Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 Uniforms

"Hm?" Fang Hao was looking at the chaotic crowd, wondering what was happening, when he suddenly looked at the girl he was holding.

Just now, Fang Hao's hand had been squeezed by Nezuko. Fang Hao looked at Nezuko in surprise; at this moment, she displayed a myriad of expressions—panic, anger, confusion, unease—expressions that the previously innocent Nezuko had never shown before.

He followed Nezuko's gaze towards the crowd but saw nothing. However, Fang Hao understood that Nezuko must have sensed Muzan.

Whether it was an instinctive unease or a feeling based on hatred, no matter which, Nezuko certainly had an extraordinary intuition regarding Muzan.

Fang Hao reached out and patted Nezuko's head. Seeing Nezuko tilt her head again, returning to her previous innocent state, he smiled with a pang of heartache, "Soon, Nezuko. I will make that day come faster."

Fang Hao did not try to search for Muzan, nor did he do anything to provoke him. There was no need; he knew he was not Muzan's opponent yet.

However, Fang Hao was constantly improving. Total Concentration Breathing: Constant allowed his physique to remain in an enhanced state. He believed that it wouldn't be long before most of the values on his status screen would turn into D- (Fang Hao: It's unlikely to have E++ right?).

Fang Hao led the girl and walked towards the center of the commotion.

It was indeed difficult for Tanjiro to handle the man beneath him alone, so Fang Hao and Nezuko's arrival was truly a timely intervention.

While Tanjiro restrained the man, Fang Hao dislocated his joints and jaw. "He's no longer capable of fighting." Fang Hao clapped his hands. The demonized man tried to struggle, but with his limbs and jaw joints dislocated by Fang Hao, he was naturally helpless. Mission accomplished.

Seeing Tanjiro's confusion, he casually explained, "Strictly speaking, he's not injured; his body won't instinctively recover. He has no reason now and can't control his joints."

"I see." Tanjiro nodded. He then suddenly remembered something and anxiously looked around, but he couldn't find his target. His nose also failed to pick up the scent from before, so he reluctantly gave up.

"Damn it, he got away!"

"Tanjiro, if he hadn't run, we would have died here." Fang Hao smiled bitterly, "The Demon Slayer Corps has no record of slaying an Upper Rank since its establishment, let alone Muzan."

Actually, Fang Hao still thought Upper Rank One Kokushibo was more formidable. After all, he was Yoriichi's brother, mastered Moon Breathing, Transparent World, and also had a Mark. The scumbag boss would definitely not be Kokushibo's opponent in a real fight.

Tanjiro also knew that Fang Hao was speaking the truth and fell silent. He indeed had the courage to pursue Muzan and dared to swing his sword at him, but that didn't stop him from feeling that he was no match for Muzan, especially since he couldn't even clearly see Muzan's movements.

"Clear the way, clear the way, quickly clear the way! Can anyone tell me what happened here?" Several men with short batons parted the crowd. These were the police who had arrived.

"It was this man who suddenly went crazy and bit someone," someone in the crowd said, pointing at the man restrained by Tanjiro and Fang Hao.

The leading police officer seemed to have handled similar incidents before: "You few, take that woman to the hospital first. The rest of you, bring the ropes and muzzles."

Then he looked at Fang Hao and the others, "Hmm, it was hard work to subdue this man. Now, leave it to us police. Alright, young man, you can let go. I'll hold him down."

Looking at the confidence on his face, Fang Hao only wanted to say that he didn't understand the seriousness of the problem at all. "No, you can't hold him down." Fang Hao decisively refused.

"This man is only temporarily controlled by us. He is a true monster, and you won't be able to handle him properly."

"Yes, please don't approach this person casually; it will be very dangerous," Tanjiro also chimed in from the side.

"I don't know what you're talking about, hand him over quickly!" The leader looked impatient and directly reached out to pull Fang Hao away.

Tanjiro stood in front of him, "Fang Jun is doing this for your own good. Please, I beg you, do not approach this person."

"Huh?" Tanjiro's words seemed to have triggered a mass taunt, and the police immediately became displeased.

"Hey, hey, let go! Don't obstruct official duties!"

"You're making things very difficult for us."

"Oh, they're carrying swords."

"Hey, why are you carrying swords? Don't you know about the Sword Abolishment Edict?"

"Let's just take them all in, Chief."

The police all stepped forward. Tanjiro shielded Fang Hao, firmly blocking the officers.

Although Tanjiro had good physical abilities, he was still just a teenager. Despite rigorous training, he couldn't completely block these men. After all, he couldn't use his sword, and he was facing well-trained police officers.

Nezuko, standing by, watched in a daze, innocently observing the scene unfolding before her. She had been subjected to psychological suggestion by the former Water Hashira, viewing all humans as family. In other words, she was unable to harm humans, and thus, in this situation, she naturally couldn't help Tanjiro.

Tanjiro took a deep breath, then shouted loudly, "Please, don't come any closer! We will not hand over this man!"

But these police officers paid no mind to Tanjiro's words and continued to advance, trying to push Tanjiro aside.
