A powerful blow took down an unoccupied tower in the far corner of the city, the witnessing people, from a safe distance, described seeing a flying object colliding with the tower before it fell, the dust and debris from the impact covered the a noticeable range of the area around the tower, or what remained of it, a human figure came out from the dust, he was non other than Baron who was launched into that tower by Görbbe, he didn't cough, he just brushed off the dust from his clothes and sprinted back at Görbbe, who was already on his way to Baron
BOOM
the two collided with each other at high speed, high enough to create a massive shockwave that shook the entire southern part of Guirith,
right after that massive attack, they exchanged fists, Baron punched Görbbe with power while the other was guarding the punches, and so did Görbbe, that is until Baron aimed for the face, He charged his fist with all his might at Görbbe, who raised his arms against it to guard the blow, but the attack was too power for him to hold his position, so he was sent flying into a nearby building, and it happened to be a house of a family of four, Görbbe got up immediately and looked at the family, who were looking back in shock, a shocking scene in the middle of their dinner wasn't something fit for them after all, "I apologize for the trouble, I hope I didn't hurt you, at least physically" Görbbe told the family apologetically, Baron came to the scene running with a worrying face saying "Oh no, please be ok" as he was checking on the family, he looked at Görbbe then looked at them, the father held his son and the mother held the other, Baron looked at the hole he made in the house with his hands on his head, Görbbe watched him comforting the family, promising them a generous compensation, He calmly waited outside until Baron was done ensuring the family's safety, Baron came out of the house, not to continue the fight, but to talk:
-"Hey, Görbbe, We can't continue at this rate"
-"I didn't expect the fight to be intense like that, That impact wasn't in my calculations"
-"Let's go somewhere else then, we might kill somebody if we kept fighting around here"
-"Worry Not, Baron, I've already got it handled !"
The two gentlemen walked to a nearby empty yard to settle the debate, "this place looks suitable" Görbbe said before taking a deep breath, he raised his right arm making it shining in a bright blue beam, he walked towards Baron who was facing him, he moved back a bit and said "Whoa, Hold up there, is this another one of your tricks?",
"Don't worry, I won't initiate any offense as long as I'm in the city, I have a 'more functional' way to handle this" Görbbe said before he grabbed baron with his collar with his glowing arm, the atmosphere around them went dead silent for a moment, then..
BAM !
Giant walls of Blue lights surrounded the two, separating them from the City around them, then the walls began to expand rapidly, showing buildings that extend to the horizon, some with towers, it was like an expanded copy of Guirith, but empty and endless, the Sky above them was bright blue, with nothing in it to enlighten,
Baron looked around him surprised, "What in the- !, MAN !!!, This place is.." he said as he was observing the sky above him, Görbbe replied with his eyes full of excitement "Haha, you liked that ?, this is what I call 'The Rift world', it's a pocket dimension I accessed with my mana, I didn't build it, of course, it was already there, I just discovered it my chance in one of my studies, The buildings you see around you are all empty, there are no souls here, only buildings that extend to the endless horizon, so we both can go all out", Baron asked in confusion "then Why didn't you use it from the beginning? We almost killed that family thanks to your Anvil smooth brain!",
"we'll discuss that later, as it was also a part of your test, now let's proceed, shall we ?" Görbbe replied as he was slowly walking away from Baron, Preparing the fight distance,
He raised his Glowing arm once again saying "Show me your best, Baron Maverick",
"Hah, I won't disappoint, trust me !" Baron said as he was preparing to charge,
The two leaped at each other and clashed so powerfully that the air around them was knocked away, Upper jabs, Lowe jabs, straight punches, lower cuts, uppers and Guard attacks back and forth, the two relentlessly attacked each other, as if two predators are fighting over a prey, Görbbe charged his hand after guarding baron's straight punch and struck baron back with an immense power, a power so immense that Baron needed to fly through 5 buildings just to land, "Ohoho, now we're talking" Baron shouted as he leapt back at Görbbe striking him with both fists, but he dodged it, Görbbe, with his speed nearing the light, was attacking Baron as well as Guarding his blows too, "You're too slow, Baron, too slow" he said mocking the speed of Baron's movements, but little did he know that Baron was seeing through his movements despite them being so fast, Because he is far more skilled in combat than he looked, Görbbe attacked from behind with a charged upper cut, But Baron Parried that strike and Reacted with another charged lower strike with both of his hands, targeting Görbbe's Stomach, with all his Might and power, Baron managed to throw Görbbe 14 meters vertically with the force of his strike, Görbbe landed on the right side of his back, Breaking a shoulder and a few ribs, he got up on his legs gasping for air:
-"that was something else, quite surprised that you predicted my movements, hehe !"
