Chapter 6 - Aftermath

Shiro trudged back to the hotel, his body aching from the intense battle with Diarmuid. As he entered his room, he collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.

"System, report," Shiro said, his voice weak.

The system's voice echoed in his mind, cold and detached. "Affirmative. Shiro, you have completed the battle with Lancer. Reward: Noble Phantasm - Impenetrable Armor."

Shiro's eyes lit up with interest. "Impenetrable Armor? What kind of Noble Phantasm is that?"

The system's voice remained unemotional. "Impenetrable Armor. B-rank Noble Phantasm. Provides defensive capabilities against attacks below B+ rank. Effective against minor Noble Phantasms."

Shiro's eyes gleamed with excitement. "That's awesome! Activate the Noble Phantasm."

The system's voice confirmed the activation. "Impenetrable Armor activated."

As the Noble Phantasm took effect, Shiro felt a surge of energy course through his body. His skin was covered in a bloody red and blue armor, its surface glistening with a faint sheen.

Shiro flexed his muscles, feeling the armor's presence. He knew that with Impenetrable Armor, he would be able to withstand attacks that would have previously injured him.

"System, what's my current status?" Shiro asked.

The system's voice responded, "Shiro's current stats: Strength - A, Speed - A, Endurance - B, Mana - Vulnerable, IQ - 126, Battle IQ - B."

Shiro nodded, familiar with his stats. However, he was concerned about his mana reserves. He knew that Impenetrable Armor would drain his mana quickly.

"System, how much mana does Impenetrable Armor drain per minute?" Shiro asked.

The system's voice responded, "Impenetrable Armor drains 5 mana per minute. Usage will vary depending on the intensity of the battle."

Shiro's eyes narrowed, calculating his options. He knew that he would need to find a way to manage his mana reserves carefully.

"System, what are my options for upgrading my mana reserves?" Shiro asked.

The system's voice responded, "Mana reserves can be upgraded through various means, including meditation, magical training, or consuming mana-restoring items."

Shiro nodded, determined to find a way to upgrade his mana reserves. He knew that with Impenetrable Armor, he would need to be able to sustain it for longer periods of time.

For now, Shiro would have to be careful about when and how he used his new Noble Phantasm. But he was determined to find a way to make the most of his newfound power.

Shiro sat cross-legged on the hotel room floor, his eyes closed as he focused on his breathing. He had switched off Impenetrable Armor, conserving his mana for the moment.

The system's voice was silent, allowing Shiro to focus on his meditation. Hours passed, or maybe it was minutes - Shiro had lost track of time.

His mind was a blank slate, his thoughts calm and centered. He was determined to upgrade his mana reserves, and meditation seemed like the best way to do so.

As he sat, Shiro felt his mana reserves slowly replenishing. It was a gentle, soothing sensation, like a warm breeze on a summer day.

Suddenly, the tranquility was shattered. A loud, jarring noise echoed through the room, making Shiro's eyes snap open.

BANG!

Shiro's eyes adjusted to the dim light, and he glanced at the clock on the wall. His jaw dropped as he saw the time - 8:00 PM.

"System, what day is it?" Shiro asked, his voice laced with surprise.

The system's voice responded, "It is the next day, Shiro. You have been meditating for approximately 24 hours."

Shiro's eyes widened in shock. He had lost track of time completely.

As he stood up and stretched, Shiro noticed a strange energy signature nearby. It was a mana explosion, and it was getting closer.

"System, what's happening?" Shiro asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

The system's voice responded, "There are Servants nearby, Shiro. It appears they are engaging in a battle."

Shiro ran towards the source of the mana explosion as fast as he could.

When he arrived, he saw Artoria Pendragon, the Saber-class Servant, and Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, the Lancer-class Servant, engaged in a fierce duel. Their Noble Phantasms clashed in a spectacular display.

Rider, Iskandar, watched from a distance, his eyes fixed intently on the duel. His master, Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi Fraulein, stood beside him, his eyes narrowed as he analyzed the battle.

Shiro's eyes scanned the scene, taking in the details. He knew that Artoria and Diarmuid were both powerful Servants, but he was curious to see how their duel would play out.

The battle raged on the battlefield, the two Servants exchanging blow for blow. Shiro watched, mesmerized, as the outcome hung in the balance.
