I woke up to silk sheet, a strangers room and a ring on my finger i dont remember saying yes to.
My head was pounding like kind of drugged i drank. There were roses beside my bed . red too red . that my sister use to hate.
And then suddenly voice came from behind.
"You are awake mrs knight".
That voice Smooth like wine and cold like betrayal.
I turned my head and saw him.
The man i swore I'd kill. The man who was supposed to marry my sister the night she died. The man i watched walked out of the hotel, alone,hours before they found body cold and blue.
"Dont called me that". I whispered.
My throat hurt. God! What did they give me?
He smile slowly and dangerously.
"Too late we are already married. Paper's work done ! Your singnature there"
"You forget it. You signed it while laughing,right after kissing me. Dont remember?".
"I didn't not a single goodamn thing".
But i remembered her. I remembered sophia
Her lifeless face. Her blood under his fingers nails.
I sat up ignoring the spinning room, and locked him dead in the eye.
"If you think i am going to play the house with the man wo murdered my sister, you're more psychotic than you look"
He leaned forward and said.
"Then why did you beg me to marry you mira?
"Liar"
"Monster"
"Liar ?? Me? Seriously mira?, you came to my office and told me you can do anything to be mrs knight? Didn't you?"
"I want answers. She said. And you are hiding them !"
He stepped closer and said
"You think i killed your sister? Voice calm but sharped. "So you marry me?" . "hopping i'd confess over dinner?"
"I dont know what i believe. But i know something is wronggggg". She shouted. "And you are the only one who was with her the night she died".
His jaw tightened.
Mira looked away. Her voice shook now."i had to do something. She was my sister. I couldnt just watch..her die and forget"
"You should've". Xavier said clodly.
"Because whatever you are looking for... It wont save her life but it might destroy you"
He turned his back.
Mira frozed. Her hands were trembling at her sides.
But she didnt came here to be safe. She came for the truth.
And she would find it even if it killed her.
Mira was emotinally exploring the mansion but every part hurts her. The curtains sophia bought, the bed, and the furniture.
Mira sit on bed. Her legs were trembling. Her eyes are catching those red flowers. Red too red.
"I will find out what happened to you". she whispered.
"Even if i have to sleep beside your killer and make fake smile".
"Mam! Your dinner is ready". Said by the maid.
She dont want to dinner with xavier even this is a first day of their marriage and she knows Xavier also dont want to.
She stand up and opened the drawer beside her bed. She found a sohpia's broken mobile which she took from the hospital and no one knows.
"Ahh plz unlock. I still trying to unlock since 1
days". mira said while crying slowly.
Only one battery remaining and one notification was showing at the bottom of the phone....
"Dont trust anyone. Even him ...see more.. ".
She clicked on the button see more but before she touched ...,the phone death.
Mira's hands were shaken, this notification was 2 days before Sophia died.
"I promise sopiha i Will find out the truth and take your revenge''. She said disappointly.
"Mira! Mira! Are you here? Its dinner time". Xavier gasped.
"I dont want to eat anything i am full". she murmured.
Xavier leaves her alone as she told him to but one thing still hurts her. Her sister, her sister's killer, who is behind it at all?. She was totally broke.
"Wake up why are putting your face in the pillow".xavier choked out the words.
She didn't move. her fingers were tightened around the edge of blanket. Xavier snatch the balnket and saw mira crying.
"Why are you crying mira? Mira? Stop crying honey". xavier pleaded. He saw mira was crying so badly. He hugged her tightly.
"Mira plz dont cry like that". Xavier breathed.
"I-I just saw very bad dream". Mira cried.
Xavier wants to hugged her but he knows mira dont like this at all."Stop crying mira i dont want to see you in this condition!".
"My condition?. If you cant see me in this condition how can you see my sister's terrible condition huh? . she yelled.
"Mira dont blame me! Mira please. I am not behind this at all" . "you just saw me comming out from the hotel not doing murderer naa?'
"I am not blamimg you ! I just saw you comming out from the hotel and you were the only one which sophia with at that hotel. Only you were there with my sister the night she died!". mira yelled.
"I know about your pain and i know you really want to know who is this behind all this matter. And i wil promise i will make sure to protect and support you!". Xavier said gently.
Xavier tried to hugged her but before he came more closer.... Mira stand up and muttered." Xavier i cant do this till i know the truth.. Even i didnt know when we were married... I didnt even remember a single goodamn". she said that she will do anything to find out even if her marrige broke.
whenever mira looked at him,one thing burned inside her- the truth.
How could she live under the same roof with the man who once claimed to lobe her sister but now called her as a wife?
Every moment beside hum felt like betrayal. Mira was too confused who was actually behind this all.
I need answers she told herself again and again. I need to know what really happen to sophia even if it means breaking my self to find out.
