A heavy storm poured over a small mountain, and hidden within was a bunker guarding a secret lab.
Suddenly, a protocol was triggered: a capsule opened, and from it emerged a battered and malnourished young man.

As he tried to stand up, he stumbled and accidentally pressed a button. A tape began to play on a nearby TV.

—Hey, hey… umm, if you're watching this, then this recording is meant for you, N1. You're one of the ten superhumans I created. Each of you has a unique gift. Your mission is to save humanity, which is now on the edge of total extinction. There's only one thing that can help you: the Divine Rings. They'll guide your path, but you'll have to find them. Right next to you are weapons and supplies. Head outside and good luck. Oh, I should also tell you that…

Even though N1 knows what he has to do, he keeps wondering what that last part was supposed to say.
He gears up with food and weapons, but just as he's about to leave, he feels like something is watching him and—
—BOOM!
A huge blow shakes the bunker as a monstrous creature attacks. N1 leaps out of the way, realizing he just pulled off something not quite human.
—Whoa… that was insane —he says, stunned.
—Holy sh…!
—BOOM!
The creature keeps attacking. At one point, it lets out a scream so loud it stuns N1, and the monster charges in.
Right before getting hit, N1 spots a weapon and fires a powerful laser, blowing the creature's arm off.
—BZZT!—
The beast struggles, but with a final shot to the head, it explodes into hundreds of chunks of flesh.
N1 recovers and realizes he's not in a normal world—but he's excited for the adventure ahead.
He steps outside and sees a ruined but vibrant world, filled with nature. After taking it in, he checks his map and sets course toward a ruined U.S. city for shelter.
But something's off—the place doesn't match the map.
—Man… I don't get it. I'm lost…
Wandering in circles, N1 stumbles upon some beautiful ruins. They're not modern—they look ancient. Curious, he goes in.
After hours of walking, he reaches a chamber with ten glowing, powerful rings.
He puts them on one by one… but when the last one is on, a searing pain hits him, and he collapses, dying instantly.
But then the rings begin to glow, and hundreds of souls surge into his dying body, reviving him. N1 realizes he's alive again—thanks to the rings. But he has no idea how they work.
Still, he moves on, eventually reaching a city full of horned, terrifying beings.
One of them attacks him. It's a demon named Licia—and she says she's going to kill him.
N1 pulls out his weapons, but they're useless. Just before the blow lands, a sword materializes in his hand, and he blocks the strike.
Licia is stunned. N1 doesn't hesitate—he slashes her.
—How… how did you do that?
—This ends now.
—Slash! —a clean cut finishes the demon.
He quickly leaves to avoid more attention. But then, the demon's essence reforms before him—as a teenage girl.
N1 hesitates, then asks:
—Hey… girl… who are you?
—Umm… I… I don't know…
He realizes she's the same demon—but she has no memory. That's a relief. At least she won't try to kill him again.
Calmer now, he convinces her to come along using a simple excuse:
—Hey, I've got an idea. Help me on my journey, and I'll protect you in return.
—Umm… I don't know… you don't seem very trustworthy.
—Fine. Then go back to those terrifying demons.
—What demons?! —she panics.
—Aha! Okay, okay! You win—just get me out of here!
—Haha. Easier than stealing candy from a baby.
Night falls.
As darkness sets in, they decide to rest.
Soon, they hear footsteps. Licia checks it out—same creatures N1 fought earlier are attacking. He rushes in with his sword, blocks the blows, and they fight together.
—Licia, cover me! I'll hit them head-on!
—Got it!
—Slash! Plak! Boom!
In the middle of the chaos, a giant version of the creatures throws them off a cliff and into a river.
By morning, N1 and Licia find each other again, relieved the fight is over. They walk and talk.
—Well… guess it all ended okay.
—Yeah. I lost my weapons, but with these rings, we'll be fine.
—Hey, what are you looking at? —she asks as N1 stares into the distance.
A stunning view comes into sight: a sanctuary where elves live.
—You thinking what I'm thinking?
—Yeah… let's go.
Together, Licia and N1 head toward the elven sanctuary, looking for shelter…
