Chapter 6 - illusion?... - 1

::::::::::::::::::::

"What is that book in your hand, Cel?"

"Who moved my cheese?"

" I see. Did you come to tell me about it?"

" That's right. If I don't tell you, reading it will be meaningless for me."

" then tell me about it."

" Yeah, the story is about two mice and two dwarves who found a cheese storehouse and came every day to eat from it, every day and every day, but one day the cheese disappeared from the storehouse, so the mice went looking for new cheese, but the dwarves were sad and sat angrily in the empty storehouse, wanting the cheese to return to them. Then one of the dwarves left his friend when he saw that he didn't want to move and went to look for new cheese, while the other dwarf stayed in the empty storehouse waiting for the cheese to return forever. Meanwhile, the two mice and the other dwarf found a new cheese storehouse and went to enjoy the cheese again."

"Oh, I see, they're all fools, aren't they? I mean, why run after something that isn't yours?"

"Yes, they're all fools... I mean, it's obvious that the cheese in the store wasn't theirs, and one day the store owner will take the cheese in the store whenever he wants, just like he did with the first store. So why didn't they just move it to their own house where no one could take it from them? They are complete fools because even after the mice and the dwarf found a new storehouse, they just repeated what they did by leaving the cheese under the control of others, and so the storehouse will disappear again and again, and that's why they are just fools."

"Yes, yes, brother, you are quite clever, but don't think about stealing a large amount of money from Grandfather because, as you know, we don't have a storehouse or a house of our own."

"Oh, you're right. So, shall we build our own hideout? A hideout that no one else knows about?"

"Sigh..."

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The hissing of the fire whispered its melody in his ear, and the redness of the blood watered the ground around him, and the raging fire danced with all its terror on the strings of the end.

A scene that defies oblivion knocks on his consciousness with the temptation of madness, and in response or escape from this malicious temptation, he wanted a refuge to flee from the shores of this nightmares.

So he began to moan in sorrow, his brother's voice ringing in his head like hallucinations

Brother... I... I... I burned the house down.

Then, to a voice that sounded like a warm melody calling him out of this frightening, chaotic madness, he opened his eyes, or rather one eye, the other half of his face wrapped in a white bandage that hid his features and the traces of his tragedy from view.

"young master Cassian..."

It took him a moment or two to comprehend his awakening and remember the moments of the tragedy and his brother who had burned to death before his eyes.

He jumped up recklessly and asked, although given his agitation, his voice should have been loud with screaming, but his hoarse voice barely rang out.

"Brother... where... Cel?"

Unable to say more, a sharp pain shot through his throat and he began to cough painfully. It was the beginning of his awareness of his body, and the pain throughout his body silenced him.

The doctor leaned over him and whispered tenderly, urging him to calm down.

"Calm down first. Look, if you act like this, you will only hurt yourself, young master. Lie down and rest now, and then we will talk about everything later."

Although his body was screaming for rest because of the agony of the pain in his body, his mind was ringing with danger, and the image of the burning torrent refused to leave his head. He grabbed the doctor's hand, which was gently holding his shoulder, and asked with teary eyes and sad pleading

"I want... my brother... uncle... please..."

The doctor opened his mouth, wanting to respond with some excuse to the miserable child who had forgotten his pain in his fear, asking about his brother. Something stirred in his heart. How many people remember their brother in their pain?

Although the doctor did not realize what Cecil meant to Cassian, it was a beautiful scene of a loving family.

He did not know that all Cassian had in this world was Cecile, and that he felt safe only when he was near...

But before he could answer, someone else entered the room in surprise.

"Oh, he's awake? Wonderful! How is he, doctor? Is everything all right?"

"young master's condition is stable. We'll keep him under observation for two more days to make sure he doesn't suffer from any other problems."

"I understand. Thank you, doctor."

As they talked about his condition, Cassian remained silent.

He looked around the classic white hospital room... He closed his eyes quietly as he reimagined the last scene before he lost consciousness...

This was a secret he had not told anyone else, not even his grandfather, his older brother, or anyone else.

The fact that they were able to use their innate abilities

Without a doubt, Cecil was the one who set the house on fire. He told him so himself, after all...

But he didn't understand and couldn't comprehend why Cecil burned... Then... Was it all just an illusion? Perhaps because he woke up suddenly from his sleep, he confused dream and reality

It was impossible for Cecil to burn in the fire he started... Wait, if he was confusing reality with dreams, didn't that mean that Cecil's confession was also just a dream...

He flinched when he felt a touch on his arm and looked with confusion and a hint of fear in his eyes at the doctor, who smiled kindly at him and said

"It's okay, I'm just going to make sure you're okay. Relax, young master. Will you allow me to?"

He nodded without saying a word and responded to the doctor, who began to examine his wounds, which appeared to be healed but somehow were not... No one could understand this wound, and there were no other survivors. Either they had died or survived completely, and Cassian was the only one rescued from the villa with injuries.

Although he had burns, they looked like the effects of poisoning, even though there were no traces of poison, only red cracks covering the affected areas as if they were broken like pottery.

However, these wounds never bleed, but there is also no sign of healing.

Even after the doctor finished examining him and re-dressing his wounds, he remained calm and completely obedient. Immediately after the doctor left, he turned to the person standing next to his bed, who, from his uniform and manner of movement, was clearly a servant from the house.

He asked,

"Where is my brother?"

But... the servant just smiled calmly and ignored the question completely, responding with another question, evading Cassian's question.

"Are you hungry, young master? Shall I bring you something light to eat, or would you prefer something to drink?"

...

Ignored... Despite being the son of one of the most elite families in the world, he was blatantly ignored by a mere servant.

He felt angry... Even when he was still at his grandfather's house, although his grandfather was harsh and cruel, the servants never dared to raise their heads in front of him and his brother.

After all, Cassian Januvia and Cecil Januvia were the direct descendants and grandsons of the lord of the family. Who would dare...

But it seemed that today, someone had...

His gaze grew colder as he looked at the servant, who was smiling annoyingly and insolently

However, unlike the reckless and chaotic Cecil, he simply closed his eyes and calmly swallowed his anger.

First, it is better to understand his position in the family. Perhaps if he or Cecil were accused of burning down the house, they might be exiled or something like that. So yelling at the servant like a spoiled young master just to embarrass himself later is not his hobby.

So... let's calm down a little...
