As missions increase in danger, Lena and Megumi are often paired together for tactical compatibility — her visual distortion and his shikigami coordination are nearly unmatched.
During one mission, Lena gets grazed protecting Megumi. For the first time, her composed mask slips.
> "If something happened to you…"
She stops, stunned by her own words.
Megumi looks at her. Quietly. Seriously.
"I'm not afraid of curses, Lena. I'm afraid of how much I'd care if you didn't come back."
And just like that, the tension becomes undeniable.
Satoru's Breaking Point
Back at Jujutsu High, Gojo corners Megumi in the hallway like a dad catching a boy trying to sneak out of his daughter's window.
"Hey Fushiguro."
"Yes… Gojo-sensei."
"You like cats, right?"
"...what?"
"Because if you break Lena's heart, I'll reincarnate you as a litter box."
Megumi just stares. Then, he bows respectfully.
"Understood."
And Gojo vanishes dramatically, but not before whispering into his phone:
"Mission: Operation Brother Eye is now upgraded to DEFCON 1."
Bonus: Nobara's Take
Nobara, somewhere behind the school:
> "Honestly, I ship it."
"But aren't you worried Gojo will flip?"
"Oh, he's already flipping. But Lena's the only one who can actually calm him down. She'll be fine. Megumi's the one in danger."
