Kael's POV
I stormed through the halls of my wing, my boots echoing against the stone floors. My hands clenched into fists at my sides. The scent was unmistakable.
Another wolf had been in the human's room.
"Someone's been there," I growled to Lykos, my inner wolf. "Someone dared to enter her space."
*Her scent is mingled with another's,* Lykos confirmed, his voice a rumble in my mind. *Male. Young.*
A snarl tore from my throat. Guards stationed along the corridor stiffened, quickly averting their eyes as I passed. They knew better than to look at me when the rage was upon me.
"Who would dare?" I muttered, throwing open the doors to my private chambers.
*You know who,* Lykos replied. *Your nose works as well as mine.*
I did know. The young wolf who had escorted her to dinner last night. His scent lingered in her room, fresh and intrusive.
