In the bustling streets of London, there was a young man 18 years of age, walking through the streets. He has fiery red hair, dark yellow eyes. He's wearing a black shirt covered in a dark red leather coat. He's also wearing a pair of black pants with a chain dangling by the belt buckle, and he's wearing a pair of black timbs, and on his waist is a red deck case with the symbol of the Kagero Clan.
He is Himejima Ryuki. Though his name is Japanese, he is born and raised in England, as his father is Japanese and his mother is British. Despite the different nationalities, they were a happy family. His father works as a technical supervisor for Vanguard events, while his mother works as a baker.
As for Ryuki, he started cardfighting since he was young. And of all the clans that he picked, Kagero was the one resonated to him. And through the years, he made a name for himself as one of the best cardfighters in the country, even winning national continental tournaments at a young age.
Now, he is the top Kagero player in all of England earning the moniker "The Flame Monarch". He's also the Clan Master of the Kagero Clan in the entire United Kingdom and he is 2nd in the Vanguard Euro-league. He was the best, until Kai Toshiki came around. After Ryuki's defeat, he and Kai got along very well, and became rivals in the pro scene.
With their rivalry, Ryuki met the rest of Kai's former team, Q4. Which consists of Tokura Misaki, an Oracle Thinktank/Genesis user, and she manages a cardfight shop in Japan. Katsuragi Kamui, one of the top Nova Grappler users in Japan and currently a high school student. And lastly, Sendou Aichi. A kind and reserved boy that uses the Royal Paladin/Gold Paladin Clan, and he's a college student studying overseas.
Ryuki's relationship with Q4 is quite good. Kamui called him his rival as Ryuki beat him effortlessly. Ryuki and Misaki got along well in mostly regarding business matters. And for Aichi, the two feel like they are brothers, knowing that both of them wield PSYQuallia. And has been coming to Japan a few times.
As he was walking through the busy streets, he stopped as he felt something was off.
"This feeling....something's not right." Ryuki looked around as he noticed that the world around him started to freeze, as if time has stopped.
"Is this like Gyze all over again?" Ryuki thought to himself as he remembered the times he fought for the sake of the world. From GIRS Crisis, to Stride Gate. Assisting in the Diffrider incident and the Zeroth Dragons. Speaking of Zeroth Dragons, Ryuki is the current holder of one of the Zeroth Dragons. After the final battle against Gyze, the Zeroth Dragon were left without a master. So to make sure that the Zeroth Dragons cannot be used by the wrong hands, they decided to have the strongest fighter in each clan hold it, as willed by the Messiah.
Aichi is in hold of the Zeroth Dragon of Zenith Peak, Ultima. Soryuu Leon holds the Zeroth Dragon of the Distant Seas, Megiddo. Ibuki Kouji holds the Zeroth Dragon of Death Star, Stark. Anjou Tokoha holds the Zeroth Dragon of Death Garden, Zoa. Shindou Chrono has the Zeroth Dragon of the End of the World, Dust. And lastly, Ryuki hold the Zeroth Dragon of Inferno, Drachma.
The entire world around Ryuki started to shine in a bright white light. He covered his eyes as the light engulfed him. When the light faded, Ryuki looked around and he was in a open field.
"What is this place? My deck." Ryuki checked his deck case as he sees his cards were still there. "Thank goodness it's still here...so is Drachma." After checking his deck, A voice called Ryuki.
"You've finally arrived safely, Himejima Ryuki." Ryuki turned around to see where the voice came from. And right in front of him is a girl that is the same age as him, she has long maroon hair tied in twin-tails, blue eyes and she's wearing a violet shirt and a creamy white coat. She wears white pants and a pair if white shoes. And on her wrist were four different bracelets. One with a pink, violet, green and a yellow gem each.
"Judging from your tone, I can safely say that you were the one who took me here." Ryuki asked the girl with a calm tone, but not demanding. Then the girl nodded as she introduced herself.
"Yes, I did. My name is Akaba Ray. And I brought you here because I want your help." As Ray told her reason why she brought Ryuki to god knows where, the young man asked why he was specifically called for help.
"I have a lot of questions in mind, but...why me?" Ryuki asked why him of all people, but Ray clarified that he was the most suited person for the job.
"Because I was observing you the whole time. The way you fight, it's filled with passion, but no malice. You show hope in the midst of despair. And even after defeating your opponents, you show them humility and even offering them help. That's why I chose you." As Ray finished explaining, Ryuki was convinced, but he was concerned about the people who were important to him.
"Then what about my parents? My friends? I have duties as well you know?" What Ryuki pointed out us true. He has parents to return to, friends to hang out with, and a duty to uphold as the Kagero Clan's Clan Master.
"Don't worry about it. Because what I'm about to do now will surely make them convinced." Ray swiped her hand as everything around them started to change.
"What I'm about to show you, your family and friends will also see it as well. Is that alright with you?" Ray asked Ryuki and the young man nodded in reply. Ray then turned around as she began her story. "Now, this is the history of Duel Monsters, and how I ended up here in the first place."
It took hours for Ray to show the full history of Duel Monsters. Ryuki's face turned pale as he found out that the darkness around the game was darker than he thought it would be. He felt like the fight he had with Gyze back then was lukewarm compared to Tsukumo Yuma and his friends defeating Don Thousand to save the entire universe. Or Fudo Yusei defeating Z-One to save the future.
Then Ray started telling the story of the four dimensions. How it was only one to begin with, now divided into four. Her father Leo's obsession with reuniting the dimensions, and the fall of Zarc, the man she once loved, into madness.
Ray then showed how Zarc got consumed by darkness and the destruction of the original dimension. All the death, the destruction, all of it made Ryuki felt uneasy, And so does his parents and the rest of Q4 who were also watching as well.
Then Ray showed how Zarc was defeated, now Ryuki understood why there were 4 bracelets on Ray's wrist. Then she showed the aftermath of the disaster, the original dimension was split into four dimensions, representing every summoning method: Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and lastly Standard, where all 3 summoning methods are used.
Ryuki thought that all is well, but what Ray showed was the most horrifying thing that he has seen. Her father, Akaba Leo and Academia from the Fusion Dimension had invaded the Xyz dimension without warning and destroyed everything in its path. And to put the nail in the coffin, Ryuki saw the Academia duelists turning civilians into cards, while laughing like it was nothing. And that made Ryuki's PSYQuallia activate.
After calming down, Ray finished showing everything. Then she looked at him one more time if he is ready to commit to the mission. "Now that you've seen it all, are you willing to commit to the cause?"
Ryuki looked at the girl as he showed her sympathy. All the sacrifice that she made to save all dimensions have turned to nothing. She looked at her one more time and Ryuki steeled his resolve.
"Very well, I accept. After all I've seen, what your father has done to the xyz dimension...he must be stopped by any means necessary."
"I'm glad that you accepted. Your friends and family seemed to agree with you. Here's what they have to say." Ray showed Ryuki what his parents and friends said after they heard that Ryuki accepted Rays request.
"Ryuki-san! Give them hell!" Kamui reached out his fist as he screamed at the sky. "Ryuki, do your best. And good luck." Misaki said as she showed a beautiful smile to Ryuki. "Don't you dare lose, Ryuki." Kai said with a smirk as he doesn't want his rival to lose to someone else than him. "Ryuki-kun, good luck." Aichi said with all of his confidence. Then his parents answers were..."Son, do your best out there. I know that it's too much for you, but I know you can do it. I'm very lucky to have you as my son." His father said with a proud smile on his face. "I know that you'll be in danger most of the time, but just know that no matter where you are, we will always be with you. I love you, my little dragon." Ryuki's mother said as she shed a tear, and that made Ryuki teared up as well. As Ryuki was crying, ray gave him a hug to comfort him.
After a few minutes of crying, Ryuki gave Ray the million dollar question.
"Now that I've calmed down, let's drag the elephant out of the room. You do know that I play Vanguard and not Duel Monsters, right?" Ray nodded as she just smiled at Ryuki. "I know, that is why I will teach you everything there is to know about duel monsters. But before we get to that, I have to give you something."
Ray opened her hand as a deck started to manifest in her hand. As the deck is finally complete, she gave it to Ryuki and asked him to look at the card. "This is the deck I've made just for you. Take a look."
Ryuki flipped the card and Ryuki was surprised to see the card.
Dragonic Overlord – "The End"