-"you did move fast, but your combat skills lack a lot, a mage can't be that good in fist fighting after all, I hope you have a trick up your sleeves to fix yourself because I don't wanna stay here forever"
-"Haha, I did underestimate you, I must admit, you struck me with precision and power despite my speed, that was indeed impressive"
Görbbe continued as he got up and his body glowed with a blue light "Worry not, a few broken bones aren't anything special to me, my Knowledge in magic has already covered that",
he rolled his arm and stretched his right side after it was apparently healed by magic as he said "Let's continue the trial, the physical part isn't done yet, you still have a lot to do".
Baron turned towards him and smirked "Hah ! I like your attitude, Görbbe, I won't lie" said as he was approaching Görbbe, MENACINGLY.
The Fight continues, the two leapt at each other with their fists clenched, Exchanging blows for a good while, a punch into Baron's face, a powerful elbow into Görbbe's skull, a lower cut into Baron's jaw and finally a powerful headbutt into the center of Görbbe's face, Görbbe faltered in front of Baron who was standing there gasping for air, Görbbe mustered the power to Grab Baron by the waste and sprint through 6 walls behind him but he collapsed at the seventh.
Both were heavily damaged, but Neither of them was bleeding, strangely, Görbbe got up on his feet standing high and shadowing Baron who was lying on the rubble of the demolished wall,
Görbbe commented "Great Job, Baron Maverick, Your strength is commendable, your resilience is remarkable and your intelligence is incredible, I must say",
Baron replied "You put in a good fight too, I must admit, never had a good fist fight with someone since I was 14 honestly, and by the way, thanks for the protective spell",
"You recognized it fast, hehe, don't thank me, it's only because I don't want to introduce bleeding recruits to the department, this spell saves me a lot of trouble, You did have a small flow, however, you lacked speed, you're too slow Baron, too slow" Görbbe said as he was making distance from Baron who replied "You better not get cocky, Mr. swift man, a speedy me is not something you'd want to fight"
He Got up from the rubble and brushed off the dust, standing up again thanks to the protective spell casted by Görbbe.
Görbbe Began to levitate as his body glowed blue, He commented as he was levitating higher "The Physical test is over, and you impressed me a lot, now I shall see your resilience against true magic power, prepare for the magic test !!"
Baron replied as his eyes lit up in excitement "Increasing the stakes, I see, I can see the real fun coming a mile away !!"
Görbbe said as he was summoning a pair of energy wings to float in the air "I hope your power matches your excitement, this won't be easy"
The Magic Trial Begins, Görbbe summoned 10 great Magic orbs in the form of 2 pillars, each one with 5 orbs, they were launched like projectiles at Baron, who dodged them one after one,
Rolling under the first, leaping over the 2nd sliding between the 3rd and 4th, leaning backwards dodging the 5th, rolling another 6th, dodging the 7th to the side and sprinted behind a nearby wall to avoid the 8th, using the terrain for his advantage, however, the 9th one struck from his blind spot electrocuting him from the back, Baron's body lit up with light blue bolts and lied on the ground shocked, Görbbe said to Baron as the last one was approaching him from above
"your movements are way too predictable, Baron, You're no match for those magic attacks, I'm afraid"
The Last orb Exploded above Baron Electrocuting him from the front, he grunted in pain, he was basically grilled at that point, he lied their motionless for a few minutes, Görbbe patiently waited for him to stand up.
Baron stood up after a few minutes, but instead of feeling pain and powerlessness, he felt energized, his body lit up just like Görbbe's, an unusual strength flows through Baron's body, this feeling, was rather familiar, feeling fired up, he looked at his arm that was glowing with blue bolts of light, same goes for his other limbs, he looked at Görbbe who was chuckling as he looked at him,
"you lack a few things, so consider this a little boost for you, I want to see the speedy you that you claimed I shouldn't see, C'mon now, don't you disappoint me !"
