Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Ulti Rampage

Onigashima – Rear Mountain Region

As the smoke cleared, a white-haired girl lay sprawled in the center of a blast crater, her body covered in wounds clearly in critical condition.

Even so, she remained conscious.

"Ow, ow, ow… damn it, I lost again!"

Gritting her teeth, Yamato rolled over and struggled to her feet, but before she could fully stand, a swarm of Beasts Pirates appeared and surrounded her.

She'd been found.

The pirates licked their blades, flashing disturbingly "friendly" smiles.

"Well well, Lady Yamato."

"Please don't resist."

"Wouldn't want to hurt you now, would we?"

Despite their threats, Yamato gripped her kanabō tightly, eyes blazing with defiance.

"You're not taking me without a fight!"

She knew exactly what getting caught meant—

Starvation.

But her body was aching, her strength nearly spent. Beating this many pirates was pure fantasy.

She had to force a way out—a blood-soaked escape.

Growl~~

Her stomach let out a loud protest.

"So hungry! So hungry!"

Yamato's eyes glowed faintly red. The craving for food, the fear of hunger—it was awakening her feral instincts.

TATAKAE!

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!"

With a roar, she charged into the crowd, swinging her kanabō wildly. A dozen pirates went flying on impact.

"AAAGGHHH!!!"

BOOM! BOOM BOOM!

Dust and chaos erupted across the battlefield. Screams echoed as pirates were sent flying through the air.

Unstoppable.

But Yamato's last reserves of stamina were fading fast—her power and reflexes visibly weakening by the second.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Suddenly, the earth shook.

"An earthquake?"

"ROOAAARRR!!!"

A beastly roar exploded through the chaos.

"Outta the way, you small fry!!"

A Spinosaurus, massive enough to dwarf buildings, rampaged through the battlefield—utterly ignoring the pirates around it.

"It's Lord Tobi Roppo!!"

"Move! You'll get crushed!!"

"Damn it!"

The pirates scattered in panic. Getting stepped on by a prehistoric Zoan wasn't something you walked away from.

You died.

The Spinosaurus roared and charged straight at Yamato.

"Tobi Roppo!"

Yamato's heart skipped. She knew full well how dangerous and relentless ancient Zoan users were.

If she got caught now—it was over.

She had to finish this fast.

Huuuuh~~

Yamato took a deep breath, tightening her grip around her kanabō. Her remaining Haki surged and coated the weapon.

Black lightning crackled around the spiked club.

In the blink of an eye, she vanished in a streak of thunder—unleashing a technique she'd secretly stolen from that bastard of a father.

"RAIMEI…"

Almost instantly, her kanabō—crackling with dark lightning—appeared beside the Spinosaurus's head. The sheer force of the blow caused the dinosaur's pupils to contract in terror.

No time to dodge.

"HAKKE!!!"

CRACK!!!

With a deafening crash, the kanabō smashed into the Spinosaurus's jaw, pulverizing its mandible and knocking out dozens of fangs.

A full-power, point-blank attack.

"RAAAGGHHH!!"

Tobi Roppo screamed, staggering as his massive body crashed sideways to the ground, raising a massive cloud of dust.

The pirates stood frozen in shock.

"Lord Tobi Roppo!!"

"Unbelievable—she took him down with one swing!"

"Well duh—she's Kaido's kid, the 'Oni's Daughter!'"

The pirates were momentarily stunned and dared not approach.

Yamato stood alone in the center of the field, trying to recover. She didn't have the energy to fight again.

Damn it!

So tired… so hungry…

Sashimi… I need sashimi… slurp~

As the dust cleared, the Spinosaurus had vanished—leaving only a bloodied, kneeling young man in a black-and-white mask.

Beasts Pirates Page One — Tobi Roppo.

"Cough, cough!"

Blood dripped from Tobi Roppo face, soaking half of it red. The sight made nearby pirates flinch.

Taking a hit like that to the head it was a miracle he was still conscious.

Ancient Zoans really are built different.

One of the pirates hesitantly asked, "Lord Tobi Roppo… you look seriously injured. Should we call medical?"

"No… it doesn't hurt at all…"

Barely able to stand, Tobi Roppo was still trying to act tough. His gaze toward Yamato was filled with wariness.

"She's still that strong even after being so badly hurt…"

She's powerful.

Even he couldn't be confident in a win.

Then, suddenly Tobi Roppo instincts screamed.

Danger. Immediate. Imminent.

But it was too late.

A shadow loomed over him.

"PEI-CHAAAAAAN!!"

Two delicate hands clamped around his neck from behind. A body pressed down on him, smashing him face-first into the ground.

Oh no. My sister.

"Pei-chan, I missed you sooo much!"

Ulti sat on Tobi Roppo back, strangling him with affection while slamming his head repeatedly into the ground.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The ground cracked.

Tobi Roppo head bounced with each impact. Already badly injured, his vision blurred rapidly.

"Help…"

Reaching out in desperation, he locked eyes with Good not far away—begging for rescue, the only one who could stop Ulti's madness.

