Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Roots of the Dark Sect

Darkness, true darkness, isn't just the absence of light.

It's the moment you realize no one is coming to save you.

And from that hopeless soil, Kael Draven began planting the roots of something new.

Something terrifying.

A sect born from betrayal, garbage, forgotten names, shattered dreams.

Not built for justice.

Built for revenge.

Three Days After the Star Envoy's Fall

The Hollow Bone Sect was no longer quiet.

It was terrified.

Kael Draven hadn't left the mountain's peak. No public speech. No disciples punished. No elders summoned.

But that silence spoke louder than any decree.

Because a man who slaughters a celestial envoy—and then does nothing—

Means he's thinking.

Which is worse.

Chaos System Update

[Faction Evolution Available]

[Unlock Special Structure: Hidden Cult Temple?] – Cost: 100 Chaos Points

Kael read the prompt with one brow raised. He sat cross-legged on a black rock, overlooking the Sea of Screams.

"Hidden temple, huh?"

Fodder stood beside him, unusually serious.

"We need infrastructure. Training. Loyalty systems. Recruitment strategy."

Kael smirked. "You sound like a sect elder."

"You killed most of them."

"Fair."

He accepted the upgrade.

[System Constructing: Temple of the Forgotten Root]

Location: Beneath the old waste pits

Features: Loyalty Branding Hall, Chaos Technique Library, Shadowforge Chamber, MILF Sauna (under construction)

Status: Hidden from Mortal Realm Detection

Kael descended personally.

He walked through rotting bones and failed formations until he reached a carved obsidian door—unmarked, except for a symbol:

A cracked eye inside a blooming lotus.

"Beautiful," he whispered.

"Now let's find some disciples worth damning."

Recruitment: The Discarded

Kael and Fodder moved quickly.

In a single night, they 'recruited' six disciples:

The Blind Archer – Failed in his awakening test. Now shoots qi arrows with sound.

Moss-Faced Girl – Poison affinity, half-sentient toxins.

Red Tooth – Half-beast orphan, cannibalistic when angry.

Iron Mouth – Cultivates silence; speaks only to kill.

Ghost Fingers – Pickpocket from the Forbidden Slums.

Blue Flame Widow – MILF. Former sect matron. Known for killing three husbands.

Kael offered no inspiration.

He gave them purpose.

"The world called you waste."

"I call you mine."

"And with me, you'll rise so high the sky will beg for your mercy."

"Which you will deny."

They knelt.

And the Dark Sect was born.

Meanwhile: Upper Realms – Tribunal Emergency Council

Celestial towers loomed over starlit oceans. Within the Judgment Spire, 36 Immortal Judges debated Kael's existence.

"He's corrupted the system structure."

"He's rewriting law through mortal intent."

"He cannot be allowed to reach Transcendence."

One Judge remained quiet.

Until she stood.

Lady Cinderlight.

Eternal MILF. War goddess. Chaos suppressor.

"I will descend personally."

"And seduce him if necessary."

"Then kill him."

Back at the Hollow Bone Sect

Word spread.

Not through whispers.

But through dreams.

Any disciple with a broken heart or shattered dantian saw visions:

A black lotus growing from sewage.

A man sitting on a throne of memory.

"Rise," the dream-voice said.

"Rise, and I'll teach you to erase the world that erased you."

More recruits came.

Some were nobodies.

Some were elite inner disciples who smiled publicly and bled in secret.

The Dark Sect grew.

System Alert

[Faction Rank Up: Hidden Cult → Shadow Sect]

[New Passive: Broken Chosen] – All members gain increased power the more they're hated.

[New Feature: Shadow Evangelism] – Kael's name now spreads by nightmare.]

Kael stood in the center of the Chaos Temple.

Flames danced black and gold.

"Let's see how many sinners dream of salvation tonight."

Final Scene: Infiltration

Ghost Fingers entered the outer sect library, smiling innocently.

She reached the forbidden archive.

And placed a single lotus petal under the Head Librarian's chair.

"He says hello," she whispered.

The books began to rot.
