her mother were terrified hearing Samson's outburst. They hugged each other tightly. This was new to them; hearing Samson angry.

"Mom, why are there so many people in front of our house? Who are they?" Vivian asked. She paused for a moment, then continued, "And why are they all looking for Samson?"

Her mother sighed deeply, shaking her head. "I don't know either, Vivi. I just hope they're not bad people and don't want to hurt your brother."

"But I'm afraid they'll do something bad to Samson," Vivian interjected, worried.

"Hey! Since when do you care about your brother, Vivi?" her mother teased.

"Mom!" Vivian's face flushed slightly.

"But don't worry, your brother's a war veteran. And what I know is, his four friends are also war veterans. I'm sure they're all skilled fighters," her mother said again, trying to reassure Vivian.

Zack and his three friends, who were not far from Vivian and her mother, chimed in, "Don't worry, nothing will happen to Samson. They're no match for your brother."

Then Vivian asked Zack, "Is my brother really that strong?"

Zack casually replied, "You'll see."

Meanwhile, Samson was still full of questions in front of his house. All the bodyguards in front of him were still standing like statues, not doing anything, let alone speaking. Finally, Samson stepped forward, approached the head bodyguard, and slapped him hard.

Slap!

"I'm giving you ten seconds! Get out of my house before my anger grows!" Samson snapped.

"We won't leave until our master gets here!" the head bodyguard replied.

"Isn't your master Mr. Sebastian?" Samson snapped again, still holding back his emotions.

Then Samson landed another slap on the head bodyguard's face.

Slap!

The head bodyguard fell to the ground, fresh blood dripping from the corner of his lips and nose. His jaws clenched tightly, his fists balled up. His emotions and anger could no longer be contained.

In a hoarse voice, he threatened, "You'll regret this, young man!"

"Why should I regret it?" Samson asked. "Enough, your time's up!" Samson turned his back, shouting, "Tom, Ferdy, do you guys want to get some exercise Samson.

At the same time, the head bodyguard had already signaled his subordinates to attack Samson. Tom and Ferdy were already in front of the house. All the bodyguards drew their sharp weapons, pointing them at Samson.

"Attack them!" the head bodyguard shouted.

Tom and Ferdy leaped two meters into the air, swinging their arms.

Whoosh! whoosh! swish!

Several attacking bodyguards were thrown backward, their weapons flying from their hands. They screamed hysterically, not yet realizing what had hit them.

The head bodyguard and the remaining bodyguards were startled; they hadn't realized what Tom and Ferdy had done either.

Tom and Ferdy had actually thrown secret weapons in the form of metal pellets the size of rosary peas. Only, the bodyguards in front of them didn't know it.

The palms of the attacking bodyguards were pierced through, blood flowing profusely from each hand. Their entire hands felt numb from the impact of Tom and Ferdy's secret weapons.

Suddenly, Samson's phone rang. He took it out of his pocket and pressed the answer button. "Hello! Sorry about that, we got cut off!" Samson said.

"Samson, are you okay?" Lily asked, still waiting for Samson's definite answer. "Oh yeah, Sam! I just wanted to confirm if you'll be coming to my birthday party?" Lily asked again, hopefully.

"Alright, I'll try my best to come to your birthday party," Samson replied, assuring her.

"Alright then, I'll be waiting for you," Lily responded, satisfied with Samson's answer.

Then Samson looked at Mr. Sebastian's bodyguards in front of him with a terrifying aura and said, "I gave you a chance, but you didn't take it. I'm forced to drive you out by force. And don't blame me if you don't see the sun tomorrow morning." Samson gestured with his hand towards Tom and Ferdy.

"Wait!"

A shout came from outside Samson's yard. The figure who shouted then stepped into the front yard. Everyone present turned towards the figure.

It turned out that the one who shouted was none other than Mr. Sebastian. Mr. Sebastian walked past his many injured bodyguards. However, he didn't seem to care much about his wounded guards. He kept walking forward, until he was finally in front of Samson.

"I apologize for this misunderstanding," Mr. Sebastian said.

"What nonsense are you talking about, Sir?" Samson asked with a high intonation. Samson paused for a moment, then continued, "You and all your bodyguards came to my house uninvited, without permission, and you've scared my family and neighbors, and you call it a misunderstanding, huh? I hope you have a reasonable explanation for all this. Because if not, I won't hesitate to end your life and your bodyguards'."

"Alright, alright! I'll explain it to you." Mr. Sebastian turned his body and shouted to all his bodyguards. "All of you, leave this place immediately!"

"But sir, what if something happens to you?" the head bodyguard asked.

"No 'buts'!" Mr. Sebastian snapped again. "All of you, without exception, leave this place, now!"

"Alright, alright, sir! But we'll watch from outside to make sure nothing happens to you," the head bodyguard said again.

All of Mr. Sebastian's bodyguards stepped out of Samson's yard.

"You see, all my subordinates have left your yard. Let's find a place to talk, I'll explain everything to you."

Samson gestured with his hand to Tom and Ferdy to go inside his house.

Samson pointed to a bench in his front yard. Then he called out, "Let's go over there!"

Mr. Sebastian followed Samson from behind. They both sat down, and both sighed deeply.

Samson started the conversation, "Let's get straight to the point, Sir, no need for pleasantries. I don't have much time for things that are useless to me."

"Alright, alright, Sam! To the point then." Then Mr. Sebastian said, "Here's the thing, Sam, I did order all my subordinates to look for you. Because I don't know where you live, and I already tried calling you, but your contact number seemed inactive."

"So what's your reason for looking for me, Sir?" Samson asked, staring intently into Mr. Sebastian's eyes.

"I'm very interested in that necklace you're wearing, Samson. Would you be willing to sell it to me? I'll pay handsomely for it," Mr. Sebastian replied.

Samson was silent for a moment, hearing Mr. Sebastian's offer. Samson thought to himself, what Zack said was true. And Samson could also guess the direction of the conversation, because from the beginning he had a hunch that Mr. Sebastian was after the necklace he was wearing.

Samson remained silent for quite a while, then he asked, "Why are you so interested in this necklace I'm wearing? And what's so special about it to you? I think you could buy many more nice and expensive necklaces than this one of mine." Then Samson said again, "Besides, I've worn this necklace since I was a child, so I'm sorry, but I won't sell or give it to you."

"Come on, Sam, how much do you want?" Mr. Sebastian asked, deliberately avoiding the question by changing the subject.

He took a checkbook from his pocket and immediately wrote down an amount on the check.

"Does this necklace mean that much to you?" Samson asked, seeing Mr. Sebastian busy writing the amount. Samson felt annoyed, as his previous question hadn't been answered.

"Exactly, Samson!" Mr. Sebastian replied curtly.

"Then why don't you think this necklace means a lot to me too?" Samson asked with more emphasis in his voice.

Mr. Sebastian didn't answer Samson's question; he was thinking of some good reasons to reply.