"The End? Then that means-" Ryuki looked over all the cards on his deck and it was all of his deck from his Kagero deck. He then looked at his deck case as his Vanguard version of the Kagero Clan is still there.
"You made all of this...for me?" Ryuki looked at the maroon haired girl as she nodded with a smile. "I just applied what you already know in there. So, are you ready to learn?"
"Let's do this." And with that, Ryuki's training began. Ray gave him the run down on how every card is used, gimmicks, archetypes, and everything in between, Ryuki is learning them all. Then he was taught on how every dimension works, from the standard dueling in both Fusion and Xyz, to the Riding Duels in the Synchro Dimension, and the Action Duels in Standard. After an equivalent of three weeks of training, Ryuki is finally ready to go.
"This is the portal to the Fusion Dimension. Your priority there is to save my Xyz and Synchro counterparts, Ruri and Rin. And...try to save Zarc's Fusion counterpart, Yuri if you can." Ray opened a portal that leads to the Fusion Dimension as Ray asked if Ryuki can save Yuri as a bonus. Ryuki told her that he'll try as he jumped to the portal and his new life in the world of Duel Monsters begins.
Fusion Dimension - Academia Outskirts
Ryuki had landed at Academia safely with no one noticing him. Ryuki recalled the mission layout that Ray gave him. Find a way to rescue both Rin and Ruri, and somehow save Yuri along the way. Then find a way to go to Standard as that's where he'll be getting the help he can get.
After recalling the mission objectives, he decided to take the next course of action. Infiltrate the academy and look for clues to where Ray's counterparts are.
"Good thing I learned from the Nubatama and Murakumo Clan Master about this kind of shit." Ryuki remembered the time when he was at Japan where the Clan Masters of the Murakumo and Nubatama Clan taught him Ninjutsu and the art of sneaking. He never thought that what he learned from them would put into use.
It took Ryuki a while as he arrived at the database room, where all vital information of Academia is kept. He then looked at his duel disk. Ryuki's duel disk is similar to the one that the duelists that the Standard Dimension duelists uses. It's colored crimson red with black linings. He plugged in his duel disk to the server, and normally his duel disk would be tracked immediately, but thanks to Ray for putting a firewall program, he can bypass the tracking with no problem.
And as for the security that was guarding the room, Ryuki knocked them out. All thanks to the training he got from the Nova Grappler Clan Master. As he was going through the files, he noticed something that he had to get.
"Arc Area Project? Revival Zero? This is something worth getting. Now then...let's see where Ruri and Rin are...." As Ryuki continued his search, he finally found the location. "The East and West towers huh? It'll take a lot of time, but I think I can make it work." Ryuki took off the connection as he heads to the west tower first as he's coming for Ruri first.
We go to the west tower of Academia, where we see a girl with dark violet hair was crying in her bed...well she is crying, but she's not shedding tears, that means she's already ran out of tears. Kurosaki Ruri is her name, and she's Ray's Xyz counterpart.
As she was crying, she heard a loud scream from outside. She stopped her crying as she went to see what happened outside. As she got to the gate, she saw her guard collapsed on the ground with his eyes rolled out.
"W-What happened?" Ruri asked herself as she's starting to shake. Then she sees Ryuki as his eyes were glowing white. Gathering what little courage she has, she weakly asked who he is.
"W-Who are you? What do you want from me?" Ruri was waiting for Ryuki to answer, then her legs gave out as she was on her knees.
"What if I tell you that I'm here to save you?" Ryuki simply answered. Then hope shined in Ruri's eyes. Though it's not her brother was there to save her, but the man in front of her was telling her that he's here to save her, that was more than enough for her to trust him. But doubt lingered on her mind as she doesn't know if he's an enemy or not.
"Are you with them?" Ruri asked Ryuki, but the man shook his head. "No, but I use Fusion like them. But I can be considered as a rebel to them."
"Rebel?" Ruri was shocked that the man who is trying to save her uses fusion, but her doubts faded when he mentioned that he was a rebel.
"As you can see, some people in this dimension doesn't align with Academia's goals. So my goals kinda align with them." Ryuki answered Ruri, but the Mistress of Birds wanted to ask him on what is his goal. "What is your goal by rescuing me?"
"Someone gave me a mission to rescue you and another person. And I don't back away from a mission. That's a disgrace for a Clan Master such as myself." Ryuki said as he accidentally blurted out that he's a Clan Master.
"Clan Master?" Ruri asked confused, but Ryuki made it straight to the point as he is going to break her prison. "A story for another time. But for now, step away a bit, I'm breaking you out."
Ruri took a step back as Ryuki turned his duel disk into a blade as he cut the bars like butter as the bars melted instantly. Ruri who was shocked as she saw who Ryuki broke her cell, was just staring at the gap between her cell and the outside. Ryuki reached out his hand and Ruri unconsciously grabbed his hand and both of them head out to the eastern tower where Rin is.
We go to the eastern tower where a girl with short light green hair was kept in a cell and she was pacing around. She is Kazehaya Rin, Ray's Synchro counterpart,

