Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Equation of Dream and Reason

The feeling of awe and excitement from his last dream still simmered in Zen's heart. The image of Xu Yianzi being able to turn "thought" into tangible "power" was the "proof" he had been waiting for. As soon as his thoughts were collected, he wasted no time in making a direct call to the one person he trusted and who had the capability to make this theory a reality.

(Holographic Call) Zen (with excitement): "Zaria! I think I've found it... A way to create a new power source that surpasses fusion... It's about the runes I told you about, but this time... I saw clear 'evidence' that it's real! I... can I borrow your underground research lab?"

The other end of the line was silent for a moment. Zen could sense a slight hesitation in Zaria's eyes.

Zaria (replying with a more serious tone): "Zen... this is bigger than you think. The underground lab is a top-level restricted area for the company... But... I understand how important this is to you. Send me all the preliminary theoretical details you have first. I'll take it to my father. If he approves, I'll contact you immediately."

Zen's heart sank for a moment, but he understood the secrecy and importance of that place. All he could do was send her all the data he had—which was filled with images from his dreams, hypotheses, and theories that were still taking shape—and wait with bated breath.

Hours passed like an eternity, until Zaria's signal came through again.

Zaria: "Father has approved... but on one condition. He wants to see the 'potential results' for himself... Come over to my place."

Zen arrived at Zaria's familiar home, and this time, she led him through a secret security door down to the underground research center of what he now knew was Aegis Industries. The elevator descended to a dizzying depth. When the doors opened, the sight before him was a vast and advanced research center, but it wasn't empty this time. Zaria was waiting for him with two other team members.

"This is Dr. Aris, our head of Materials Science," Zaria introduced a senior man in a lab coat who was looking at Zen with an appraising gaze. "And this is Lina, our best data and AI analyst." The younger woman gave him a small nod, her eyes filled with curiosity.

At the heart of the lab, Zen began to explain his vision with enthusiasm. He projected a hologram of Xu Yianzi's training into the air and emphasized the most crucial point.

"He's just an ordinary person! Do you all understand? He wasn't born with any power, but he was able to 'create' power through understanding and belief... It's not magic, it's a science... a science whose equation we must decode!"

Dr. Aris frowned slightly. "Mr. Zen... with all due respect, this contradicts the laws of conservation of energy..."

But before he could finish, Lina interrupted with excitement. "Sir... Dr. Aris... Mr. Zen's data... the energy flow patterns he recorded are... they're too perfect. They don't look like random data at all. There's a clear 'pattern' hidden within, like a very complex programming language!"

Zaria smiled. "See? There is a possibility."

From that day on, the collaboration of the "dream team" began. Zen served as the one providing the "vision" and "data from another dimension." Zaria "translated" that vision into the equations of physics and engineering models. Dr. Aris constantly questioned and verified the material science possibilities, while Lina analyzed and decoded the complex energy patterns.

Until, finally... they succeeded.

A three-dimensional hologram of the "Runic Power Core" appeared before the research team. It was a theoretically perfect model. The energy circuits, based on runic principles, sparkled as if alive. Everyone stared at it in awe, but then Zaria zoomed in on the details of the model, her expression growing tense.

"Our theory is complete, Zen..." she said. "But the problem is 'building' it for real..."

Dr. Aris nodded in agreement. "Miss Zaria is correct... Engraving these runic circuits onto the power core requires nanometer-level precision... A single mistake, and the energy flowing through it could erupt and explode. With our current technology... the success rate might not even be 0.01%."

"So... there's nothing we can do?" Zen asked, disappointed.

Zaria turned to face him. "There might be... if we can find someone with the skill to design and engrave circuits this complex with absolute precision... Do you know anyone like that?"

Zaria's question made Zen freeze. He couldn't think of anyone on this world who could perform such a delicate task that required such a precise "touch." But then, a memory flashed in his mind...

An image from a game, where he was boasting about a new item to Karess...

(Zen's thoughts - Flashback): "Karess once complained in the game, 'Hey! The suit my family makes is way better than your legendary set! It's so silent that no sensor can detect it!' "

A suit that could evade all detection... to create something like that would require manufacturing technology and precision beyond imagination...

Zen's eyes widened. He looked at Zaria, and a new smile of hope slowly spread across his face.

"Zaria... I think... I might know someone. He might not be a scientist, but when it comes to precision in making 'special toys'... he might just be the best person in this solar system."
