Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Bella persistently implored the detective for her release; however, they declined her request, stating that Mrs. Joy had compensated them for this action. Overcome with emotion, Bella began to weep and took out her phone to contact her father, who was working in Mexico.

Clark struggled with guilt regarding the situation between him and Bella, and he was profoundly saddened by the events that transpired. Upon arriving home, he felt unable to communicate with anyone. His younger sister, Annie, approached him while he sat alone on the balcony, showing him a trending video depicting Bella's arrest at the hands of their mother.

Clark felt an overwhelming sadness as he watched the video, lamenting, "I could not even intervene; what type of fool am I?" Annie, deeply moved by her brother's distress, embraced him in a comforting hug.

Mrs. Valerie reached out to her husband, requesting that he send funds to secure Bella's bail. Upon hearing this, Bella's father was taken aback and struggled to comprehend that his innocent daughter had been arrested for an unknown crime. Distressed, he contemplated traveling from Mexico, but Mrs. Valerie reassured him that Bella would be alright.

Despite sending money, the police refused to release Bella, stating she was not eligible for discharge. This refusal infuriated Mrs. Valerie, leading her to express her outrage towards the authorities. Meanwhile, Mrs. Jane intervened, advocating for Bella's release due to her husband's involvement.

Mr. Frank, not harboring any resentment towards Bella, expressed sympathy for her plight. Ultimately, Mrs. Jane had no choice but to facilitate Bella's release. The authorities notified Mrs. Valerie to cease her complaints, as Mrs. Jane had made the necessary arrangements for Bella's release. Upon receiving the news, Mrs. Valerie was overwhelmed with emotion, rushing to embrace her daughter.

Reunited in tears, Bella and her mother shared a heartfelt moment before Mrs. Valerie decided to take Bella to a nearby clinic for evaluation. At the clinic, Bella was prescribed paracetamol for her headache. Mrs. Valerie then brought Bella home and instructed her daughters to prepare a meal for their exhausted sister.

Upon their return home, Bella's siblings, who had been awaiting their arrival, rushed to check on them once they saw Bella and Mrs. Valerie. Kira, the second child, offered to assist her mother in bringing Bella inside, while the younger siblings busily prepared dinner.

Inquiring about the outcome of the situation, Kira asked, "Mother, how did it go?" Mrs. Valerie promptly advised her not to ask questions at that moment, prompting Kira to remain silent.

Bella, feeling both hungry and fatigued, was brought to the dining table, where she ate voraciously. Her siblings empathized with the challenges Bella had faced, and Kira vowed to confront Kim, whom she considered at fault in this incident.

Upon learning of Bella's release, Clark felt a surge of joy. Although Yvonne attempted to contact him, he chose not to answer, leaving her displeased by his lack of response.

The following morning, Bella did not attend school due to feeling unwell and having a mild headache, opting instead to stay home. Clark went to school and checked Bella's class but did not find her. Yvonne noticed him peering into the classroom and remarked, "Oh, look who is here, searching for someone." Clark, feeling exasperated, brushed past her after shaking her off and warned her to keep her distance.

Kim noticed Bella's absence and experienced guilt for not reaching out to her good friend or defending her during the incident. Yvonne approached Kim, inquiring about her well-being, to which Kim pretended to ignore her. Yvonne then took Kim's hand and insisted, "You cannot pretend forever; everything will turn out fine."

Sam informed Yvonne to take her seat as the teacher was approaching. She hurriedly complied. When the teacher arrived, he announced an upcoming examination, urging all students to prepare.

Kim intended to reach out to Bella due to their previous misunderstandings but ultimately refrained. Meanwhile, Clark's friends questioned him regarding Bella's presence at school, to which he responded that he had not seen her. Caleb remarked on the humiliation Bella endured because of her mother's actions, eliciting a gasp from David.

Bella became the topic of discussion within the school, and students continued to talk about her situation. She discovered a message in the school group stating the examination was scheduled to begin the following day. The examination timetable had been made available to the school board. Bella felt disappointed that her friends had not checked on her; however, she chose to move forward and committed herself to studying diligently for her exams.

Kira entered Bella's room to inquire, "Hello, sister, what are you doing?" Bella replied, "I am studying for the exams, which are tomorrow." Kira was displeased to see her sister in this state.

Bella experienced a complex emotional response, characterized by both happiness and guilt, concerning her mother's actions, as she continued to have unresolved feelings for Clark.

Clark endeavored to initiate contact with Bella, who was unresponsive. Upon arriving at school, Bella entered with a slightly improved mood, though she quickly became aware of her peers' scrutiny as she made her way through the academic building. Undeterred by their attention, she confidently navigated the hallways.

Clark subsequently confronted her and escorted her to the basketball court.

In a moment of vulnerability, Bella appealed to Clark, stating, "Please, Clark, I do not wish to endure any more troubles.

How long must I continue to suffer?" Clark responded with reassurance, proclaiming that no matter the circumstances, he would always love and cherish her. As they locked eyes, their shared sentiments became apparent.

He embraced her around the waist, and they exchanged a passionate kiss.

During this encounter, Yvonne observed mixed emotions of sadness and disappointment. She recorded their interaction and forwarded the video to Clark's mother.

Clark took Bella's hand, assuring her of his unwavering support.

Together, they left the basketball court, prompting gossip among their fellow students, including the remark, "Despite all the embarrassment, she still chose to be with him; what a shame. It confirms my belief that she is merely a golddigger."