As Rin was walking around, she heard a shriek from outside and that was enough reason for her to run to the gate. And as she got to the gate, she saw her guard collapsed the same as before, and she sees Ruri and Ryuki outside.
"You...you look like me." Rin said without noticing and Ruri questions herself as well. "You're right...we really look alike."
"Anyway, we're here to bust you out of here." Ryuki said with confidence, but Rin is doubtful about it.
"And why should I trust you, huh?" Rin asked in a delinquentish tone, and Ryuki assured her that he can be trusted.
"Trust me, if I was your enemy, I would've beaten you where you stand. And besides, you're a part of my mission. And my mission is to save you two." And without saying anything, Ryuki cut the bars like he did with Ruri's. Rin whistled as she was impressed on how Ryuki did it. Now that Rin and Ruri are now rescued, it's time for them to leave.
The trio snuck through the academy as they try to find Rin and Ruri's duel disks are. Luckily Ryuki had a map uploaded and they finally found their duel disks. After that, they quietly left the academy as they head to the harbor to get a boat out of the island. And when they reached the harbor, all of the boats exploded as they are now stranded. And from the shadows, someone was already waiting for them.
"Well, well... trying to play hero, are we? Sorry to break your bubble but, the girls stay here."From the shadows stepped Kusakabe Yuri, a devilish grin on his face, Duel Disk gleaming violet. Seeing Yuri, Ruri stepped back as she was scared for her life and Rin was comforting her.
Ryuki stepped forward as he readies his duel disk. "I was expecting that we'll be getting away from this place easy,. But hey, what can you do. Now then, shall we?"

