As he swept the floor of the storage room, Naruto Uzumaki muttered to himself. "Why am I always stuck with the shitty cleaning duties?" It was a dark, quiet room with spiderwebs and old boxes. Although it was meant to be a punishment, it was largely dull. Until his broom struck a solid object. Clunk. Naruto hesitated. It wasn't a rock. He knelt down and pryed open a loose floorboard out of curiosity. A scroll, old, cracked, and sealed with an unrecognizable bronze wax symbol, lay beneath it, covered in dust and dry cloth. "Unusual... Not a Leaf emblem. Carefully, he opened the scroll. It seemed as though the paper would tear. The page was filled with strange symbols and curved markings that were not found in the academy textbooks. Most of it was nonsensical.
With the exception of a single, distinct line: "Below the Ashen Stone, the Library Lives." Naruto blinked. "What on earth does that mean?" The wax seal suddenly broke and fell apart by itself. The scroll had a slight glow. Through the sealed room came a blast of cold air. For a brief moment, strange writing flickered across the scroll before disappearing. Startled, Naruto leaped back. "No. Not typical. Certainly not typical. He had no idea what he had just discovered. However, an old candle went out far from the village. An ANBU in a mask looked around. And for the first time in decades, the stone beneath Konoha moved. The scroll wasn't simply left behind. It waited. And now it was awakened by Naruto.