Baron looked at him with a wide smirk across his face "Thanks for the boost in advance, but you'll regret this, unfortunately", then he set his foot preparing to sprint, his legs moved at lightning speed towards Görbbe who was floating high above the ground and moving away with his eyes towards him,
Görbbe spread his wings and released a Wave of Sharp feathers at the direction of Baron who swiftly Dodge them, another wave from the other wing came through, Baron avoided them by sprinting through the wave with high speed, a final wave from Both of Görbbe's wings was Released, a much larger wave of Sharp feathers flew at Baron who looked defenseless against it,
However,
Baron stops and transfer all the kinetic power from his stop into his leg which he raised above his head and slammed it into the ground,
BAM !
an entire chunk of the ground was pulled upwards forming a wall that stopped all of the feathers that were about to hit him, And He finished it by shattering the chunk by sprinting through it,
"Using the surroundings to your advantage ?, Now that's what I wanted to see, Now Show me, Baron, How will you handle an opponent using the surroundings against you too ?" Görbbe said as he Raised both of his hands, seconds after, the ground quaked aggressively, the pillars and towers from every building floated in the air, And with a gesture from his hand, Görbbe sent all of those flying pillars and towers like projectiles at Baron,
"Man, I love your creativity, never disappoint, ahaha!!" He said as he leaned to Sprint towards the hail of giant flying towers and Pillars, he leapt into the air and landed on a tower running forward, jumping from one tower to another, from one pillar to another, and his destination was Görbbe,
this scene, seeing himself jumping between flying towers that were through at him like arrows and the scene of distant building beneath him, Baron felt an immeasurable joy he has never experienced once in his life, this fight, he was yearning for a fight like this since he landed his first punch in his life,
An unrivaled sense of joy flowed through Baron's veins, He was so motivated, He Jumped from the last Pillar between him and Görbbe and charged at him with full speed, He Bashed him with his shoulder knocking him out of the air, Görbbe fell from 30 meters of height with Baron to the ground, his wings began to shatter, fading away as he got closer to the ground,
CRASH !!
The two fell to the ground and the collision made a crater beneath them, a cloud of dust Covered them, their Bodies began to appear as the cloud was slowly fading, The two were lying next to each other, Gasping for air, a wide smile was drawn on their faces as they were trying to catch their Breath, Görbbe raised from his place as he was laughing
"I- have never experienced such fight before, I must admit, Maverick, your strength truly impressed me, But don't rest now !!"
He said as he began to levitate once again, but this time he got much higher above Baron, who mustered his last bit of power to stand up
"A truly joyful experience, as you said, I never felt this much adrenaline in my life before, I'm out of power but not out of will to fight, This is a last stand, Görbbe Mannors, Show me your true strength one last time !!, hahaha !!"
Görbbe Released a Hail of Explosive Orbs Above Baron, But he avoided them by running through and Under the Flying Rubble from the Destroyed Buildings, using the terrain to his advantage once again, But that didn't end there, Görbbe Released yet another Chain of Explosive Orbs that followed Baron wherever he went, But He avoided them By running straight towards them, for he quickly realized that those Orbs cannot handle sharp turns, He ran through the Buildings around him, Every time he faced an Orb, He Ran in its direction and made a sharp turn the moment he was close to it, forcing it to crash into the nearby building, Görbbe was left floating in the air, He was observing Baron from distance, Impressed by his Ability to adapt and fast thinking "This is great, really great, you're the person we need, Now I'm more than certain" he whispered to himself.
Baron Looked from the far distance at Görbbe, His legs began to Spark with Blue lightning, and so Görbbe's arms,
Baron Leapt in the air and sprinted in the direction of Görbbe who was, in the meantime, Summoning a Giant Sparking Orb above him, Baron was wondering what that great light before him was, But to his surprise, it didn't take long before the light began to take shape, In Görbbe's hands, the Orb began to shape and mutates into different forms: once a square, then a cube, then a Sphere, and an ellipsoid, until the thing finally settled as a weird shape Baron never saw before, a Great Arrow with a Giant, round tip and a very short tail, so short that in fact, the tail feathers which looked like they're made of some metal almost met the tip, This bizarre Object Made Baron stop in confusion "what is this thing ?",
Görbbe, laughed like a lunatic with that "thing" above his head
"My dear Baron, You have passed every test I made for you successfully , so successfully that it became a test no more, I am fighting you as my veins are flowing with joy and excitement, this is the last strike, Consider it as a gift of my gratitude, I present to you, THE GREAT MAGIC NUKE !!!"
Baron Laughed hysterically before that 'great magic nuke' that Görbbe was holding,
"you're a maniac, Görbbe Mannors, if this was your last strike, don't you dare miss, Go ahead !! Entertain me !!" he said before he ran in the speed of light right at where Görbbe was planning to land,
Görbbe held the great Magic nuke with his hands and plunged into the ground, The Two lunatics collided right where the Detonation occurred,
BOOM!!
A loud sound of Explosion disturbs the silence of the Rift world, And colossal, glowing, blue mushroom cloud covered the city towering the sky, Every building was ATOMIZED in every direction within the eyesight,
In that night, an entire city that no human knew exists was blasted away within 17 seconds, However, No casualties were recorded.