Then I activate my Darlingtonia Cobra's effect, I can add one Fusion Card from my deck to my hand. I add Fusion Substitute" Yuri says as he plays his cards.
The earth trembles as two sinister plants writhe into form, hissing and blooming with poison.

As Ruri saw that monster, she began to shake as Rin was still comforting her. Ryuki looked at her as she was on the verge of collapse.
"Kukuku..well now, looks like the fear that I gave her really worked like a charm. Oh well, I set a card face-down. I end my turn. Now then, let me see how my prey makes his move". Yuri said as he was licking his lips in glee, and that made Ryuki a bit disturbed.

"Here I go. Atashi no turn, DRAW!!" Ryuki drew his first card and he looked at his hand and he knew that he could work with this.

"Efficient..." Yuri scowled as he was watching Ryuki activate his monsters effect. Behind Ryuki, Ruri finally calmed down as she and Rin are watching Ryuki's duel.
"Do you think that he'll be okay?" Ruri asked Rin, but the greenete shook her head as she's not sure if Ryuki can win. "I don't know, but I can feel that he'll give us a surprise."
Back to the duel
"I reveal Amber Dragon Dusk, then I release Daylight to Special Summon it! Come, Dusk!"

"Fusion huh? Interesting~" Yuri said with pure interest. Ryuki finished searching as he revealed Overlord Rebirth and added it to his hand.
"I now activate Overlord Rebirth! I fuse Amber Dragon Dusk along with Amber Dragon Daylight in my graveyard..."
"With fire as my soul and dragon's pride as my blade...
I summon the monarch of red destruction!

A roar shakes the battlefield. A massive, crimson-armored dragon lands with authority, sword-tail gleaming with flame.

Behind Ryuki, Ruri and Rin saw him summoned Dragonic Overlord and they were just in awe from the sight of the dragon. Rin's eyes were sparkling as she sees how badass the dragon was, the Ruri was shaking that the dragon in front of her is a Fusion Monster. But as she continues to stare at the dragon, all of her fears were washed away, and the cold lingering fear was replaced with warmth.
Meanwhile at the Academia Throne Room
Inside the throne room of Academia, we see a man with no hair at all, as he's wearing a full violet military suit with a violet cape. He is Akaba Leo or better known as "Professor". As he was checking the progress of the invasion of the Xyz Dimension, one of the surveillance staff appeared in a hurry.
"Professor!! This is urgent!! Leo stopped what he was doing as he looked at the man in a cold stare.
"What is it that you want to tell me?" Leo said in a disinterested voice, but what the man said next, puts him on hold.
"There's a duel happening in the docks, and it's Yuri-sama, and he's facing against a man along with the girls that Yuri-sama captured!"
Leo Immediately put his work on hold as he opened the cameras on the dock as he sees Yuri facing off against a man and when he saw Dragonic Overlord, he paused for a moment as he was just staring at it.
"What dragon is that? It's not the same as the Dimensional Dragons. But the power..." Leo looked at the power meters and Dragonic Overlord's power is on an all time high. He then looked at the man and gave his instructions.
"Double the security without anyone noticing. The duel must not be disturbed. And while you're at it, send the elite squad and have them prepare in retrieving the girls."
"Yes sir." the man left as Leo locked his eyes on the duel as he will not miss every moment.
Now back to the duel
"Battle!! Dragonic Overlord, attack Chimerafflesia!! And at this moment, I activate Overlord's effect! If this card is Fusion Summoned, this card gets 1000 Attack until the end phase!"