Those hopeless eyes, that desperate hand reaching for salvation… it was almost tragic.

Good turned his head and casually started whistling.

Whistle~ whistle~ whistle~

Nothing happened.jpg

As Ulti's dutiful assistant, yes he could stop her. But her "family issues"? Not his problem.

She might turn on him next.

"You bastard, Good!!"

Tobi Roppo hand dropped. His mouth opened, and a cartoon ghost with "X" eyes floated out.

He passed peacefully.

"…Pei-chan?"

Ulti tilted her head. When she realized Tobi Roppo had lost consciousness, her eyes flared in fury.

"WHO DID THIS TO YOU!?"

You did, obviously.

Good muttered silently in his head.

"I get it now!"

Ulti's eyes locked on Yamato. "It was you, wasn't it?! How dare you knock out my sweet Pei-chan! I'll avenge him!"

"Huh? You're the one who knocked him out!"

Yamato looked bewildered, not wanting to take the blame. "If you were a little nicer to him, he wouldn't be running from you all the time!"

"BULL! I'm the most loving sister in the world!"

Ulti jumped up furiously. Her upper body arched back like a spring, and her forehead gleamed as Haki surged over it.

"You're dead! I'll never forgive anyone who hurts Pei-chan!"

Gasps echoed from the onlooking pirates.

"It's Lady Ulti's headbutt!"

Legend said her headbutt hit as hard as a cannon!

Yamato braced herself, shifting her foot back and slamming it into the ground. She gripped her kanabō and swung upward with all her strength.

In a flash—Ulti's headbutt came crashing down.

CLANG!!!

Head met club with a shrieking clang like clashing steel. A shockwave exploded outward, sending everything around them flying.

"WAAAHHH!!!"

Pirates screamed as they were blasted away.

Good braced himself, his feet rooted to the ground like anchors. He even caught the unconscious Tobi Roppo midair.

Eyes sharp, he stared at the clash.

Damn, they're strong.

Good was sturdy himself—could crush boulders bare-handed but in the Beasts Pirates he was still a mid-tier grunt.

At best, he might be promoted to a Tobi Roppo someday or become a sidekick to one of these monsters.

Thankfully, he was a transmigrator with cheats.

He instinctively rubbed his stomach, feeling the little "life" inside. A grin spread across his face.

Back on the battlefield—

"Ugh… so heavy…"

Yamato's feet were buried in the ground. The impact had torn her wounds open, blood oozing from everywhere.

Her whole body hurt.

"Hah! Looks like Lord Kaido really beat the crap outta you. Serves you right for always rebelling against him!"

Ulti sneered, ramming her forehead harder against the kanabō. Blood trickled down her brow.

DAMN! That hurt!

Her Haki was breaking.

The two pulled apart.

Ulti reached into her skirt, pulling out a long kanabō and charged again. "Give it up! I'm not giving you a break!"

"Bring it on! Who's scared?!"

Yamato's temper flared too.

CLANG! CLANG CLANG CLANG!

Their kanabōs clashed in rapid, thunderous bursts.

Meanwhile, the surrounding pirates regrouped.

Good observed both women brawling—and the pirates nearby.

Only a few Tobi Roppo-level fighters were present.

Capturing Yamato wasn't exactly high-prestige. The top brass wouldn't bother—only some junior elites showed up.

Now that Ulti had entered the fight, even the other Tobi Roppo would think twice about interfering. She was a gifted Devil Fruit user—destined for high rank in Kaido's crew.

Not worth the risk of getting on her bad side for a little glory.

Perfect.

Good smirked.

Jejeje… when these two are exhausted, I'll swoop in and claim victory.

As for whether his boss could win?

Not a chance.

Ulti was strong but only 17. Her Haki and combat skill were still average.

Yamato was at Calamity-level strength. Even injured, she wasn't someone Ulti could beat head-on.

Which meant he had the edge.

"Big Bro Good!"

Just as Good was planning the perfect combo to take Yamato down, four pirates gathered around him—waving flags and heart-shaped fans.

They were his fellow Ulti loyalists, and had arrived early to wait for her and Good.

"Lady Ulti is fighting right now!"

"It's our moment to shine!"

"Ulti Fan Support Club—ASSEMBLE!"

"Bro Good, lead us!"

The four struck exaggerated poses, like they were straight out of Dragon Ball's Ginyu Force, forming up around Good.

Their flashy antics drew countless weird looks from nearby pirates.

"…."

Good stood there in silence for 30 seconds.

If he remembered right, he had founded the Ulti Fan Support Club—and had been its very first president. No one was more into support stunts than his past self.

Curse this original body.

Sighing, he slowly raised one leg and both arms, striking a matching ridiculous pose.

"Brothers! Ready?!"

"YEAH!!!"

The four roared back.

"Follow my lead! One, two—"

Good's eyes widened with passion as he shouted with his crew:

"Lady Ulti is peerless!!"

"Lady Ulti is unmatched in brilliance!!"

"Lady Ulti is beauty incarnate!!"

Their cries echoed through the rear mountains.
