Chapter 2 - Episode 2

First 3 chapters are just going to be him figuring out his boons/gifts that the ROB gave him.

—--------

I was shocked to say the least when I opened my eyes only to realize I was in a comfy bed with football posters all over. I could feel the warmth of the room and it felt a little refreshing, my lungs and bodily functions working like normal human beings. My limbs and body were kind of tiny so I guessed I was reborn in the body of someone younger.

I smiled to myself, every little thing that came upon me was like a blessing to me. The sweet aroma of the air and the feeling of having my body no a body back was just so perfect. If I probably didn't have some respect for other people I would have started screaming and yelling out of happiness. You know you got to let it out sometimes.

When I finally stopped adoring my body (not in that weird way) I looked around and saw the football posters all around me. It looked kind of similar back when I was younger, mostly with Cr7 and Messi posters. However, unlike mine this was mostly populated with one player(instead of two) Noel Noa.

I'm not sure if a similar player existed in the real world, maybe Giroud or something but he certainly wasn't considered anywhere near Ronaldo or Messi.

Other than the football posters there were a bunch of football related stuff in the rooms such as boots and other things. A desk with a book that seemed almost untouched and a messy bed which I had not yet cleaned up.

Looking around, I was impressed with the kids' choice of fashion. Even though there wasn't any nike or adidas in this world he had products which I assumed were basically the replica of them. Like how in mob they had mobdonalds instead of the mac.

Some people might say that was a real basic fashion sense but back in elementary we don't talk about the drip I had on. Absolute ass and everything was offbrand. The only thing I remember was having an lv beanie (I was one of the lucky ones) and flexing it off until it got stolen because of my foolishness (A/N: True story this one).

"Yuu-chan come down the stairs!" were the sudden words that disrupted my thoughts from the fashion fest in my mind.

Before I could even react, I was assaulted by a bunch of memories of Isagi being called Yuu-chan by his mother.

"Come quickly I made your favourite!" my now mother called out.

For a second time I was assaulted by memories but this time it was by Kintsuba. I guess it was now my favourite food as well.

But judging from these two interactions it seemed that I needed certain words to triggered Isagi's memories from before I usurped his body. I'm guessing that didn't span to other things like shoes and clothing since I would have gotten memories by looking at his dead adidas boots. (A/N: Proud Nike athlete screw adidas)

Getting up from bed, I scrambled through his stuff looking for some appropriate clothing to go downstairs to eat breakfast. After finding them and putting on my slippers so I wasn't bare footed while walking downstairs. (A/N: I don't know what japanese people do so as a proud american I'm going to develop them)

Reaching downstairs and washing my hands and seeing the sweet white creamy kintsuba. My mouth started watering.

Instinctively I said "Thanks so much mom!!" I didn't even mean to say that but I guess that makes the act even better. The thing is I don't even feel bad because I had his memories so it feels like I was Isagi.

"No problem Yuu-chan enjoy your breakfast," she replied back while smiling, it was that type of smile that a parent does when they see their child happy.

I remember that she had forgotten to buy a birthday cake for me or Isagi whoever you want it to be, and she made this for me ever since he's been in love with it.

After finishing the plate, and leaving it in the sink for my parents to wash. I asked them if I could go to the park.

"Sure you can go to the park, just make sure to come back soon,"

I just nodded and walked out to enter the park. As said previously, words triggered memories so now I knew where to go.

After arriving there, I realized I forgot to take a football. So now I had to run back and retrieve it.

"I was wondering where you were going without your football," my mom teased.

All I could do was smile and go towards where the ball was and returned back to the park (A/N: Word counts are a must)

I went towards the cage part of the park where the basketball hoop and soccer goals were, although the ground was concrete it was such a goated part of growing up and playing sports. And as usual the basketball hoop was broken.

But surprisingly, there were a few kids here, at 8:50. I mean if they were playing soccer from 9am everyday then they would probably be some kind of japanese messi's. Or maybe I'm doing too much. I mean these were 11 year olds.

Just honestly surprised that they were playing at this time already.

"Isagi, where have you been? We've been waiting for so long!" One of them said, looking at me with a surprised and excited look.

"Who cares!? Let's play soccer!" I replied back. My times with these kids seemed a bit interesting.

Since it was the summer break, we had promised that we would come and play football everyday from 9am but it seemed that all of them couldn't wait for that time so they usually came early.

One of them was Akira, he was really hot-headed. It was a big crash-out like saying something about him and you should be getting ready for your fingers to be broken. Surprisingly he was the best player here.

The other one was Yagami, he was kind of smart and is like an unselfish passer who wouldn't even shoot if there was an open goal.

Kaito… Kaito, the only way to describe him was perfect. All his skills were up to match and where you would expect of an academy player. There are debates whether him or Akira are better. Most people say Kaito but I think their decision was clouded by how much they don't like Akira. He's like the group leader.

Cho, is really just an outgoing guy, he's just someone who's really talkative and really sociable but on the pitch he is quiet and focused.