"Oh no! Chimerafflessia's attack is higher than Overlord's!!" Rin screamed as she's seeing that Dragonic Overlord's attack has gone lower, and Ruri felt hopeless as the fear is returning.
"Not gonna happen! I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Aghanim's Shard! This card can grant a monster an additional effect depending on their level or rank. And since Dragonic Overlord is level 8, with Aghanim's Shard, my Overlord is immune to card effects until the end phase! Now Overlord, retaliate!!"

Dragonic Overlord was holding Chimerafflesia by the throat and the plant got incinerated by Dragonic Overlord's fire breath.

"Ngh—! I activate my Chimerafflesia's effect. If this card is destroyed, I can add one Polymerization from my deck to my hand. Then I activate Fusion Substitute's effect. By banishing this card and returning one Fusion Monster from my graveyard back to the Extra Deck, I draw one card. I return Chimerafflesia, and I draw." A card ejected on Yuri's duel disk and he added it on his hand, then he drew one card and added it on his hand again, but Ryuki is far from over.
"I activate Overlord's effect. The moment this card destroys a monster, I can draw one card. If the card I drew is a monster card, my Overlord can attack again."
After hearing the effect, Yuri's face turned into dread. This was the first time he's been backed into a corner. The girls faces were the same as him, but with excitement, both of them are getting excited as the duel is about to finish. Ryuki drew the card that will decide the duel. He took a look at it and he revealed it to his opponent.
"It's Perdition Dragon, Rampart Dragon. Overlord attacks directly!"
Yuri didn't say anything as he quietly activated the card that he set the prior turn as Dragonic Overlord's attack landed on Yuri. Rin and Ruri hugged in celebration as the duel is over. But the celebration was cut short as they saw Yuri unscathed.
"But...how?" Ruri asked in disbelief. Then they saw the card and they understood why Yuri is still alive and kicking.
"Negate Attack. You activated it the moment Overlord's attack was about to land at you." Ryuki looked at Yuri as he tired to keep his guard up.
"You... You're stronger than the rest. I finally found you...MY RIVAL!!!!" Yuri called Ryuki his rival in pure happiness and that confused the girls as they were getting creeped out by Yuri.
"Rival you say?" Ryuki asked curiously and the Predaplant user answered in earnest.
"Yes. For years, anyone that I face is either not strong enough or cannot keep up with me. Though there are a few that can go toe to toe with me, I felt like they're dueling me half-hearted. But you...you...you are different. I know that this is your first time dueling and you already pushed me back like this. I can tell that you have more to offer. That's why I call you my rival." After Yuri explained why he called Ryuki his rival, everyone understood why Yuri's like that. The feeling of being too strong and no one wanted to duel you...that's something that any duelist/cardfighter can't take. Knowing this, Ryuki told Yuri to continue.
"Well, if you look at me like that, then I accept. Show me what you got. Oh right, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Himejima Ryuki." As Ryuki introduced himself, Yuri answered in kind as he finally gets the duel he's been looking for.
"Himejima Ryuki....then my name is Kusakabe Yuri, The man who will beat you! Now Ryuki, end your turn." Ryuki nodded as he sets his cards.
"I set 2 cards face-down. Over to you".

Ruri began to hyperventilate as she sees Yuri's dragon as the trauma she had from dueling him returned.
"Ruri!! Hang in there!! Oi Ryuki! Finish this duel already!! Ruri is not gonna last much longer!!" Rin called out Ryuki as the boy saw Ruri on the verge of crashing out. He needed to end this duel now for her sake.
"Kukuku...now then, I activate Starve Venom's effect. Once this card is Fusion Summoned, this card gains the combined attack of all special summoned monsters in the field. And in your case, your Overlord."
Starve Venom started to power up as his attack is much higher than Dragonic Overlord.
Starve Venom Fusion Dragon

"And that's not all, I also activate Starve Venom's other effect. Once per turn, I can target one level 5 or higher monster in my opponent's field, then Starve Venom gets that monsters effects until the end phase." Yuri said maliciously as Starve Venom's vines connected to Dragonic Overlord.
"Fuck," That is all Ryuki could say as Starve Venom now has Dragonic Overlord's effect. And he knew what's coming.
"I activate Starve Venom's effect using the effect that I got from your Dragonic Overlord. If this card is fusion summoned, it gets 1000 attack."
Starve Venom Fusion Dragon

