Chapter 1 - New world?

Chapter 1: Waking Up

"Uhhhh… ahhhh!!!… What the hell was that…? My body hurts!!… My head… I feel dizzy…"

Seyla Veyl woke up, his head pounding, his vision spinning. Slowly, he forced himself to stand, only to be greeted by a scene of devastation, craters, collapsed buildings, shattered houses, debris scattered everywhere.

But something else caught his attention, something impossible to ignore.

Above him, three massive, glowing moons hovered in the sky, circling silently overhead. Their brilliant light illuminated the wreckage around him.

"Uhhh… what… is that? Am I… seeing three moons? Uhh… am I hallucinating? What the hell… I literally just drank at a friend's house… or… am I dreaming? What kind of dream is this? Uhh… let me take a closer look…" Seyla muttered to himself, his body aching, half-awake, half-asleep.

"My body still hurts… I don't want to move… uhh… no… I can't move…"

He tried to focus his eyes on the moons. When the swirling orbs above him became clear, he couldn't stop the words that escaped his mouth.

"What the fuck?!"

The moons, three of them, they were circling above him like some divine omen.

"What the hell is even that…?"

Suddenly, one of the moons brightened. A pillar of pure yellow-white light descended from the sky, bathing Seyla in its glow.

"Ahh— what the hell… I can't see! What is this light?!"

The light was blinding, yet it carried a strange warmth, a cozy, familiar sensation that tugged at his forgotten memories.

After nearly thirty seconds, the yellow-white pillar vanished. Seyla exhaled shakily.

"Haah… it's so warm… ohh… I can't feel any more pain… I can finally move…"

Seyla stood, gazing up at the sky again. Within moments, another pillar descended, but this time, it was different.

The second moon glowed ominously, casting down a column of dark purple-black light, tinged with crimson blue.

A heavy wave of emotion washed over him, a sadness, loneliness, guilt, so raw, so overwhelming, it felt like it was crushing his chest.

"What… is this… how… am I… no…"

Tears welled in his eyes, streaming down his face as buried memories clawed their way to the surface.

Finally, the oppressive pillar faded, leaving Seyla standing there, empty and hollow, his expression frozen.

Then, from the third moon, another pillar of light descended — this one pure, brilliant white.

The air changed. The suffocating emotions vanished. Seyla was filled with clarity, a sense of purity and lightness he hadn't known he craved.

"At least the third moon doesn't make me feel bad… or joy… it brings… pure emotion…" he muttered.

For a moment, he simply stood there, taking it all in. Then, slowly, he began to walk, trying to familiarize himself with his surroundings.

Five minutes passed. Seyla tilted his head upward again. The three moons still hovered, circling, watching.

"It's like the moons are looking at me with pity… what? Because I'm lonely? I don't have anything? I know!" He stopped, his fists clenched.

Something shifted.

Etched across the surface of the moons, unfamiliar markings shimmered, scriptures, words written in a language that clawed at his memory.

"What… is that? Scriptures? A language? It feels… familiar… but I can't remember…"

A faint whisper stirred in his mind. Primordial Light… Primordial Dark…

The moment he translated the ancient words, the moons blazed with light.

Seyla's eyes widened in shock, trembling as a deep, instinctive fear settled in.

His gut screamed at him.

"Something bad… is going to happen…"

Suddenly, walls of two opposing colors, a yellow-white and dark purple-black rose around him, enclosing a five-meter circle.

Two figures descended, landing three meters away.

Humanoid in shape, but not human.

The first was bathed in pure yellow-white light. The second cloaked in swirling purple-black shadows. They stood like physical manifestations of light and darkness.

The figures spoke, their voices foreign, their words incomprehensible.

"~£¢`|€¥•√^°π÷=×{¶}}"

Seyla stumbled, stunned by the alien language.

Moments later, the yellow-white figure raised its left hand, casting a blinding glow. The other raised its right, summoning pure darkness.

An overwhelming wave of exhaustion and sleepiness hit Seyla, pulling him under.

Then, behind him, a house rose from the ground. An old-fashioned home, its exterior resembling something from ancient times.

Seyla's body weakened. He collapsed to the ground, eyes fluttering half-shut.

As his vision blurred, he saw the two figures approaching, lifting him with ease.

Before they entered the house, Seyla looked skyward, only one moon remained. The other two had vanished.

The lone white moon gazed down upon him — watching — before disappearing.

Inside, the house was vast and empty. No furniture, no walls, just an endless space of nothingness.

Then, without warning, a grand bed materialized, the kind only kings or queens would sleep on, adorned with gold, diamonds, and jewels.

Seyla was gently laid upon the bed. The two figures faded from existence like mist.

His eyelids drooped. Just before sleep claimed him, he noticed a glowing emblem, Two round moons touching each other, each with different colors, one yellow-white moon and one purple-dark moon hanging, above.

And then… darkness.

Caelwyn Country, City of L'oreal, near River Saan

In a bustling corner of L'oreal City, Seyla Veyl lay asleep inside a small house.

Minutes later, Seyla stirred awake.

He sat up, confused, scanning the unfamiliar bedroom. A large, bright moon shone outside the window.

"That… moon… is it really that big? Ugh… I'm still dizzy… alcohol? But I only had a few shots… sigh… I'm going back to sleep…"

Yawning, Seyla crawled back into bed and drifted off.

Seyla groaned as he woke again, clutching his pounding head.

"Ugh… how long was I asleep? Still dizzy… I need to get some water… I really hope my friend took me home…"

He stumbled to the door. As he reached for the handle, a sharp wave of dizziness hit him, his vision blurring.

"Uhh… what the hell…"

A moment later, his vision cleared. The dizzy spell passed.

Shaking his head, he told himself, "I really need to get some water."

He opened the door, revealing a familiar living room.

It was his house. The same modest home his parents had given him before they passed.

One bedroom, one bathroom, a living room with a small kitchen attached. A simple couch, a low table, a television. The kitchen held a stove, minimal utensils, a small sink, and a refrigerator.

He wasn't rich, but he lived comfortably enough. His job paid decently. He had friends.

Still foggy, Seyla shuffled to the kitchen. He grabbed an instant ramen packet, filled a pot with water, and waited for it to boil.

After cooking, he carried his meal to the couch, flipped on the television, and zoned out.

Minutes passed. He eventually stood, heading for the bathroom.

In front of the mirror, he studied himself.

A tall man, pure-blond hair, dark-green eyes, with a great body. A perfect curved eyebrow, long and beautiful eyelashes, pink lips, and a perfect nose. A perfect figure of both handsomeness and beauty.

He showered, dressed in his usual black and white suit, slipped on his shoes, and approached the front door.

As he opened it…

His heart nearly stopped.

Outside wasn't the world he remembered.

"What… is this… a new world…?"