But out of all of them, I would say that I was the weakest one for now. But I still need to find out the boons he gave me. It is out of luck that they are doing this everyday and I actually came to the park and can play a match.

"Let's start!" Cho screamed in excitement.

"The teams are me and Cho vc Isagi Akira and Yagami," Kaito said calmly with that aura.

"Of course we start because it's a 2 v 3."

I couldn't argue with that.

As soon as Akira started with the ball he went straight for a shot from the halfway point and surprisingly it went in.

"It's just stuff he does," Yagami spoke while sighing.

"It's light, just give me the ball and everything will be fine," Akira retorted with confidence.

Jeez, how did blud not enter blue locke with that ego. In fact, if Ego had found this guy, blue lock wouldn't be a thing.

The thing is when you say something like that, you have to have the skill to back it up, and Akira is the best player out of all of us. But that is only as an individual, in terms of in-game and who would win it would probably be Kaito due to his chemistry with his team.

"I get that but its not only about you," Yagami replied back.

"Give me the ball, I won't say it again.. Be a good midfielder and pass the ball to the best player," Akira said with a deep anger in his voice.

How did he get rage-baited by something that wasn't rage-bait? Oh well, someones gotta break his bubble.

I stole the ball from Yagami's feet before he could pass it to Akira.

"Sorry but he's right, if you are the best player here then you better get the ball all by yourself!" I said while smiling. I had no clue what I would do to get past Cho.

Whenever he entered the pitch he was focused to the max and was no longer a sociable dude, but I could use that against him. How much does his focus span, clearly not two people.

"Yagami, one two!" I yelled out towards him while passing it to him. He seemed to be surprised by the order but complied anyway.

I passed it to him and he lobbed it over once I had gotten past Cho and now the final line of defence was Kaito, the perfect player.

Before I could even think of anything he had closed up on me and had slowed down my momentum all in a second.

There was no way around him, dribbling wasn't an option and Yagami was still behind me so if I passed it behind then Cho could intercept it.

"What are you gonna do Isagi! You can't shoot or pass and your dribbling is horrible!" He said with a deep smile on his face, that type that showed a complete victory.

I looked around for space and what I saw turned my blood cold. It was Akira waiting for me to pass the ball in the perfect position for me to pass and also in the perfect position to score.

He gave me a death-stare without much of a thought.

 I passed it to him.

"Thanks for that!" He screamed, equalising the score.

"I expected more from you Isagi but at the end of the day you were just a dog to Akira," Kaito said with a slight frown on his face.

"Eat your words Isagi," Akira said, "what was that about getting the ball all by yourself? I guess I am the best one here!" he finished.

I wasn't really bothered by their insults but what I saw for a brief second. I could see what was behind me without even looking beside me.

In fact, I was able to visualize the entire field without even focusing on it. How did Akira even know I was going to pass to him?

That death stare looked more calculating than threatening. It seemed like he was wondering whether or not I could see him or not.

Akira knows more than he lets on and I also think I have metavision. But there is no way Akira unlocked metavision at 11 or 10.

"No, it's fine because I've learnt something, I understand it now!" I said to myself.

Metavision is just using your peripheral vision to read the play and calculating the movement based on that. It's all about predicting and Isagi's natural ability to look for space made the ability more deadly than the normal one.

I'm guessing that one of the boons I got was metavision.

Anyway, I need to focus at the match.

Kaito passed the ball to Cho, they proceeded to do tiki-taka with each other, and it got past Yagami but with metavision you can notice the pattern.

I wanted to test if Akira had the same vision as me. I started to close the lanes and see if he could understand what I was trying to say.

Kaito, seeing that he couldn't pass to Cho, started to chuckle.

"Passing and shooting isn't the only thing I can do," he repositioned his foot and started to dribble past Yagami again.

"Checkmate," I murmured.

After getting past Yagami, the player that was next to him was Akira, his equivalent.

Seeing that Akira had somehow followed my patterns, I don't know whether he realized but chose not to follow due to being stubborn. But he got the end message.

Behind the calm and perfect character of Kaito, was a player that was determined to show that he was the best. That was why While Akira was busy attacking he wasn't passing he was trying to get past.

It was enough time for me and Akira to double team him and get the ball.

"Pass me the ball," Akira said calmly. I slowed down dribbling giving time for Kaito catch up but before he could tackle I passed it to Yagami.

Kaito had seemingly lost determination so all the defending was done by Cho. Yagami dribbled to the side of the pitch and crossed it.

Thankfully, I had predicted this by seeing how he likes to lob the ball or rather give passes that are up and above the ground. So he must thrive in areas that give him a lot of space like the side of the pitch.

He could be a good right winger.

Cho was marking Akira tightly so the ball landed neatly on my fight and I volleyed it. The ball rebounded off the metal net.

It seemed that I had a direct shot as well. Did I basically just have NEL Isagi's powers?