"This is bad. This is really bad" Rin said as she knew that Ryuki is gonna take a lot of damage if Yuri declares an attack, Ruri only prayed that Ryuki could come out of this one safely.
"Now, Starve Venom, attack Dragonic Overlord!!" Yuri commanded his dragon and Starve Venom started to charge for a breath attack. The dragon unleashed a powerful blast and it pierced through Dragonic Overlord's chest and got destroyed, and Ryuki tried to hold his ground, but the shock waves was too strong as he got flung at least 2 meters.
"Gh-!" Ryuki landed in one of the crates as he was hurt...well, not that bad, but he did crash land to a pile of crates.
Ryuki: 4000 → 200
"RYUKI!!!" Both Rin and Ruri shouted Ryuki's name and Yuri was starting to feel disappointed as he saw his new rival got flung like that. But his disappointment faded, as Ryuki slowly got up and tidied his coat up.
"That, unexpectedly hurt." Ryuki casually said as the girls and Yuri were just stunned as they saw him getting up as if it was nothing.
"H-How are you still fine?" Yuri asked as he couldn't believe that Ryuki was still standing. And the Kagero user just gave him a smirk.
"After dueling against someone that can give me real damage for the past 5 years, I get used to it. Though it still hurts. And I have to thank you though, because you activated my trap card!!" Ryuki pressed the button and revealed the card that he set before he ended his turn. And that caught them off guard.
"Rebirth by Flame! I can activate this card if my LP is lower than yours! And it's effect is that I can summon a Fusion Monster from my graveyard! But it returns to the Extra Deck after your next turn. Return to my side, Dragonic Overlord!!
Ryuki's Dragonic Overlord returned to the field, but it's attack didn't increase because it was special summoned from the graveyard and not Fusion Summoned.
"Alright! He brought back his monster" Rin said in excitement. "Remember that Starve Venom has Dragonic Overlord's effect. And you know what that effect is" Ruri reminded Rin and the latter's face turned from joy to worry.
"I activate Starve Venom's effect using the effect from Dragonic Overlord. Since I destroyed a monster, I draw one card from my deck. And if it's a monster, Starve Venom can attack again. DRAW!!" Yuri drew a card from his deck and reveled it with a smile.
"Predaplant Banksiogre. Now Starve Venom, ATTACK!!!" Yuri commanded his dragon to attack one more time, but Ryuki has a trick on his sleeve.
"Quick-Play Spell, Ghost Scpeter!!" Ryuki activated his other face-down card and Dragonic Overlord is covered in a neon-green aura.
"Ghost Scepter allows me to target one monster and they cannot be targeted to any effects or attacks! And since Dragonic Overlord is my only monster, your battle phase ends!!" Starve Venom just phased through Dragonic Overlord as the attack did nothing. The girls who watched this breathed a sigh of relief that Ryuki got away from the battle. And Yuri was all smiles as they see a thick dark aura coming from him.
"Brilliant, brilliant!! As expected from my rival!! More, more, MORE!!! I set one card, and I end my turn!!! At this moment, Starve Venom's attack is returned to normal." His dark aura was going out of control as Ryuki knew that he had to end this one way or another.
Yuri: 1500 | Hand: 0
Ryuki: 200 | Hand: 3
Meanwhile with Leo, he saw the aura coming out from Yuri and his face turned into full scorn. "Zarc...."
Now back to the docks, It's Ryuki's turn. He took a deep breath and drew his next card.
Turn 4 - Ryuki
"Atashi no turn, DRAW!!" Ryuki drew his card, and it was the card that he needed right now.
"If my opponent has no face-up trap cards on the field, I can special summon this card to the field. Come to my side, Perdition Dragon Knight, Nazel!!
At Ryuki's call, a young warrior clad in red armor with gold linings appeared and he's holding a song spear that is covered in fire.

"And that's not all. If Nazel is in the field, I can special summon this card from the deck. Appear to your partner's side, Perdition Dragon, Grossvile Dragon!!
A pillar of flames erupted in front of Ryuki. And from that pillar, came a humanoid dragon clad in red armor similar to Nazel as he is holding a flaming katana on his right hand.

