Evelyne's cultivation had advanced rapidly during her stay here. Weeks inside meant years beyond, and yet—her mind was not on battle.
It was on Kael.
"You're not the same," she whispered to herself.

That evening, she found him by the Moonfire Spring—barefoot, shirtless, his aura faintly glowing.
She didn't speak. Not yet.
She just watched him. The same man who had kissed her under a dying moon... now poised to become something beyond fate.
"You came back from the Vault different," she finally said.
Kael turned. "You watched the whole thing."
"And I knew," she said quietly, stepping closer, "that I didn't want to stay here while you return alone."
He blinked. "You want to leave the Sacred Pearl?"
"Just for a while. To stand with you. Not behind."
Kael reached for her hand. "The outside is full of chaos."
She smirked. "I'm not made of frost anymore. I'm fire too."
And in that silence, he understood.
Their lips met—slow and searing. Years inside the dimension had changed her body, tempered her heart. But her soul? That still ached for him.
They fell into the grass by the Spring. Moonlight burned around them as sinfire danced along their skin.
It wasn't just passion.
It was a bond reaffirmed—two paths intertwining before the next storm.
By morning, Evelyne stood at the Sacred Pearl's exit.
The others were already outside the dimension, waiting in the real world. She was the last to return.
Kael stood with her.
"You're sure?" he asked.
Evelyne nodded. "They're waiting for us. Let me be with them—with you—where it matters."
He smiled. "Then let's go home."
