Chapter 4 - Crown of Arrogance

—Where charm disarms, and rules bend at his feet.

Heinrich Von Falken University – IT Department, 11:12 AM

The air-conditioning buzzed low in the background of the pristine lecture hall. Rows of high-end digital panels glowed on the walls, and the professor's voice echoed in rhythm with the clicks of keyboards and pens scribbling away. Charts flickered across the smartboard, detailing network protocols and cyber risk analysis. But no one cared.

Because somewhere in the back row, like a misplaced king lounging in a classroom built for mortals, sat Henry Vinson. As usual, every single girl in the room had completely lost interest in the lecture.Eyes kept flicking back toward the last bench, where Henry sat in full glory—head resting against the wall, eyes closed, hoodie halfway on, and one hand lazily dangling over the desk. His fingers twitched slightly, as if even in sleep, he was restless. His bag was open, phone plugged in, screen flickering to music he wasn't listening to. His lips were slightly parted. Even asleep, he looked obnoxiously attractive.Around him sat his royal court:

Felix Arendt, humming along to a pop song in his earbuds, one foot up on the bench, sunglasses indoors because he could.

Timo Berger, scrolling through a private MMA fight video and muttering, "This guy can't punch worth shit."Jonas Klein, as usual, doodling something macabre and half-lost in his own ghost world.Maxim Reidel, trying to take notes but failing miserably every time someone near him giggled at Henry."Girls are literally taking turns staring at a sleeping man," Felix whispered with amusement, glancing around."They probably think he's dreaming about them," Timo snorted.Jonas didn't even look up. "He's probably dreaming of whiskey and burning college records."

The professor paused once to glance at the last bench, but didn't say a word. He just sighed and continued the lecture.

Why bother?Everyone knew Henry never failed. He barely attended class, barely submitted assignments on time—but every semester, he topped the internal exams. His logic scripts were flawless, his code elegant, and his viva presentations… oddly addictive. Professors had just given up trying to discipline him.

12:00 PM – After Class

The bell rang.

Students began packing up. Chairs screeched. The girls sighed as they looked back at Henry one last time before leaving. One even tried to "accidentally" drop her water bottle near his bench.Right on cue, Henry stirred. With a lazy yawn, he stretched his arms wide, hoodie slipping off his head, his golden-brown hair falling messily onto his forehead."That was the best nap of the week," he muttered, grabbing his designer sling bag and tossing it across one shoulder.

"You even snored once," Felix grinned.

"Hotly," added Timo with a smirk.Henry raised an eyebrow. "You heard that? Good. Let the world know I sleep like royalty."

He turned to his crew. "Let's go to the terrace. It's time for something far more important than this."Max blinked. "Lunch?"

"No." Henry smirked. "Freedom. We're bumping the next class."Jonas raised a brow. "What about attendance? You already missed Tuesday and Wednesday."

Henry didn't even pause as he walked past. "If it goes down, I'll pay the fine before exams. Problem solved."Felix laughed. "Damn, must be nice to be rich."Maxim followed with wide eyes. "But… you're the topper, Henry. Why would you even have to pay a fine?"Henry stopped, turned, and flashed his signature grin."Because I don't follow the rules. I write new ones."The boys hooted as they followed him out, shoulders bumping, laughter echoing.

On the terrace

Sunlight hit them hard, the breeze tousling their hair as they dropped their bags onto the ledge. Felix pulled out a portable speaker, Jonas lit a cinnamon-scented incense stick (don't ask why), and Henry leaned on the railing, watching the city stretch beneath him.Below, hundreds of students hustled from one block to another, buried in books, lost in deadlines. And here he was—untouched, unfazed, unbothered. But deep in the distance, a black car rolled past the university gates.

And a new name had just been registered into the college system…Professor Lukas Schneider.
