Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Prelude Act I

Ahanium, Year 5297, Principle of Thunder, Solar Era, Month of Flame

In the evening of a certain day, we have a beautiful woman approaching a beautiful goddess. The land is still within the night but the temptation of time seems to bring heat to the meeting between, Natasia Haile, a night goddess that's the head of the most prestigious school on this planet, Mythic Academy, with dark blue hair braided down her head in such a beautiful fashion that the stars themselves flock to cling to it, and the goddess of this continent, Aiah, a beautiful, white marble ancient goddess with such perfectly crafted skin that drips with the faintest of gold in her veins and a very talented, young adolescent, with the most amazing golden eyes named Persius Selvaraj, one of the last of his kind. Natasia approached the throne room of the Ivory Sanctuary with her young protege to apply for his special visa to travel between the continents as an abroad diplomatic study program. She, of course, has an amazing and renowned diplomatic program at her prestigious magic school but this student felt he would be better suited with real hands-on experience. She knew him well and trusted his instincts, beyond the classroom would be far better indeed. Natasia dressed him very well and prepped him prior, but she took a moment before they signaled to be announced to prep him one more time. Meeting the Goddess was not meant for the weak of heart nor the overly-confident.

Natasia looks back towards him as they approach the doors of the throne room in the Ivory Sanctuary: Remember what I said. Her eyes are very intense but you do not have to stare. Make sure to bow and remember that I will be doing the majority of the talking, alright? Also, she wears a see-through gown, but you won't see anything. Just don't stare. You might be sucked in…

Young Persius gulps and takes a deep breath, shaking his hands in the process: Ummm okay, is this necessary for a visa? Also sucked into what??

Natasia shakes her head: Nevermind to your second question. Yes to the first; she has to not only sign off on them but also has to give you her blessing for safe passage especially because I won't be there. Although you will be accompanied by a study-abroad tutor to keep you up to date with your studies, you will also travel around the continents for diplomatic duties starting with Baehalan. So do not dally your verbiage. Stand up straight and make sure to approach her with just actions and sincerity.

Young Persius says as the doors open: Okay whatever you say Dean. I guess…

Natasia clears her throat and steps forward, looking up at the throne: Hello Aiah. I have brought one of my students with me, Persius. He wishes to go abroad to study to continue his studies in diplomacy and we have come to ask for your blessing.

A young teenager, roughly 14 years, steps forward, he looks quite nervous with a soft blush dusting his cheeks. He bows and then his eyes look up through his dark blue bangs.

Young Persius: Pleased to meet you my goddess. I hope you can bless me with safe travels as I traverse through the continent. *he finds it difficult to initially look up at her, either from intimidation or otherwise*

Atop her throne, Aiah sits looking very much like an ivory and gold statue, her pale golden hair flowing down to her ankles as if there was a never ending wind blowing through it all around her, and a sheer dress flowing down her body. The most color on her whole body is her deep ruby red eyes, staring at this boy in front of her. As their eyes meet for a split second…she's graced with a quick vision. A vision of this young boy as a man smiling at her and her heart skipping a beat for the first time in…centuries really; and yet, that young man's eyes also glow for a split second and then fade slowly as if it never happened.

Aiah: -her eyes flash for just a moment, long enough for at least Natasia to notice, and she smirks down at him- You may rise, child. Let me look at you.

Young Persius: Oh. *stands fully up and presents himself, trying hard not to fidget from the nervousness he feels looking up at a very, very tall being* Is this okay? *looks up at her and their eyes meet again…his heart beats with a loud thump in his chest as if he cannot breathe*

Natasia sees this and steps forward, putting a hand gently on the youth's shoulder to try and relax him, a deep blue spellcast comes out to try and wake his senses up again: We need only an okay, nothing further as he would have quite a bit of packing to do.

Persius seems in a daze right now as his eyes are refusing to leave Aiah's. He's fully enraptured and barely hears the Dean's words, only wanting to be closer to her, to know her more, to understand these feelings that sprung from nowhere.

Then, blink. His eyes open to a place of white with some clouds beneath looking like a very bright room in the sky. Too bright that he can barely make out anything but light silhouettes. Young Persius looks around but also realizes he is a bit bigger, his hands look bigger and his feet and he is made of some blue light. He looks around and another being sits near where the throne in the room once was. The being looks up and several glowing red eyes look at him and a small blush creeps across where their cheeks should be.

Hello? Persius says in his mind, as his voice seems to have left him. Who are you? Where am I?

This being stares for a second and then stands up to walk towards him. The steps are slow but moving.

