A Crimson trail painted the road as a silhouette of something approaching became visible to the police officers of District Seven.
The lady head officer approached the figure with one hand on her revolver.
Upon closing the distance a bit she saw a teen boy carrying a little girl in a sack on his back. His clothes were tattered with blood and cut marks and his eyes were hazy. The officer hurried as she saw a severely injured minor carrying a toddler.
"Hurry everyone, bring the medics" Every officer in the area turned around and approached the subject. Some were carrying medical kits and other rescue tools.
Raven's eyes were begging him to shut down but his willpower was stronger. He knew that he had a responsibility on his shoulders (quite literally) as an elder brother.
He didn't even have the strength left to say anything, looking at the approaching female officer, he handed her the girl child.
The female officer was shocked to see how much wounded the young teen was, chills ran through her spine when she realized how he had dragged his almost dead body across the town after it was bombed.
She heaved a sigh of relief looking at the baby girl who was safe and sleeping. She handed her to another officer and tried to hold Raven to bandage and stop his blood loss.
But her attempts were futile. Raven simply smiled
"Her name is Emma, please adopt her."
saying this he collapsed on the ground, on his face was a smile filled with satisfaction he knew his sister would be in good hands now as the last thing he had seen was a nod from the lady in front of him.
Raven had collapsed on his stomach, so his back was exposed to the police officers. One of the officers with keen senses suddenly moved closer to him and tore his tattered robes.
The horrifying sight that came in front of everyone would always be imprinted in their memories, the flesh on the back of the child so riddled that it looked like a mess.
Bullets, cuts, and debris came into their view as if all these objects were part of his body.
"I wonder how this boy managed to walk when his spine was already this damaged, how can he bear so much pain that even adults can't manage to bear at such an age?"
The eyes of everyone on the scene became moist, before being police officers they were humans, they knew that the sufferings this boy had gone through were all because of the personal grudges of some people in power who decided to declare wars on other countries in the pretext of human rights and peacekeeping.
They were all suffering because of the actions of people they had no karma with.
One emotional man couldn't control himself as he started praying on the spot. With his hands locked he started praying.
"O Lord, I humbly beseech you to bless Your child, who has endured so many trials and hardships at such a tender age. Grant them Your grace for the patience and strength they have shown through it all."
His aide keeping his hands on his shoulders said
"Let's go. That child is only a few months old and needs extensive care. Let's take her to the shelter"
To his words everyone nodded, Raven's body was put in an HRP bag, and carried his dead body to the safe zone.
Perhaps mortal eyes weren't that powerful but if these people were extraordinary they would have noticed a white glow being materialized over the body into the shape of a tennis ball.
After a few minutes of hovering around the little girl, the glowing orb slowly took off for the skies.
Strangely this phenomenon should have drawn the attention of everyone but still, everything went unnoticeable to everyone except a pair of bright eyes that were following the orb's trajectory with curiosity budding in them.
"Oh, she has woken up!! Aww, she's so cute!!, let's adopt her, what do you say?" Cristo said to his wife carrying Emma in her arms.
"She had already become my daughter when I promised that boy to adopt her"
Cristo nodded "What will we name her darling?"
"Her name is Emma you dummy!! That boy already told us, so let's keep it that"

God knows when the white glowing orb had taken off so fast and was hovering around somewhere in the vast universe, from where stars felt close but were infinitely far.
The orb traveled for a long time before it was sucked into a black hole.
Somewhere on the other side of the universe a wormhole opened and spewed tons of cosmic energy and matter.
The white orb, soon a white orb, was seen shooting out of the wormhole.
Like a falling star, it made its way towards a particular direction leading to a planet that was hundreds of parsecs away.

The orb of light traveled on its path for countless years without any disturbances free from any type of interference.
But one day as the orb was about to reach the planet a streak of light tore through the space and a giant sword materialized in front of the planet the orb in question was travelling to.
The sword was sentient as there was no hand holding it, with a sharp shrill cry the sword launched itself with a blinding light toward the planet.
The sword cleanly sliced the planet in half and disappeared into the void after which a silence followed before the imminent destruction.
The whole celestial body broke apart, masses of land and water blew up in different directions to some extent before the planet's gravity worked and stopped those pieces in their tracks.
Now the spot where once was a planet with great fauna and flora lay ruins of a mysteriously destroyed planet.
Debris of the world floated around before escaping the planetary core's gravity.
The only thing that remained unmoved was the massive shiny planetary core arguably exerting the gravity that held massive amounts of broken planetary chunks.
Among all the massive amounts of planetary waste each floating in their orbit. A very small ball of light traveled very peacefully. A piece of debris was about to hit the ball, but it very conveniently passed through it and continued on its path toward the planetary core.
After a small amount of time, the orb entered the inner sphere of influence of the planetary core, as soon as the orb entered the white shimmering core buzzed as if it had been injected with life.
The buzz soon stopped but the speed at which the orb was travelling increased quite a bit. In the blink of a few minutes the orb landed in front of the core and a transfer started happening, a transfer of energies.
The whole planetary core was being swallowed inside the white orb, and the process didn't even take a minute. As soon as the transfer of energies finished the color of the small orb went from smoky to radiant white like a star.
And with a humming sound, the orb took off in a completely different direction from the one it was following like it had a life of its own.
As soon as it disappeared the debris and cosmic waste bound to its gravity was released free into space.
A few years passed at the place where the planetary core had been previously situated.
A being of humongous size materialized with a sword in his hand, it was the same sword that had obliterated the planet.
"Strange!! I had left the core to ripe here? Did someone else eat it?"
"Tch!! hungry bastards"
"I hope they get constipated after eating a raw core"
The sword in his hand hummed to his emotions and as if understanding what it was saying the man replied to the sword.
"Yeah, we can always hunt for ripe ones I know Dita, but still eating someone's food, what the hell does that even mean is that even possible that we could take each other's food??"

Meanwhile the radiant orb that had just escaped the clutches of its fate of being devoured was now traveling at a steady pace in a random direction having no plan of where to go.
Unknowingly it had crossed a thin veil that separated a portion of that universe from the other. But to the orb that did not have a direction it was the best it could do in this situation.
Suddenly it detected a presence, a presence similar to itself, the orb stopped moving for a moment and then suddenly.
It took off at a speed greater than light, it traveled so fast that god knows how many heavenly bodies it had crossed by finally reaching its destination in a few minutes.
There in front of the orb was a planet similar to the one it possessed, but it was quite mature compared to the former. The orb's shine slowly dimmed as if it was going to sleep after finally reaching home from long travel.
