Chapter 86: One Strike for Wrath
The flames above the arena twisted unnaturally, drawn inward like a dying star. The cracked dome above them pulsed with hateful energy. At its heart descended the final test—not a swarm, not a riddle, but a single being:
A fragment of Satan, Great Demon of Wrath.
It landed in silence, its feet crushing stone with no ceremony. It stood tall, broad as an armored gate, muscles veined with molten light, its eyes twin furnaces of contempt. Each breath it took exhaled a wave of heat that curled the very air around it.
Lira backed up a step, shield half-raised. Isaac did not move.
He simply raised one hand and opened his status window.

A flick of his finger called up the scan.

Isaac blinked.
"Huh."
Lira's voice was tight behind him. "What?"
"Charisma's nineteen."
She gave him a look. "Seriously?"
"I mean… the guy is built like a siege engine, and he talks like a rage elemental. Not exactly charming."
The demon straightened and bellowed.
"You dare to mock me?! I am WRATH. I have broken kings, sundered armies, turned gods into ash!"
"You face a shard of the true Satan—and I am ENOUGH."
Isaac sighed. "I'm not mocking. I'm just comparing."
He dismissed his window.
Then conjured Gravemaw into his right hand. The massive phantom blade surged with dense pressure, its jagged edge humming with hunger. He didn't speak. He didn't posture.
He walked.
Step after step, straight toward the fragment.
The demon snarled and pulled its fist back, gathering a cyclone of searing flame. But before the swing could be completed—
Isaac moved.
In a blur of force and silence, he crossed the final meters and brought Gravemaw down in a single arc.
It wasn't a complicated attack.
It didn't need to be.
The blade cleaved through the demon's torso from shoulder to hip, severing bone, core, and fury in one blow. The body held together for a single heartbeat—then split apart.
No roar. No warning.
Just finality.
The two halves collapsed to the ground and disintegrated into smoke and glowing embers. The light faded. The heat withered.
The trial was over.
Lira's voice broke the silence. "...You actually one-shot it."
Isaac didn't answer right away.
Because the system had already triggered.

Isaac let the power flow through him—hot, heavy, but perfectly under control. His muscles felt lighter. His vision clearer. His core, denser. More solid.
He rolled his shoulders.
And then whispered, almost to himself—
"Wrath… consumed."