Despite being outnumbered, Yuri showed a smile as he was enjoying every single moment. Ryuki looked at Yuri as he knew that he has to end this now.
"The requirements have been met. Now let me show you what the Kagero Clan can really do! Dragonic Overlord's Blaze!" At Ryuki's command, Dragonic Overlord started to glow in an orange red light.
"Blaze? What's that?" Yuri asked Ryuki and the latter complied.
"Blaze is an exclusive effect only to the Kagero Clan, and it can only be activated if I have two or more FIRE attribute monsters on the field!" Ryuki's explanation shocked everyone. Having another effect that is separate from it's original can be a game changer. And Ryuki continued on like it's nothing.
"With Dragonic Overlord's Blaze, I can conduct a Fusion Summon without the use of a Fusion card. As long as Dragonic Overlord is used as a Fusion material!! I fuse my Dragonic Overlord, Perdition Dragon Knight, Nazel and Perdition Dragon, Grossvile Dragon!!!"
"Nani?!?" That was all that Yuri can say and Ryuki started his chant.
"Dragon Knights of Inferno forged by bonds, unite your power with the Avatar of Flames.
Transcend all emperors, and reach the pinnacle of power and let your flames reign supreme!!

Transcend, Level 12—Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Overlord "The Ace"!!!!"
A pillar of fire erupts. From the inferno rises a dragon, larger than before, wings spreading wide, eyes blazing red. Plated with spiky crimson armor on his shoulders, legs and chest and it is holding a flaming sword, where the sword guard has wings similar to Dragonic Overlord. When the flames died out, "The Ace" lets out a primal roar as it was heard throughout the island.

Meanwhile with Leo, he was just paralyzed as he was just staring at "The Ace", then he was getting an emergency call from one of his scientists.
"Professor, the reactor is going haywire!! If we don't do something, the entire island is going to explode!!!" The scientist explained and Leo got himself together and issued his orders.
"Shut down the system and go for the Emergency mode for 15 minutes! After that reboot the entire system! We can't have a meltdown in this island!! Leo exclaimed as the scientists began working. Leo then looked at the power charts of "The Ace" and what he saw is something that he didn't account for.
"What is this power?" Leo can only looked at the screen as the duel is about to reach it's end.
Now back to the duel and everyone was just staring at "The Ace".
"I activate "The Ace's" effect! By banishing one Dragonic Overlord Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, "The Ace" can inherit it's effects. I banish Dragonic Overlord "The End" from my Extra Deck, and now "The Ace" has "The End's" Effects.
"The Ace" started to roar as the silhouette of "The End" showed up behind "The Ace".
"But, all other monsters aside from "The Ace" cannot attack. Then I activate my spell card, Infernal Reborn. With this card, by paying half of my life points, I can bring back 2 monsters from my graveyard, but their attack and defense will be cut in half. To my side once again, Perdition Dragon Knight, Nazel and Perdition Dragon, Grossvile Dragon!!!
Ryuki brought back his previous two monsters, and that means he can use his monsters Blaze once more.

"Nazel's Blaze. All FIRE attribute monsters on my field gets 500 attack." The three monsters on Ryuki's field glown orange as they got a power boost.

