Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO: WHEN FAITH ALIGN

I stared into Stacey's eyes, frozen in fear with tears, but suddenly his expression contorted. "Ahh..." he groaned, releasing my neck. He jumped up, dashing to the bathroom. "Ugh, I need to go," he muttered, slamming the door shut.

The should of his urination is unmistakable. I seized the moment, grabbing the hotel phone and dialing emergency. Before I could speak, the door burst open. A manager stood there, concern etched on his face. "What's happening?" he asked urgently.

I didn't hesitate. "Just get me out of here now and charge that idiot in there with attempted murderer, the evidence is on his phone SMS"

I drove home, tears streaming down my face. Betrayal stung, memories of Stacey's touch still raw. Pain and pleasure mixed, leaving me conflicted. I took a deep breath, and say "Wendy all this doesn't define you, shit happens anyways." letting go, surrendering to fate. Albeit, Sophie's betrayal would forever be etched in my mind.

I stood before billions of people, my voice echoing through the silence. "Success isn't just about education," I began. "It's about discovering your unique talents and using them to make a difference." The audience listened intently, their faces filled with hope.

"Don't rely solely on certificates," I continued. "Explore your passions, nurture your gifts, and use them to transform your community." The crowd's energy shifted, and soon they were nodding in agreement.

As I finished speaking, the audience erupted in applause. Voices echoed through the air, "Thank you, Ms. Wendy!" Tears of gratitude welled up in some eyes and also in my eyes, I wiped it off and do the same while I woke up. "Oh it's a dream" I said to myself and wiped the tears off again.

I knelt down to pray:

"Dear God, thank you for saving me and guiding me. Please help me understand the dream you showed me. Bless me so I can bless others. Give my workers a blessed life too. Make me a successful leader, guiding them well. In Jesus' name, I pray."

I headed to the restroom, but my phone beeped. I checked it; a message from Luyinda, my PA. I put it aside for now. Looking in the mirror, I affirmed to myself: "Wendy, you're a wonderful soul. You're unique and strong. Your past doesn't define you. You're worthy and moving forward to greatness."

I checked my phone and saw a message from Luyinda. "Good Morning Madam, we have a priority message from one of our biggest clients in Dubai, Sheikh Al Waleed bin Talal," she said. "He's requesting an urgent meeting and sent his direct number." I nodded, though she couldn't see me. "Thank you, Luy. Send me the number, and I'll reach out immediately."

I dialed the number, and it started ringing. I kind of feel nervous but I calmed myself. When he picked up, I said, "Salam aleikum, Your Eminence. I received your message and I'm at your service, sir."

"Walaykumus salam to the best event planner of our time. Can you meet me at my home in an hour?" Al Waleed asked.

"Yes, sir. It will be an honour Sir " I replied.

I quickly chose an elegant Egyptian Abaya and headed to Sheikh Al Waleed's in my black Range Rover with Luyinda. Upon arrival, Al Waleed called, and I said, "I'm already at your gate, sir." He replied, "Wendy, you never cease to amaze me. Gidado will escort you through the 7 gates."

Gidado arrived with an escort car, and we cruised through the gates with sirens blaring. Luyinda giggled beside me, "This is insane!" I chuckled, "When you're rolling with royalty, expect the works."

At Al Waleed's main seating room, a maid offered us canapés and champagne. Al Waleed arrived, and we discussed his 70th retirement celebration. "Make it the talk of the city," he said. "The budget is 1 million dirhams." I nodded, maintaining my composure.

Then, he introduced Bryan, a US decorated Naval officer handling security. Our eyes met as we shook hands. Al Waleed smiled, and said "I'll leave you two to discuss details."

As Bryan and I shook hands, a sudden flashback of unknown memories hit me hard, a little palace girl engulfed in flames. I stumbled, but Bryan caught me in his arms. Our eyes locked, and my heart skipped a beat. The silence was palpable, but I was lost in his gaze.

Bryan broke the silence, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine, "I'm Bryan." I replied softly, "I'm Wendy." He smiled, his eyes crinkling, and asked, "Have we met before?" I felt the same question racing in my mind.

I smiled politely, "I have no idea." Bryan's eyes sparkled with curiosity. I excused myself, "Excuse me!" and turned to walk away, still reeling from the mysterious connection.

Bryan chased after me, saying, "I need your number for the job." I handed him my company card, but he wanted my personal number. "Ask for it like a gentleman," I said, playful but firm.

Bryan chuckled and said, "You're funny." As I drove away, he knocked on the window. I rolled it down after the third knock and he said with a charming smile, "Are you a magician? Every time I look at you, everyone else disappears."

I smiled slightly and said, "Enough." I handed him my phone, and he entered his number.

I sat on my balcony, stars twinkling above. "God, you've brought me to this moment," I whispered. "Illuminate my path, so Al Waleed's 70th retirement shines brighter than the stars. Grant me creativity, wisdom, and precision to turn this 1 million dirhams into an unforgettable celebration, all to your glory." Amen.

My phone buzzed with Bryan's call. I let it go. Seeking Solitude. Instead, I watched Apostle Joshua Selman's guidance videos on YouTube. His soothing voice calmed my spirit as I prayed along.

My eyelids grew heavy, and I found myself in an opulent hall with white and silver-gold decorations. Angels moved gracefully, and angelic choirs sang harmoniously, led by Angel Devina. The atmosphere was joyous, with tables filled with delicacies and sweet-scented flowers.

When I opened my eyes, the dream vanished. But the initial "D" lingered, making me think of Davido, the renowned Nigerian Afrobeat musician. Suddenly, my phone beeped with an incoming call and I picked: "Unknown Number: Yo! Whatup my nigga ? this is Davido speaking..."
