Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 1

Chapter One:

Shadows of the ThroneThe moon hung low over the fortress of Eldoria, casting long, silver shadows across the cold stone walls. Inside the grand hall, Queen Isolde paced like a caged lioness, her eyes burning with a desperate fire. Tonight was the night she would change the fate of her kingdom—and her own.

Outside the palace gates, the city was restless. Whispers of rebellion stirred among the common folk, and the nobles whispered behind closed doors, questioning the queen's power. Isolde's barrenness was no secret, and without an heir, her influence waned with each passing day.

Suddenly, a sharp clang echoed through the hall. The queen stopped, her breath catching. Guards burst through the doors, their armor gleaming under torchlight. "Your Majesty," one whispered urgently, "the border scouts have reported movement near the neighboring kingdom of Valeria. They say a child was born there five days ago."

Isolde's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Then tonight, we take what is ours."

The AbductionUnder the cloak of darkness, a small band of elite soldiers, handpicked by the queen herself, slipped across the border into Valeria. Their mission was clear: retrieve the infant prince and bring him back to Eldoria—no questions asked.

The Valerian palace was quiet, the newborn's cries muffled by the night. Inside the nursery, the child slept peacefully, unaware of the storm approaching. As the soldiers moved swiftly, a sudden noise shattered the silence—a guard had discovered them.

Steel clashed in the nursery's shadows. One soldier fell, but the others fought with ruthless precision. The queen's orders were absolute: the child must be taken at all costs.

"Grab him!" the leader hissed, snatching the baby from his cradle. As they fled, alarms blared, and the palace erupted into chaos. Valerian soldiers poured into the halls, but the raiders vanished like ghosts into the night.

Political IntrigueBack in Eldoria, the queen held the child aloft before the court. "Behold, the future king!" she declared, her voice echoing through the chamber. The nobles exchanged uneasy glances; some bowed, others clenched fists behind their backs.

Among them stood Lord Malric, a powerful noble with eyes like a hawk. "Your Majesty," he said coldly, "this child is not of Eldoria. To claim him as prince is to invite war."

Isolde's gaze hardened. "War is inevitable, Lord Malric. Better to control the throne than be crushed by it."

The First BattleWeeks later, the tension exploded into violence. Valerian forces, enraged by the abduction, marched on Eldoria's borders. The queen's army, though outnumbered, stood ready.

On a blood-soaked dawn, steel met steel in the Valley of Ashes. The air was thick with the clash of swords and the cries of the fallen. Among the chaos, a young warrior fought fiercely—Prince Kaelen, the stolen child, now a teenager trained in the art of war.

Kaelen's blade danced through the enemy ranks, his every strike precise and deadly. But as he fought, a nagging doubt gnawed at him—a strange familiarity with the Valerian banners he faced.

Amidst the carnage, Lord Malric approached the queen. "Your Majesty, the people grow restless. They whisper that the prince is a pawn, a symbol of deceit."

Isolde's eyes flashed. "Then let them whisper. The throne is mine to command, no matter the cost."

A Kingdom DividedAs the battle raged, Kaelen's heart was torn between loyalty to Eldoria and a mysterious pull toward a land he had never known. The seeds of doubt were planted, and the path ahead was shrouded in shadows.

In the distance, a figure watched silently—a beautiful woman whose eyes held secrets that could change everything. Their destinies were entwined, but the road to truth would be perilous.