"Battle! Dragonic Overlord "The Ace", attack Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!!" Ryuki declared for the attack, but Yuri has one last trick on his sleeve.
"Trap activate! Holy Barrier, Mirror Force!! When a monster declares for an attack, all monsters in attack position are destroyed! Say goodbye to your monsters!" Yuri said in a triumphant tone, but Ryuki replied as he has a counter to that.
"Are you sure about that? "The Ace's" Blaze. And I'm using the one that I got from "The End"! If Dragonic Overlord is in the Graveyard, "The Ace" is unaffected by card effects!"
"Then...then that means-" Yuri knew that his defeat is inevitable, then suddenly darkness devoured him and Starve Venom. But before the darkness took control of him and his monster, "The Ace's" eyes gleamed as the darkness was taken out of Yuri, but the darkness was still on his monster.
"This is the end!! Imperium Inferno!!!!" "The Ace" raised it's sword as it turned into a colossal sword of fire, then it swung down it's sword towards Starve Venom as the plant dragon started to get incinerated to ash along with the darkness.
"Damn you!! DAMN YOU!! YOU RUINED MY CHANCE FOR MY REVENGE!! DAMN YOU!!!!!!" Only Ryuki heard that as he knew that was Zarc's darkness fading away from Yuri and Starve Venom. As for Yuri, he fell to the floor as his LP turns to zero.
Yuri: 1500 → 0
Ryuki: WIN
As the duel has finally concluded, "The Ace" along with Nazel and Grossvile Dragon lets out a victorious scream before fading away. For Rin, she was jumping with joy as she saw Ryuki won by a comeback, and for Ruri, she watched Ryuki as she was blushing as she found someone that she can fully trust.
With Leo, he couldn't believe that Yuri of all duelists was defeated. And what surprised him is that he saw Zarc's figure burned in ashes from Ryuki's attack. He slumped to his throne as he stared at the ceiling.
"He did it...he took out Zarc....something that I failed to do...no matter, all more the reason I need to bring back Ray." He got up once again as he contacted the elite team to begin their operation.
At the docks, we see Ryuki walking his way to Yuri to see if he was okay. He got down on one knee and he took Yuri's deck for a moment.
"I feel the darkness fading away from him...that's good. One down, three to go." He returned the deck back to Yuri's duel disk as he turns around as Rin and Ruri tackled him and hugged him tight.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for saving us!!" Rin was repeating thank you to Ryuki as she's finally free. And Ruri was just quiet, but she did mumble something as Ryuki heard it as well.
"Thank you for saving me....truly I am." Ryuki returned the hug as they have their moment. As they broke the hug, Ryuki tells them their next move.
"So, what's the next step, Ryuki?" Rin asked as she put her hands on the back of her head, and before Ryuki can tell them the next step, they were surrounded by at least 20 Academia Elite Duelists.
"Surrender the girls at once, or face the elite troupe of Academia!" One of the elite duelists demanded Ryuki to give Rin and Ruri back to them. And before Ryuki activates his duel disk, both Rin and Ruri stepped forward as they activated their duel disks.
"You two-" Ryuki said, but Rin and Ruri cut him off. "You did your best protecting us, now it's our turn to protect you." Rin said with a confident smile. "I may not be as strong as you, but I can still fight. I trust you with my life, so trust me on this one." Ruri said with a face of resolve and Ryuki could only look and be impressed to how these girls got brave all of a sudden.
As the one who is supposed to be the commander of the troupe was about to give his orders, we heard a loud noise coming form the sea. We looked at the sea and it's a speed boat coming right at us.
And the one who was driving that boat, is a girl with long dark blond hair with hazel eyes, and she's wearing similar to an Academia uniform, but it's white. The girl shouted at Ryuki and the girls to jump off the pier.
"You three, jump now!!!" The girl shouted. And with little to no options, the three decided to trust her and jumped off the pier, shocking the elite troupe. As the three landed on the boat safely, the girl picked up to full speed and got out before the elites could do a thing.
At the boat where Ryuki, Ruri and Rin were recovering from the jump, the girl driving the boat took a glance at them and asked them if they were alright.
"Are you guys alright? Sorry I had you jump off the pier like that." The girl said as she turned her eyes back to the wheel as she continued driving.
"We're good...we're good." Ryuki took a deep breath as he doesn't have to duel for now.
"Um...who are you?" Ruri asked, and the girl simply replied.
"Tenjoin Asuka. A member of the Fusion Dimensions Resistance Fighters. You are Ruri from the Xyz Dimension and Rin from the Synchro Dimension, right?" Ruri was surprised as she heard that Asuka is a member of the resistance. And Rin was surprised as well as Asuka knew her name.
"Resistance? You mean there's one here in the Fusion Dimension as well?" Ruri asked. "Wait, how did you know my name?" Rin also asked, but Asuka answerd their question as she's driving.
"We have some inside men in the academy and they've been providing info for us. We were suppose to rescue you a week from now, but with him doing the heavy work, I guess we had to accelerate things. Thanks for saving them...uh..." Asuka stopped as she doesn't know Ryuki's name.
"Ryuki. Himejima Ryuki. And before you asked, the reason why I saved these girls is because that was my mission." Ryuki said as he tried to relax.
"Hmm...I wanted to ask you some questions, but it'll have to be on hold for now. Once we make it to the mainland, then you can share your story." As Asuka said that, the three agreed to her and the young resistance fighter continued driving as they make it to the mainland.

A/N: Sup everybody, IWAEHypeMan here, and this is my first take on a Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction. I took a bit of inspiration from "The Galaxy Master", "The Spirit King", "The Seeker of Light and Darkness", "Territory of the Shark" and "Bonds Beyond Dimensions". This is all that I can think of as of now, and I don't know when I'll put the second chapter.
As for the cards, I made custom cards and the effects of the monsters are similarly close to their Vanguard counterparts. And for the spells and traps, I had to rack my head in thinking of the effects.
And I did this on my phone, and it was an eyesore. So who knows when I get my laptop back, maybe I'll do this along with The Prodigy and the Band Girls.
