Poem 3: La Pantera and the Spider
La Pantera paces, nervous and tight,
Eyes darting quick in the fading light.
"I'm scared of spiders," she admits with a sigh,
"But I learned to look closer, to give them a try."
Sometimes the things that make us afraid
Are just little bugs in the shade.
Not beasts or monsters, not shadows that bite,
Just creatures trying to live in the night.
So when fear creeps in, don't run away,
Look closer, listen, don't let it stay.
Because sometimes the smallest, the quiet, the shy,
Are just misunderstood, not reasons to fly.
Parody Song 3: Don't Stop Believin'—in the Cartel Cats
(Parody of "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey)
Just a small-town cat, living in the barrio,
Took the midnight bus going anywhere.
Just a city cat, born and raised in shadows,
Hiding from the world's cold, hard stare.
Strangers waiting, up and down the alley,
Their stories weaving through the night.
Working hard to find a little kindness,
Holding on to hope and light.
Chorus:
Don't stop believin' in the Cartel Cats,
Hold on to that feeling, five minutes is all it takes.
Don't stop believin' in the Cartel Cats,
Face the fear, share your story, and watch the darkness break.
Felicia's voice calls out from the bench,
"Mis hijos, listen close and true.
Every scar, every story, every whispered secret,
Is a part of the strength in you."
Chorus:
Don't stop believin' in the Cartel Cats,
Hold on to that feeling, five minutes is all it takes.
Don't stop believin' in the Cartel Cats,
Face the fear, share your story, and watch the darkness break.
