## Hazel's POV
"I'm keeping the baby."
The words hung in the air between us as Cherry stared at me, her eyes wide with surprise. We were alone in my hospital room, the evening shadows stretching across the walls.
"Are you sure?" Cherry asked, her voice soft with concern. "This is a huge decision, Hazel."
I placed my hand protectively over my still-flat stomach. "I've never been more certain of anything."
The past few hours had been a blur of emotions—shock, fear, doubt. But beneath it all, a fierce protectiveness had taken root. This baby was mine. A part of me. And yes, a part of Sebastian too, but that didn't change my resolve.
"What about Sebastian?" Cherry shifted in her chair beside my bed. "He's the father."
"And he never needs to know." My tone was sharper than intended. "I'm sorry, but I need you to promise me something."
Cherry leaned forward. "Anything."
"This stays between us. No one can know I'm pregnant, especially not Sebastian."
She looked torn. "Hazel—"