Back to the corporeal world.

Aiah: -she raises her hand and beckons him forward with just one finger- Come child…don't be afraid to come closer.

Persius steps closer and keeps moving forward, going right up the steps and stops right at the foot of her throne: My goddess…*His pupils look like hearts as he just stares and smiles at her, even more dazed as if he's done this time and time again.

While this is happening, Astral Persius is standing still while this being is coming towards him and the closer they get, the more they can make out details. Their hair that shines as bright as the sun's faintest light yet golden like a lion's mane. The ruby red eyes. The gold veins in the white marble.

Goddess? Persius thinks to himself then he feels something block him.

Natasia's eyes turn a brighter blue as she coughs into her hand to let out any 'dispel magic' charms: *coughs* Aiah…only a say so. You don't need to stare so hard. *looking concerned, she also steps forward to try and stop the motion but she also knows she won't raise a hand to the ruling deity*

Aiah: I just want to meet him…my my you are a beautiful creature…you really want to travel all around the world? I'd love to have someone so beautiful near me…I'd spoil you endlessly.

Persius: Sp-spoil me? What does that entail, my goddess? *he is currently at her foot and is looking right up at her on her throne, his smile is bright and he seems quite genuine; Oh to be blessed by you is amazing, isn't it? He thinks in his mind, feeling very elated just getting closer to her. Not knowing any of what she has envisioned in her mind* …I'm sure you have so many beautiful things and people around. I'm just me.

Astrally, Aiah puts her hand on his cheek and wraps her arms around him but he only feels warmth and adoration. It's one of the best feelings a person can feel. Euphoric.

Aiah: -she gently traces her finger under his chin- I'd give you anything and everything you could possibly want and think of…you truly are one of a kind. Don't sell yourself short darling.

Natasia sees Aiah's finger touch Persius and uses her magic hand to pull him back all the way to her, stepping in front of him after he is back to show how serious she was: Aiah…we have already had a conversation about certain matters. He is my student. He wished to travel and explore his surroundings. He chose that. You cannot renege on what you've promised.

Persius snaps out of it, shaking his head, feeling like he's coming out of that daze even more now, but still holding his head as if he was experiencing a bit of delirium: I mean…it sounds nice to be spoiled but I do want to know what it means to be a diplomat. I want to know…more of the world outside of Resosia…

His astral self holds her face and whispers Not yet I think…and turns to leave, going back to his present body which wakes him more from his daze. If you give me your blessing, I will write to you. I promise, dear goddess. I would love to tell you about my adventures and of course, the dean too..*looks up at Natasia and gets a flash of annoyance from her side-eye.

Aiah: -she smiles softly and chuckles quietly- That sounds like a lovely arrangement. Very well, you will have my blessing. I look forward to seeing what you learn, Persius.

Persius starts blushing and giggling: Of course goddess. You have given me the chance to learn more as I set my sights on Baehalan. I heard the food is quite good and spicy. Hehe.

Natasia starts ushering him out a bit: Yes it is. Alright alright let's go, I still have quite a bit of arrangements to do before you set off okay?

Persius: *he skips and looks back at her one last time* I promise I'll write to you. Please write back to me.

Natasia waits for him to leave the temple and turns back to Aiah: What happened? You got weird. Weirder than usual.

Aiah: I don't know what you mean, Natasia~. I was my usual self. You think everything I do is odd.

Natasia, sighs heavily and rubs her temples: No this was different. Yes, you have thought some of my students were attractive but…with him it's almost like you couldn't help it. Like you were drawn to something. You of course know who he is right?

Aiah: He's a young diplomat in training, just like you told me.

Natasia looks up at Aiah, and begins to glare: That's not what I'm talking about Aiah. You know that.

They both look at each other and there's an intense stare down between them.

Aiah: -she breaks first and rolls her eyes- Don't worry so much my friend. It was nothing to worry about, your student will be safe.

Natasia: *she looks away as well but also furrows her brow in frustration but also in deep thought until she goes back to more neutral* Alright. I must go and prepare him after all he'll be gone for three years. Have a good day. *looks at her, but bows respectively and leaves* What was that? She's always hiding shit! Ugh nevermind I need to get him ready to leave.

What ensues after is young Persie preparing his things to go to Baehalan, a continent with rich history, amazing sights and people, and many ruling parties all trying to guard what's theirs and possibly procure more. Persie begins to make his goodbyes known to his best friend who he has been friends with since he was 5 years old. And off he goes to Baehalan for three years…
