To Tony, this was a book, at least from its appearance, it looked very much like a book.
If Levis were to describe it, it would be very similar to the magic books in "Harry Potter."
"What is this thing?" Tony frowned, "Do I really have to look at this thing?"
Just looking at its shape, Tony was already a little disgusted, let alone opening it to read.
"Sir, Pepper has arrived," Jarvis's voice interrupted Tony's thoughts.
"Perfect!" Tony's eyes lit up when he heard his assistant's name, and he waved his hand, "Have her come here."
Soon, Tony's personal assistant, the blonde beauty Pepper, gracefully walked in. As soon as she entered, she saw Tony sitting alone on the sofa.
Pepper was very surprised. She remembered Tonyhad just brought a beautiful reporter back, hadn't he? Had it ended so quickly?
"Oh, Pepper, you've come at just the right time!" Tony's spirits lifted when he saw Pepper, and he immediately beamed, "Come over and look at this!"
"What is this?" Pepper only then noticed the object in front of Tony. It was ugly and exuded an ominous aura.
"Who knows," Tony said indifferently, "Perhaps it's a boring prank by some boring fellow."
Pepper frowned and picked up the book to examine it carefully.
Aside from the disgusting skull decoration, there was no text on the cover.
Turning to the first page, the yellowed parchment scroll revealed a sense of ancient history.
"It doesn't seem dangerous," Tony commented with interest.
Pepper couldn't help but roll her eyes. If it were dangerous, she would be the first to be finished.
It's truly you, Tony!
Pepper ignored Tony and quickly finished reading the first page.
"What does it say?" Tony asked.
Pepper paused for a moment, then looked up at Tony and replied helplessly, "It's Chinese, I can't understand it!"
"Uh... Chinese... Then it seems this boring fellow should be Chinese," Tony said, stroking his chin, "Of course, it could also be a mysterious Easterner. They are always so mysterious, aren't they?"
After speaking, Tony looked up at his beautiful assistant Pepper and smiled, "My dear Pepper, thank you very much for your help, although there are still some minor flaws."
Pepper rolled her eyes.
"However, that's not your fault. After all, Chinese is always very difficult, isn't it?" Tony said with a strange laugh.
"Are you going to find someone to translate it?" Pepper asked.
"Find someone?" Tony said dismissively, "Why find someone? Jarvis!"
Tony snapped his fingers and said to Pepper, "Pepper, scan this for Jarvis."
Pepper looked around, and a camera extended directly towards her, focusing on the text on the first page in her hand.
"October 11, 2007, this is my first day here, and also the first night. The weather is quite good."
"There's nothing to say about the daytime, because I don't remember anything."
"Of course, none of that is important. What's important is that I saw an acquaintance on TV."
"If it weren't for this guy, I'd be in a better mood right now."
"But then again, a World with this guy in it isn't so bad after all."
"At least, there are still a few unique beauties."
"This is a very tasteful guy!" Tony couldn't help but interject.
Pepper gave her boss a contemptuous look. So, if you like beauties, that means you have good taste, right?
"Continue, Jarvis, this sounds like someone's diary, and it's from today," Tony said with a smile.
Pepper ignored Tony, and Jarvis continued to translate.
"It seems Tony hasn't become Iron Man yet, which is good news."
"Tony?" Pepper was startled and looked at Tony, who was sitting casually on the sofa.
"Clearly, the guy he saw on TV must be me," Tonysaid, then frowned, "But what does this Iron Manmean?"
Tony's confusion went unanswered, as Jarviscontinued to translate.
"But looking at the time, it seems it's almost here. When was it again?"
"Damn it, I have no impression! Who knows which day this bastard was kidnapped!"
"Forget it, if I don't remember, I don't remember. Who cares which day, I'll know when this guy gets tied up."
"What!" Tony instantly sat upright when he heard this.
What did he hear? He would actually be kidnapped? That's ridiculous!
Pepper also looked at Tony in surprise. Her boss would be kidnapped? No way!
Who is Tony? The CEO of Stark Industries, the World's largest enterprise, a U.S. Militaryindustrial giant, the Military's closest partner, and one of humanity's smartest brains.
And someone can kidnap him?
Pepper wouldn't believe it for a second.
Tony believed it even less, and was even a little angry.
"Sure enough, this is a prank by some boring fellow!" Tony glanced at the diary, stood up, and said disdainfully, "To say I'll be kidnapped? Does this guy really know who he's talking about?"
Tony felt there was no need to listen further; what was written here was pure nonsense.
Pepper, however, was more rational than Tony and hesitated, "Tony, perhaps we can continue listening. Even if it's nonsense, there's no harm in hearing how he talks nonsense."
Tony wanted to just leave, but he looked at his assistant and reluctantly sat back down.
"Anyway, this isn't important. What's important is that when Tony gets kidnapped, Stark Industries' stock will definitely plummet, which is a great opportunity to make a fortune!"
"F.U.C.K!" Tony couldn't help but curse out loud this time.
It was bad enough that this guy cursed him to be kidnapped, but he even dared to scheme about Stark Industries' stock. He was truly defying Heaven, it was simply unbearable.
Pepper also frowned; this person was indeed very annoying.
"This is Stark Industries, make a fortune, and you're set!"
The translation continued, and Tony's face grew increasingly grim.
"So, my dear Tony, please don't disappoint me, you absolutely must get kidnapped!"
"Finally, I want to say one more thing: You get kidnapped, I make money, a good life is right now. Thank you, Tony Stank!"
Jarvis finished translating, Pepper's eyebrows twitched, while Tony's face was stiff as he woodenly asked, "Jarvis, what does 'big shit' mean after my name at the end?"
The atmosphere became quiet, with only the buzzing sound of Jarvis's current audible.
"Sir, after detailed comparison, according to the Chinese context, this should be a homophone for 'stank' in Chinese."
After explaining, Jarvis even humanely played the Chinese pronunciations of "stank" and "shi da ke."
After hearing these two pronunciations, before Pepper could speak, Tony suddenly stood up.
He raised his hand and glanced at the time, Tonysaid expressionlessly, "I actually wasted an hour on such a boring thing, how foolish."
"Alright, Pepper, I have other things to do, I'll leave this to you."
Tony unceremoniously dumped the remaining matters on Pepper. He just wanted to leave now; he felt completely played. If he had known this, he would never have foolishly listened to this thing.
Wouldn't having an in-depth conversation with the fragrant hot girl in the room be more interesting than this?
Pepper wanted to call out to Tony, but seeing him flee as if escaping, she had to give up.
Looking at the mess in front of her, Pepper sighed. Who told her she was unlucky enough to have such a boss?
